Precious Consequences

Rate this book
All it took was one night to change the rest of my life.

One night that created irrevocable consequences.

But some consequences aren’t all bad.

They can be amazing…beautiful… Precious.

I willingly accepted those consequences and wrote a new plan for my life. But that plan didn’t include Cameron Argent – the sexy-as-sin tattooed playboy who got under my skin the moment I laid eyes on him. I was headed down a dark and dangerous road where he was concerned and in the end, our relationship was inevitable. Despite our dark secrets, our feelings for each other burned brighter than a thousand stars and left us both naked, vulnerable.

But when my past came rolling back into my life like a Summer storm, I wasn’t sure if his love for me was enough.
Was he prepared to deal with the consequences of a past I couldn’t regret or would he walk away with my beating heart in his hands?

I anxiously anticipated this book, awaiting its real ease win bated breath cause I really like the authors first story. Sadly this one fell flat for me. The characters were sort of boring and I couldn't quite believe it was the same author who wrote Beneath Your Beautiful.

Cam - my goodness where do I start? He was so removed from what I expected him to be like it's not even funny! He was selfish, rude, crass and wallowed in self- pity. Oh my goodness the self pity was unbearable. He was a proper douche nozzle and I really felt for Hayley cause he treated her really poorly. I didn't find any redeeming qualities in him at all and I was actually glad when they broke up and was waiting for a nice guy to come in a sweep Hayley and Ari off their feet. He was redeemed to late in the book in my eyes, if you could call it redeem... he was too much of an a**hole for most of the book. I really despised him.

Hayley - She fell a bit flat for me, didn't really connect with her. She was too nice to Cam, too good for him actually. I kept thinking after all you've been through, is this really the type of guy you wanna be with? And that thing with her and that Rachel chick in the bathroom, I was like "really!!" Who gives a toss? He already broke up with you so who cares if he sees it!?!? I found that plot line to be a little weak.

The other characters... what were their names again? I can't remember but I guess if I can't then that makes they didn't stand out enough for me to remember.

All in all it was an ok read but thought it would have been better. Saying that I will read the authors other works when they come out, I was just disappointed by this one.

The cover first attracted me to this book and then I checked out the synopsis! The synopsis doesn't actually tell you a lot about what happens in the book too be completely honest with you, so I went into this book not really knowing what it was going to be about lol! I can say that I did enjoy it and it was pretty different to what I was expecting! The plot was all about just how precious consequences can be and that not all of them are bad! It was also about two people who had been through a lot finding love and acceptance! Although, I loved the plot, I did have a few problems with it as well! The plot sort of stayed on the one level for most of the book and wasn't really very climatic! Don't get me wrong, there were some points where there were quite surprising moments, but I felt like I was reading them all on one level and it didn't waver to make me desperate to read on or anything like that! The plot was interesting though and I think it's actually the first time I've read something like it! I don't want to give too much away with the plot as it's so much better if you experience it with your own eyes! I also have to point out that I did spot some spelling and grammar errors in this book, but I'm not sure whether I was given an unedited ARC or a final copy for the Blog Tour! The characters were great! Hayley was the female main character and I thought she was a wonderful person! She was so nice and I could tell that she sort of wore her heart on her sleeve! My heart went out to her for what happened to her, but I loved that she didn't regret the consequences that came from what happened to her and instead she embraced them! Completely embraced them! Hayley was such a loving character and at times I found myself wanting to hug her something fierce, because she just always tried her best and embraced the good with the bad! Cameron 'Cam' was the main male character in this book and at the beginning, I thought he was a serious ass! Especially the way he reacted to finding out what Hayley had neglected to tell him, because she wanted to have one night where she was a normal teenager! I lost some serious respect for him in that scene, but as the book progressed, he did start to change after he realised that his feelings for Hayley outweighed his stubbornness! Cam did have his own secrets to bare in this book, which sort of explained the way he reacted sometimes! He was also hot and had a bit of a cocky side to him as well! I loved that this book was written from both Hayley and Cam's point of views as it made the story so much more interesting! The secondary characters in this book were brilliant! They added so much to the story and really helped fuel the plot! I can completely understand why this book is a standalone as the ending summed up Hayley and Cam's relationship and it showed just how much it had developed! It was also a beautiful ending that tied up all the loose ends in the book! After I read this book I discovered that there's going to be a novella to finish off this book, but I'm not sure if it's still going to be about Hayley and Cam! As I said, the cover for this book is what attracted me to it! Everything about it is stunning and I completely love it! Big thank you to Tamsyn for an ARC of Precious Consequences and to Enticing Journey Book Promotions for having me on the Blog Tour!

I read Beneath Your Beautiful (the debut novel by this author) and really liked it so it was a no brainer to read her next book, Precious Consequences. Well, I was definitely NOT disappointed. I am amazed at how much her writing has improved in the short amount of time between writing the two books. BYB was really good but PC was GREAT!

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It was a nice change from the typical books I have been reading which all include a hot guy and some timid, doesn't know she is beautiful virgin who has just been waiting for the right guy to come along. Yes, it had some of those elements...Cameron Argent is definitely a HOT guy! He has everything I look for...tattoos, ripped body, charm and the most important...he is a dirty talker ;) Cam is also hiding a secret that is slowly destroying him until he meets one Miss Hayley Tanner. Hayley is gorgeous but she is definitely NO virgin. Hayley has a past, a sordid one. She also has one very big reminder of that past...an adorable 2 year old daughter named Ari. For the past 2 years Hayley has been basically living life in seclusion and just caring for her daughter whom she loves with all her heart. She has NO regrets when it comes to Ari. She is a protective, loving mother and I adored her interaction with her daughter <3

Hayley meets Cam on her first day of college after her car breaks down and he gives her a ride...a real ride...like, in his truck ;)There may be other "rides" coming later ;)The two hit it off but Cam is a player who is not looking for anything serious. He is carrying some serious guilt around and doesn't feel he deserves a happy life. Hayley is also not looking for anything serious. She just wants to go to school and raise her daughter. Unfortunately for them but FORTUNATELY for me, these two can't deny their attraction. They finally get together only to be temporarily torn apart when Cam finds out what Hayley is "hiding". There were times I wanted to slap Cam upside the head but he did finally get it together so I forgave the tattooed hottie. There is definitely a lot of angst, some tears and some funny stuff too. Let's just say having a relationship when you have a two year old can be "challenging" and leave it at that.

This is a book that will make your heart tighten in your chest and your pulse race...it may also make you a little tingly in your lady bits ;) It is a beautiful love story with NO cliffy! I HIGHLY recommend it and give it 5 stars! Don't miss out...make sure you one click this one today!

Really enjoyed this book 4.5 stars just missing a 5 from me. Hayley senior year her world imploded. Now she lives with her grandmother, the only one who believed and accepted her and her precious 2 yrs old daughter, Ariana. She meets Cameron while dropping Ari off at her 1st day of daycare and her 1st day of college classes. He is sexy, funny and helps her with her broken down car and a ride to class.

She is set on being the good student, doing whats best for her and Ari and sexy boys ain't one of those things but Cam is persistent, asking her daily to go on a date till he wears her down and she accepts. On said date he is shocked to learn one of her secrets, she has a kid! Acting like an ass he ruins his chances with her when he realizes kid or no kid he really wants her. He works hard to get back in her good graces but just as things are going well, his secrets and than her hers threaten their chances at happiness.

Are some secrets just to hard to overlook and move on from?

I loved Cam and Hayley. I loved the secondaries too...Hannah, Noah, Taylor. High recommendation on this book.

You know what I love about reading? I love that when you read some books you can jump right into the story! You can also make a mini movie while reading said story.. even if you need to make some commercials in between. The story of Hayley Tanner, she is a young nineteen year old College Freshman with a 2 year old daughter Arianna, they live with Hayley's grandmother after Hayley left home while pregnant with Arianna. Hayley has a past, one she ran away from.. can she move on now that she is starting college? "MOST GIRLS MY AGE WOULD'VE GIVEN THEIR BABY UP FOR ADOPTION,KNOWING THEY'RE NOT READY TO BE A MOTHER AT THE TENDER AGE OF SEVENTEEN. BUT I'M NOT ONE OF THOSE GIRLS. DESPITE THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE UNTIMELY CONCEPTION OF MY DAUGHTER, I MADE THE CHOICE TO LIVE WITH THE CONSEQUENCES OF MY ACTIONS AND REFUSED TO REGRET A SINGLE MOMENT OF MY LIFE. LOOKING AT THE LITTLE FACE THAT SO CLOSELY RESEMBLES MINE; I FIND IT IMPOSSIBLE TO WISH THAT MY SITUATION WAS ANY DIFFERENT." She meets Cameron.. dashing, sexy full of tattoos, Captain of the Swim team, Man Whore, hottie... when she has trouble with her car in front of Ari's daycare. Cameron has a past of his own.. One he feels quite guilty about so he indulges in sleeping with every girl he finds. When he meets Hayley he feels a pull, an attraction he can't get over. You have Hannah and Noah (brother and sister) who are Cameron's best friends , Noah sets an eye on Hayley but steps away when he sees Cameron likes Hayley and Hannah becomes Hayley's best friend. Cameron wants to change when he feels his attraction to Hayley.. he wants to date her... read this blurb"HAYLEY, I... I WANTED TO KNOW IF YOU'D LIKE TO GO OUT WITH ME?" "UH." "NOT QUITE THE REACTION I WAS HOPING FOR." "CAMERON, I DON'T KNOW. I DON'T THINK IT'S A GOOD IDEA." "WELL, THAT'S NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE." "WHAT? A GIRL'S NEVER SAID NO TO YOU BEFORE?" NO, BUT THAT'S FINE. I CAN BE PRETTY PERSISTENT WHEN I SEE SOMETHING I WANT." "OH, REALLY?" "YES MA'AM." "I'LL JUST ASK YOU AGAIN TOMORROW." "AND WHAT IF I SAY NO?" "I'LL KEEP ASKING YOU UNTIL YOU WANT ME SO BAD YOU'LL SAY YES." "I WILL GET YOU TO GO ON A DATE WITH ME, HAYLEY TANNER, EVEN IF I HAVE TO ASK YOU EVERY DAY FOR A MONTH." Well now if that isn't that something funny! I loved how good of a mother Hayley is ! Arianna melted my heart, such a cutie I imagined her the whole time reading! I got into the book right away, it caught my attention the whole time that I even forgot to cook dinner!! LOL I love the relationship between all of the characters, I must say that Hayley and Cameron are a hot couple, with hot sex scenes!! Loved it loved it loved it! There is some drama of course but these characters are kick butt! I love Precious Consequences, it's got a HEA! I give it 5 stars! ~Chris :)

I just love TAMSYN BESTER!!

I have loved all of her books and she's one of the authors that I'll look up her page every once in a while just to make sure I'm not missing out on any of her releases.

This was no exception. This was probably actually my 4th time reading this. I've read all of her books numerous times...now actually reading BYB for what's probably the 5th or 6th time I just love them all.

I don't like to rehash the plot since there's a description but just know that this is an awesome book. The characters..you just love them...pretty much all of the main characters are awesome and I'm excited to see what comes of the sequel to this book and who the focus will be.

If I had to say one bad thing about this book..and it's minor but sometimes I have like obsessive compulsion when I'm reading books and this for whatever reason REALLY bugs me everytime..the dates are so screwed up.. it says..
December 2011- she gets pregnant
July 2011- she has the baby ( uh what)
August 2013 is the present and she says her daughter is two
When she's in the diner way later in the book she says her daughter was born in July 2012.
It's just all screwed up and doesn't add up. She should have gotten pregnant in 2010 and then her daughter born July 2011...that's what would have made sense. It's something so small but somehow annoys me a lot.

haha anyways..apart from that this is really good..I'm going to get back to BYB and then probably read Destined to fall... AGAIN!!

Check out Tamsyns books...they are worth the read :)

After reading "Beneath Your Beautiful" I was super excited to hear about Tamsyn's newest release, "Precious Consequences." The synopsis drew me in, a firm lover of second chances, growing and learning from your past mistakes. "Precious Consequences" didn't disappoint.

Hayley is a young 19 year old single teenage mother. The first chapter of the book flashes back to when she was 17 and gives us a glimpse into her thoughts and feelings that led to her getting pregnant. No relationship with her parents, Hayley is raising her daughter Ari, living with her grandmother, the one person who stood by her. Hayley is hiding so much of her past, determined to make sure Ari does not end up paying for her mother's mistakes.

Precious Consequences was an absolutely amazing book. Hayley & Cameron made laugh & cry but I was always rooting for them & never disliked either one. It's a story about growing as a person & a couple, realizing you can't let the past interfer with the future. Tamsyn Bester is an amazing writer & I can't wait to see what she comes up with next.

Nicky's Review

3 Stars

Characters- I really liked the main characters Hayley and Cameron. She was very sweet and I really respected her for the choices she made after the BIG change in her life. Cameron was super sexy and very sweet as the book went on.

Plot/Storyline- Story was good but there were a few moments that were sort of skimmed past and rushed through when they should have been earth shattering or at least more extensive.

Steam Factor- Cameron is super sexy in and out of bed! Love his swimmers physique and sexy tattoos :)

Cover- Cover honestly has me a little perplexed. The main character, Hayley, is supposed to have dark curly hair and bright green eyes... Who is this girl on the cover?

Cliffhanger- Nope. This is a standalone with a HEA :)

Overall- It was a very sweet book and I enjoyed it most of the time and could truly relate to Hayley when it came to her feelings towards Arianna, but life changing events that occur are sort of rushed through and resolved too quickly for my liking. I'll explain...

Let me start with the positives. Hayley is an amazing girl who had a great head on her shoulders for a 17 year old. I truly respect her decisions and the way she handles her situation. Her inner dialogue when it comes to Arianna is like the voice of many women in the world and is truly relatable. I felt that I could have written some of the things she has said about Arianna. The story starts when she is 19 years old.

And then there's Cameron, the stereotypical tattooed, sexy as sin douche who sleeps around and throws girls out right after without a second look back. He is very drool worthy, but this is where the story sort of falls into predictable territory. He's a douche one minute and then he turns around, sees Hayley for all of 5 seconds and then decides that she's the most beautiful thing that has ever graced his eyes. Her car is broken down and he approaches her, looks at her car, and then offers her a ride... Which she TAKES!!! Seriously?! A girl in her situation should hold her life at a higher priority than to take a ride from a stranger, but he's pretty so its ok... Right.... Anyway...

Hayley has a past history of being a slut in school and something is leaked that ruins her reputation in her Senior year of High School. This causes her parents to shun her and she goes to live with her grandmother. I never really understood the severity of her errors that would cause her parents to throw her out and its sort of skimmed over and we're just supposed to accept it without really any thorough explanation. That sort of rubbed me wrong but I let it slide to just get into the story.

Cameron and Hayley resist more than friendship but then attraction is there just pulling them together. Things heat up and then a secret is discovered that has Cameron running from Hayley. They try again and then things happen with Cameron's family and he pushes her away AGAIN! Then they try again and guess what, after he lets her go so many times, she TAKES HIM BACK and SHE says SHE's SORRY. I was completely confused over what SHE should be sorry about. HE treats her like crap, pushes her away, and then grovels which results in her apologizing. I didn't understand that at all. I felt he should have been the one apologizing.

Then there's the diner scene with Kyle, Kimber, Rachel, Noah, and Hannah. This is where the Two BIG BOMBS are dropped, but then it just putters out. I was like, "Wha...What?! All of the secrets and answers have been exposed and the only consequences are a few choice words, one low life douche bag walking away a free man with no worries, and a punch in the face. That's it?"

Despite these issues, I did enjoy reading about Hayley's journey, her growth from 17 years old into her 19th year, the challenges she faced head on and very well if I do say so myself, her relationship with Arianna, and her heart of gold. I also enjoyed Cameron's sexy self, his ability to overcome his demons through Hayley, and his growth from douche to honorable man. The supporting characters provided the story with humor, the middle men when Hayley and Cameron are on the outs, and just great support for the main characters.

This is a very sweet story and you will come away with some great moments but you will also have to deal with some plot holes that will having you saying, "This could have been a GREAT book had some of the points of the story been expanded upon, explained, and given the weight of importance that they deserved." I understand that this is a story about Hayley and Cameron healing from their past through their present relationship with each other, but all of the history and events that brought them to where they are are just as important and it just would have made this story amazing had those events been given their much needed time.

I will read another book by Tamsyn Bester because I did enjoy the story despite some plot holes. She is a really good writer and will pull you into the story and characters. Thank you for your time and commitment to this story Tamsyn Bester. I know writing a book is not easy and I have yet to take on that challenge and you have done a great job creating a wonderful story with just a little polishing needed. XOXO

Favorite Quotes:

"I couldn't pretend that my life hadn't changed. But I also couldn't bring myself to regret the irrevocable consequences that forever changed me. I learned the true meaning of selflessness and what it meant to love someone so much you'd give up everything for them. I finally understood what it meant to sacrifice your own heart, just to allow another to beat."

"If I didn't know any better I'd think she was a normal old lady, but underneath that façade is a whole lot of batshit crazy."

"'Hey little man. You enjoy your breakfast?' I smile at him and he nods, burrowing his head into my neck. I've become used to his little displays of affection and I'll come to miss them when he leaves. Something about the way he hugs, or even touches, is so innocent and sincere. It's a reminder of what we are, before life happens and takes it from us."

"'And now that I know we'll be best friends, I'm going to buy you a Latte and tell you all my inappropriate secrets, and what turns me on.'"

"'Holy Chees on a cracker,' Taylor sighs. 'That man is fifty shades of sexy!' 'I know right!' Hanna chips in. 'Did you see the buns of steel on his derriere?'"

"Does he expect me to read his mind? Because that's worse than trying to get a dog to meow."

"'Are you fucking kidding me? I hear about yours almost every night. It's a good thing mom and dad aren't at home that often, otherwise they'd think you've turned our house into a brothel. And for the love of my ear drums, stop screwing girls who scream like banshees or at least stuff a sock in their mouths. I can't handle the sound of cats being strangled any longer."

"By the time I get home, my hands, face and feet are numb but it doesn't matter much. Because the one part of my body that I need to be numb, even if just for a little while, still pumps furiously behind my rib cage. I didn't realize that it was possible for a heart to keep beating while in pieces."

I suppose if any label were to be applied to this form of storytelling, it wouldn't be coming of age so much as coming of life.

The two MCs are products of their own environment. As one character begins to put away her childish things, she must atone for childish decisions and regrettable mistakes. but this is where we find Hayley, on the far side of her trauma though it remains unresolved. After a few speed bumps, she's up to the task of getting her life back on track. She responsible and determined... she's just not that much of a mechanic.

And it's in the midst of one of life's little accidents that she meets Cameron who is more of torpedo... in the pool.. in the sack... and unfortunately in his life. a deep, dark emotional scar makes this man scurry like a child away from making adult decisions and he's just going through life, swim-meet after swim meet with ample breaststrokes between the sheets in the interim. Just one look and he forgets to lock himself away in the dungeon he's made for himself. What follows is... well, quite worthy of a turning of the page.

I fell a bit like Cameron. Reading Tamsyn's pages, I forgot that I am not a fan of First Person Voice. The split narrative (part we see through Hayley's eyes and at other times we're treated to Cameron's perspective) provides enough of a ping pong effect to keep me from getting bored though admittedly I doubt that I would given how well each of their voices flow through the manuscript.

Nothing feels manufactured and I was very much drawn to the revelations when they came about. Definitely a very good read!

Loved this book!! Twists and turns and emotional, being 20 years of age I wouldn't know how I could have dealt with having a child at Hayley's age. Cam did redeem himself for my liking throughout the book. I hope the second book is about Hannah's brother - forgot his name lol

About The Book:

Review:

I already said this, but Tamsyn Bester is a great and wonderful author. And she showed us, readers, once more how she can create beautiful and swoony stories with her new book Precious Consequences.
In this sweet story, we meet Hayley. She is an amazing girl and she shows us how one action can change your future. But she does not regret it, because thanks to one mistake she has the most wonderful thing in her life: her daughter.
You really sympathize with her and can easily relate yourself with her. She is strong, fierce, passionate and protective over her loved ones. I would love to have her as a friend. And she always helps her friends.
Cameron is the school playboy. And honoring that title, he's sexy and hot as hell, cocky and secure with himself. I cannot say that he changes one hundred per cent when she meets Hayley, 'cause Cam is still Cam, with all his cockiness and all. But he stops being a playboy to win Hayley's heart.
However, Hayley is afraid of falling for Cam and that he won't accept her being a mother and Cam has no clue that Hayley is hiding a secret. But he cannot blame her either, 'cause he's keeping another secret from the rest of the world.
I liked how Tamsyn wrote their story. They are attracted to one another, but their relationship grows with time. Like a normal and healthy relationship. Then problems and secrets start to unravel and is what makes the story spun and keep the reader captivated until the very last page.
I have to confess, this story is full of emotion. Sometimes I cried, sometimes I laughed and sometimes and were every time on edge trying to know what would happen with these two.
I loved the story, the characters, their relationship, their friends and the EPIC ending. And I was delighted when Cam punched "someone" almost at the end of the book and the beautiful things he said to Hayley. It was a romantic "movie-type" scene and that only earned more points to put Cam in my Fictional Boys List.
As I said, Tamsyn reminded us, readers, once more the power of love in a sweet, swoony and wonderful New Adult story. And she also showed us the great author she is. The only thing left to say to Tamsyn that she needs to keep writing such heart-breaking stories. And to you, Book Addicts, that you cannot miss this new story. Because it is definitely a must read New Adult that should be in your shelf!

**JUST BOOKED received an ARC for an honest review**

WHEN ONE POOR DECISION BECOMES A PRECIOUS CONSEQUENCE OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

Precious Consequences is about Hayley Tanner making a poor decision one night at the age of 17 years old, while attending a senior year house party. She was excited, because Kyle Henderson, the school’s football captain, had invited her personally to the party. Kyle was a year older than Hayley and she has had been crushing on Kyle since she was twelve years old, even though Kyle was known as the school playboy and her invitation may have been a trick, regardless she went to the party. Hayley was no saint herself, because her parents had forgotten about the daughter they had Hayley found affection and love in the arms of others with sex. Despite the circumstances of her poor decision, she received the most precious gift that would turn her life around and give it new purpose.

Cameron Argent is 21 years old, captain of the swimming team, muscular body with tattoos, charming, and cocky. Cameron is not only PANTY DROPPING HOT, but he does not commit to relationships. Cameron finds that he cannot commit, because he also is fighting some demons from his past until he meet Hayley.

“God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; enjoying one moment at a time; accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next. Amen” – Cameron’s tattoo

Haley is now 19 years old on her way for her first day to college when her Mini Cooper will not start when Cameron sees a BEAUTIFUL Haley and asks if she needs any assistance, so she explains her car will not start. He offers a ride to the university and explains he would call his friend to have her car towed to the auto repair garage. Of course, Cameron is flirtatious but Hayley is determining to take care of her priorities. Unfortunately, the Cameron is VERY persistent and he will get what he wants and we he does they both cannot deny the chemistry between them.

Can Hayley and Cameron both overcome their demons, so they could find true happiness with each other?

”Love Cannot Save You From Your Own Fate” – Cameron’s tattoo

“Of course you deserve it (Love), everybody does. It doesn’t always happen when we expect it, but that’s the beauty of it. When it catches you by surprise, that’s when you know it’s for real.” – Hayley disagreeing with Cameron’s tattoo

Author Tamsyn Bester romance novel, Precious Consequences, has done an AMAZING job writing an EMOTIONAL LOVE STORY capturing your HEART and SOUL immediately unable to put the book down. You will feel a roller coaster of emotions of LOVE, COMPASSION, SADNESS, ANGER, DISTRUST, FORGIVENESS, and LAUGHTER.

I rate Tamsyn Bester’s novel, Precious Consequences – 5 AMAZING STARS

Have you ever sat and contemplated your life and how every decision you made impacted the events? When you truly stop and look back each of us has things that we regret and wish we could take back and moments that we wouldn't change for all the money in the world. Precious Consequences is an outstanding story about life and the choices that are made.

Hayley Tanner is a 19 year old single mother that lives in hiding with her grandma. After some flashbacks and history, you understand what has kept her living in the shadows and away from prying eyes. Her daughter, Arianna, is the reason she lives and breathes. I love the relationship that Hayley has with Ari. It so perfectly describes a mothers love for their child. As a mom, I can understand Hayley's motives and desire to protect Her child at all costs, even if it will destroy Hayley emotionally. I can't explain to you how much I love these characters. They are so amazingly well written.

Cameron Argent is broken in his own way. He is struggling to live his life in happiness because of the consequences of his actions years earlier. He puts on a good show for others, but deep down his guilt and remorse for mistakes he's made are eating him away a little bit each day. When he first meets Hayley there is instant attraction. While Cam is looking for an easy lay, Hayley has responsibilities that Cam can't even fathom. Hayley's fear about being judged because of Ari and her desire to protect her are noble, but what will happen when Cameron learns the truth?

I love the intertwining of characters in this book. Although it is told from alternating POV of Hayley and Cam, I think the reader can see multiple stories playing out in the pages; not only the love, turmoil and relationship of Cam and Hayley but also the choices their friends make. Hannah, Taylor and Noah, Cam and Hayley's friends, all make good and bad choices and as you are reading you can also see the consequences of their actions. You also see motives behind what others do to people. While it can never justify their actions, sometimes it's nice to at least understand why people do the things they do.

This was the first book by Tamsyn Bester that I have had the pleasure of reading. I look forward to reading many more! She is a fantastic author and knows exactly how to pull you into a story from the Prologue! I can't wait until the release of her next book, Destined To Fall in January! I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. I am, however, happy to report that you can purchase this book for only .99!! That is an amazing buy for this book. I highly recommend that you one click it today!!

I really liked this book. It was a sweet love story about a young girl who became a mother way too young, suffered a lot of heartache, was pushed aside, and finally finding herself.

We meet Hayley at the tender age of 19. She is the mother of a sweet 2 year old little girl named Ari. How she became pregnant with Ari is a sad, typical teenage story. She flees from where she is living with her parents (well, they basically cast her aside because of something that happens which we don't find out until close to the end) and takes refuge with her Gama (her grandmother).

She is such a good mom who has a good head on her shoulders. She doesn't date. She doesn't make complications by even taking a interest in men as her daughter is her number 1 priority. After a chance encounter with our hero, Cam, sparks fly. Hayley tries to deny her attraction to him and push him aside. She is constantly rejecting his advances and turning him down when he asks her out. They form a friendship which eventually turns into a relationship.

There are complications along the way. He doesn't know she is a mom so he doesn't take that well. But after much groveling and Cam explaining why he is the way he is (something very tragic happened in his life) they decide to form a relationship and give it another try again.

Their relationship blossoms and is very sweet and swoonworthy but nothing in life is simple. A tragedy happens in Cam's life again and he reacts badly, ending his relationship with Hayley. They hit a few bumps in the road while apart but eventually find themselves coming back together after secrets are revealed.

I loved the epilogue. It was sweet and I would love to see more from Cam and Hayley. I would also love to see some side characters from the book get their own like Jenna, Noah and Hannah. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Cam was super sweet but a douche at times. He was also 21 so he was acting like a typical male really. He was loving to her daughter so he got BIG points from me. I didn't like the diner scene... I mean really say something damnit! :/ And I didn't like how he kept saying such mean things then would be like that's not what I meant. He is a typical sexy, hot playboy who plays the field but never settles down.

I gave it 4 stars because I wanted the end to be a little longer. I thought it could have been expanded a bit more before the epilogue. I just felt like it was a but rushed at the end after all the drama. I needed more of a clean break before we jump years down the road. As I said, maybe we will see them in other books if this becomes a series and the stories are continued.

This is my first book by this author and it definitely won't be my last!

I was given this book as an ARC for an honest review.
I gave this book 5 stars.

This is Hayley and Cameron's story.

Hayley lived her life like she didn't care she slept around and it didn't matter what the next day brought, she slept with men and used them, just like they did her. One night changes her whole life when she makes a decision that will affect everything that she does from now on.

Cameron is someone who loves to be with his friends have fun and party it up, one night when he drinks to much something happens that changes his life forever too.

When these too damaged souls meet each other it is hard to stay away when they feel such a connection. But when Cameron finds out her secrets, she has more then one, and when she finds out his, is it going to change how these two feel about each other? Can they survive it? And can the stick together long enough to see that sometimes love does conquer all?

This was a great story, I was so proud of the decisions that Hayley made in her life, they were hard decisions ones that turned her from her family and her friends. She is with her gamma and they take care of each other, and Cameron acts like he is this big hard ass but the truth of the matter is that he needs someone to come along that is going to bring out the spectacular in him! It's there it's just hidden really well.

This story is about two people coming together even over life's circumstances. They struggle and they hurt. But they try to love, I loved not only the main characters but also the side ones as well. Ari is the sweetest most precious little girl in the world. And her gamma is amazingly supportive and loving. Cameron has his sister and his mom that are always there for him to lean on. Even if he thinks that his life is falling apart.

I would recommend this story for any one who loves a good romance book. they have some problems that they have to overcome but they struggle to make it through them. Tamsyn you are a beautiful writer and I can't wait to read more from you in the future, this was my first book that I have read from you and I was not disappointed.

This book will have you believing in love again, and in second chances, and in HEA! <3

Precious Consequences was absolutely precious indeed! I immediately fell in love with all of the characters in this story especially Hayley and Ari. Hayley made a choice to face the consequences of her actions at the age of seventeen a choice she doesn’t regret, now at the age of nineteen she is ready to move forward in her life and build a future for herself and the person that depends on her the most. What she wasn’t ready for was to meet the sexy-stud muffin Cameron Argent. Plagued by his own demons and fear of getting close to someone; Cameron finds something in Hayley that makes him rethink the idea of allowing someone into his heart.

I loved Hayley, I can’t say that enough times. She is such a strong, independent character with nothing but heart. She gives herself completely to her responsibilities and she takes the mistakes she made in her pasts and learns from them. I was in awe of her actions throughout the story, there were times when I thought she would for sure breakdown and lose it and she never did. Hayley stayed strong because in her heart she knew she had someone relying on her to do so. She not only stayed strong in the face of rejection or shame but she was even there for Cameron at his worst.

Now Cameron, there were some occasions where I wanted to punch him in the face but I did understand his insecurity and guilt and how it played a huge role in how he interacted with Hayley. In the end the two balanced each other; Hayley gave Cameron strength and he in turn gave her love. And I won’t say too much about Ari because she is just a ray of sunshine in this book, the instant she is introduced you are sure to fall head over heels in love with her.

I truly enjoyed this story. It was a change of pace for me as a lot of the book had more to do with the characters working through their inner issues versus outside factors affecting their relationships. Precious Consequences was a touching story about moving forward and not living in the past, learning from your mistakes and making sure you don’t repeat them, and finally realizing that everyone deserves love and you should never be afraid to let someone in your heart. There was a phrase in the book that was repeated twice and I thought it was brilliant, just a few words but it packed so much power it was “We’re all strangers until we decide to be friends”. Simply humbling. Fantastic read all around.

5 stars !!

Loved how this story unfolded. Right from the start you can tell it is going to be great , filled with secrets and many what if's. A roller coaster ride of emotions. Well written and very easy to relate to the characters. My only complaint was in the end , 4 years later , someone has left and I was sad to not get the story of that , this person was such a big part of the book, I felt , so it was sad to hear about, but not get the full effect of them leaving.

Such a great bond between Hayley , her Gamma and Ari , I love reading about their home life and how they support each other. Hayley is a great mom , young, but great regardless. She is living with her 2 yr old daughter and Gamma and has been for years. She is bettering herself by going to college and trying to be a better person than she was in the past. Her childhood was not very happy and feeling unloved by her parents caused her to act out in high school. These actions resulted in a whirlwind of issues at home and school and not to mention an unplanned pregnancy. Growing up and moving on has not been easy but Hayley is happy with where she is in life.

Cameron is a hot swim team captain that does not have time for relationships , so he plays around with anyone willing. His home life was always great until 1 night changed that all. Now Cam's guilt of how he ripped his family apart eats away at him causing him to be closed off to love and relationships.

A chance meeting between Hayley and Cam seems innocent enough but for Cam he just cannot let it go , he wants Hayley and will pull out all the stops to get her. Hayley feels a connection with Cam but keeps important information from him in the hopes to have some normalcy as a college student. When their secrets/worlds collide the pressure is too much and Cam freaks. Realizing he was wrong he then works his way back into Hayley's world and into the heart of her daughter. Then tragedy strikes Cam's family and his guilt shuts him down pushing Hayley away. Will these two catch a break or will their pasts keep messing things up for them ??

Such a heartfelt story reading about Cam and Hayley's past mistakes and the ways they try to deal with them. In the end they finally get some happy and it is well deserved. I would love more about them , their future or more insight to their pasts !!
