This was so OTT with drama, and the back and forth between Reed and Elle was ridiculous. But I couldn't stop reading. I don't even know if I want these two to end up together, but I need to know what happens next.

God this book had me all over the place, one minute I'm rooting for Cane, the next I want to bitch slap him, then I'm yeah go for Reed because he sounds hot, then he also has a few douche bag moments so then my last resort is her best friend Tyler!! I kind of feel like Elle I can't make up my mind who I want to be with lol..But then Tyler just seems like the safe option!!
I really enjoyed this book and can't wait for book 2 to be released!! *WANTS* Book 2!!

I had the honor of beta reading this book and I absolutely loved it! I so love a good love triangle and this one… well we get a little more with a possible love square! Oh yes… there is three hot as sin men in the book! We have Cane the boyfriend, Tyler the best friend, and Reed the hottie that’s new in town! What is not to love about those three! This book is in a dual POV from both Elle and Reed. I love it when we get in to a males POV!
We start off with Elle and Cane in a relationship. They have been together for a couple of years and is not always been peaches and cream. Elle has a girl’s night out with a coworker when she comes across the hot as hell Reed. Little does she know that fate will have them crossing paths more than just that night. Elle along with her best friend Tyler work together at Community Center while finishing up classes at the local university when the new guy comes in… the hottie from the night club Reed. She feels an instant connection to him but being she is in a relationship with Cane, she does what any respectful girl does… nothing. She loves Cane and is committed to him. Until she catches him lip locking with his ex! She kicks him to the curb and works to rebuild a life without Cane. Her best friend Tyler is always there for her. They have been best friends since grade school and he is there to pick up the pieces after Cane breaks her heart.
Oh Tyler… what’s not to love about the All American boy next door baseball stand out? He has always felt something for Elle but never has acted on them. Now that Cane is out of the picture does he get his chance??

A love triangle is complicated enough. Love square? That is a whole different shenanigan. So yeah, this one has love square. We have 3 boys vying for her attention: there is current boyfriend who becomes an ex, Cane. The ever supportive best friend who has feelings for her, Tyler. And the shiny new hot guy from Texas, Reed. And the girl in the middle of it is Elle. Now this book was OK. And if you are going to ask me who I like, I probably will go with the best friend. Tyler has always been supportive of her, he wasn’t hiding his feelings but what I like about him is that he’s not forcing himself to her. And while he wishes for more, he’s contented with what she can only give to him. Reed comes overconfident to me for some reason. And Cane, as I have foreseen is the collateral damage. I know he is the ‘current’ boyfriend when the story start but I know he’s not gonna hold the title much longer. I wish there are books that show a clean break-up. I mean, sometimes things just don’t work. I want to see a healthy break-up and not some scandalous over top mayhem.
The ending was so ambiguous and I’m not even sure if there’s going to be second book. Still, I’m rooting for the best friend and if it happens to have sequel can you give his POV too? Pretty please?

I really don't know where to start, do i will start with what everyone wants to hear. REED, OMG I am in love. What a guy!! He's a troubled soul, and i really feel for him. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and although he's been a bit of a man whore in his past, when he meets Elle our sweet kind and funny heroine, he falls for her. Reed is sexy, faf, and an amazing character.
I feel for Tyler, Elle's best friend, because his friendship means the world to him, to them both. He has feelings for Elle, and he loves her with a passion, and i really dont want to see him get hurt. He too is a sweet guy.
Cane (Elle's ex) fucked up and lost the love of his life, stupid boy!
The angst of this love square is a dynamic and thrilling read, and i loved every page of it.
I can't wait to discover the ending and read Wanting Reed next.

However i would have given 5 stars if it werent for the mistakes in grammar and missing words. All of these i did overlook because i was so engrossed in the plot.

I feel for Tyler, Elle's best friend, because his friendship means the world to him, to them both. He has feelings for Elle, and he loves her with a passion, and i really dont want to see him get hurt. He too is a sweet guy.

Reed moves to Boston from Texas for a fresh start. What he is running from is a mystery for most of the book and at the end of the book we are still left with a lot of holes that need to be filled. The second Elle and Reed lay eyes on each other there is an instant attraction that neither of them can deny. When Elle catches Cane in a compromising position , Reed begins to pick up the pieces of her heart.
Meanwhile, Tyler is waiting in the sidelines for Elle to see what is right in front of her. He has always had more than friends feelings for Elle, but she is afraid to cross that boundary line because it would change their relationship and she doesn't want to risk losing her best friend who has been her rock though out her life.
This book ends with a cliffhanger that makes you want to jump off of the ledge, but leaves you wanting more. I want to know what happens next in this crazy love square! Yes, I said, LOVE SQUARE!!!!!! All three men are in love with her and she loves each of them in a different way. This book is really good and had me very entertained. It has very hot and steamy sex with a bit of angst thrown in.
The only thing that bothers me, is that Elle jumps from guy to guy, relationship to relationship. She needs to find out who she is by herself. She needs to find her strength to be alone for once in her life. I hope that she is able to stand on her own two feet before she decides where here heart lies.

3.5 Stars to 4 Stars
I kind of had conflicting feelings about this book. We've all read about the love triangle, well what about the love square? Yep, that’s what I said. One girl and three guys vying for her affection will have you swooning and wanting to punch something all at the same time.
First you have Elle, who is a young twenty two year old who has a lot on her plate with her family/home life. She has a good job and an amazing relationship with her boyfriend, Cane, of two years. She has a best friend, Tyler, who also happens to be in love with her but being her best friend for the last fourteen years, she has never seen him as anything other than a friend. And Tyler is ok with that (for the most part). Obviously he wants more with her but he understands that she doesn’t reciprocate the feelings. As long as he has her in his life, he is ok with that.
Sometimes you just can’t deny fate.
Literally tripping over Reed one night in a bar has Elle’s body responding and her heart hammering. And Reed, he’s never laid eyes on a more gorgeous girl in his life. She’s not only beautiful and wearing red (his favorite color) but there is something about her that draws him in and he can’t find it in himself to stay away.
“I know your type, Reed.”
“Oh, yeah, what type is that?” I smirk confidently.
“You’re trouble.” I totally agree with her, but it still doesn’t change anything. It only makes me want her more.
From the second they meet, they are drawn to each other. The chemistry between Reed and Elle is undeniable and intense but being in a relationship with someone else sure does complicate things. Elle has learned about all the bad in relationships from her mom and what she has with Cane is good. She is happy with him and he fulfills what she needs. But what about what she desires? What will it take for her to give into her undeniable attraction to the new guy in town?
I turn away, fighting my body and its reaction to this man. I cannot deny that I felt something fantastic when he touched me.
Reed is a playboy. After losing a girl who he thought he loved he has given in to his old ways and now just enjoys the single life. He is arrogant and cocky. He is so full of himself its borderline annoying but when he is with Elle he changes. He is sweet and caring and the feelings he has for her run so deep and more intense than anything he has ever felt before. He knows she is “it” for him and he will not do anything to jeopardize what they are building.
But Reed has secrets. Secrets that he feels will rip everything he has with Elle away. He wants to come clean to her but doesn’t want to lose her. Unforeseen, circumstances have him going back to Texas for a bit and when he runs into his old college flame the attraction is still there and she is pulling out all the stops to have Reed give in. Will Reed stay true to Elle and his feeling for her or will his playboy ways return and will he give into temptation?
“I can’t explain what you do to me, but now that there’s this distance between us, I know. You’re it for me. I’m where I’m supposed to be, where I am meant to be, and I won’t screw this up. I can’t.”
Between his ex-girlfriend and his old enemies, Reeds visit to Texas was not what he was expecting and despite his efforts, it may have just costs him the one girl he has ever loved.
Elle knows Reed is keeping secrets. Hell, she has some of her own that she needs to tell him. But with the distance between them, her ex wanting her back, and a best friend who doesn’t seem to stop pursuing her, she is even more confused now than ever.
“I guess Cane was right about Tyler wanting something more with you. I could tell too, but damn Elle, this love triangle shirt is getting complicated. Or maybe it’s a square since you got three guys falling in love with you.”
Will Elle and Reed be able to find the peace they need in each other or are their pasts too strong for them to overcome? This is the first book in the series. Wanting Reed is the second and is available now.
This is a great story with great characters for the most part. Elle got to be kind of annoying at times and the back and forth between the three guys literally had my head in scrambles. I'm not a fan of love triangles so that is the only reason I'm rating it a 3.5. If you eliminated some of the back and forth between her three admirers I would have rated this book a strong 4 stars.

What a debut from Antoinette Candela…4.5 STARS! I absolutely loved this story and will be anxiously awaiting the release of Wanting Reed…..yes there is a cliffhanger!
Elle is a stunning girl who comes from a broken family and has trouble letting people in. Well except for Tyler, her strikingly handsome best friend. Tyler has helped Elle through it all and has made himself her protector. It is clear to see that he wants more than just friendship with Elle, but he is resigned to sit on the sidelines.
Elle is involved with Cane her boyfriend of 2 years. Their relationship is her comfort zone. Cane and Elle work and play together. He tries to make her his first priority and they can’t seem to get enough of one another but when Elle meets the new hire at their job….she is having a hard time fighting the pull of her emotions.
Meet Reed Austin, the sexy cowboy from Texas that oozes charm when combined with his outrageous good looks will make you swoon. Reed sticks to casual encounters to protect himself but he has a hard time resisting his feelings for Elle. This cowboy stole my heart from the beginning and had me routing for him the whole way through.
But when a person from Cane’s past resurfaces and turmoil ensues Elle decides it’s time to start living for the here and now….with Reed. The journey of Reed and Elle was a roller coaster of emotions. You could feel their passion for one another radiating off the pages. Being together only a short period of time, they both have secrets that they have not shared with one another. Reeds secrets may be darker and they may be what destroys them.
So can you say “Love Square”? I was a little disappointed in Elle with regards to how she handled a few situations with Tyler. It appears that she had given herself completely to Reed and that she had her head on straight as to where her relationship stood with Tyler but then tossed it all aside.
I am looking forward to where seeing what happens between Elle and Reed in “Wanting Reed”. I hope that they can overcome all of the obstacles and achieve the Happy Ever After that they so truly deserve.

Elle is involved with Cane her boyfriend of 2 years. Their relationship is her comfort zone. Cane and Elle work and play together. Meet Reed Austin, the sexy cowboy from Texas that oozes charm when combined with his outrageous good looks will make you swoon. Reed sticks to casual encounters to protect himself but he has a hard time resisting his feelings for Elle. This cowboy stole my heart from the beginning and had me routing for him the whole way through.
But when a person from Cane’s past resurfaces and turmoil ensues Elle decides it’s time to start living for the here and now….with Reed. The journey of Reed and Elle was a roller coaster of emotions. You could feel their passion for one another radiating off the pages. Being together only a short period of time, they both have secrets that they have not shared with one another. Reeds secrets may be darker and they may be what destroys them.
So can you say “Love Square”? I was a little disappointed in Elle with regards to how she handled a few situations with Tyler. It appears that she had given herself completely to Reed and that she had her head on straight as to where her relationship stood with Tyler but then tossed it all aside.
I am looking forward to where seeing what happens between Elle and Reed in “Wanting Reed”. I hope that they can overcome all of the obstacles and achieve the Happy Ever After that they so truly deserve.

Breaking Elle is book one of the Break Me series by Antoinette Candela. I LOVED this book, it was excellently written and kept me sucked in from the beginning up until the very last word... I’m dying to read book two.
Elle is a beautiful young woman who has three men falling all over her and each other to have her for themselves, this makes for a brilliantly complicated love story and a great read. Cane and Elle have been together for two years, they work together and are spending as much time together over the summer before they both go off to separate collages. Tyler is Elle’s best friend and has been in love with her forever but never pursued his feelings because he knew she didn’t feel the same way and he didn’t want to lose her friendship. He’s the only constant in her life and has never let her down, therefore he keeps their relationship platonic so he doesn’t jeopardize that. Then the new guy in town Reed comes along and a stumble in a nightclub and an accidental touch ignites sparks she didn't want, since she's super happy with Cane. Elle has huge emotional issues and problems trusting people and Reed, well Reed has secrets, things he left in Texas and intended never to go back. From the offset you can tell that this is going to be an intense roller coaster of a story because things Elle never thought would happen do. Elle doesn’t like the new feelings so she has a huge internal battle going on throughout the novel. Mostly this is a sweet story of a young woman who is finding herself and for the first time going with her heart and instincts rather than what her head says she should do. Its funny and had me grinning like an idiot on more than one occasion. I’m officially a huge fan of Antionette Candela’s writing, it helps that managed sneak a few Lifehouse quotes into the novel which in the right places made the scenes they were used for more vivid and emotional. I cannot wait for book two of this series as this one ended with so much suspense its killing me! I have to know what happens next.. I cannot wait for Wanting Reed. 5 Stars!

I LOVED this book. It had a love triangle~ish feel to it and there were times where I had to wonder just who Elle was thinking about, but it was a fabulous story from a debut author that I will definitely be looking forward to reading more from.
Elle Bennett is a manager at a youth center, where both her best friend, Tyler, and her boyfriend, Cane work. The minute she meet the new youth counselor, Reed Austin, she feels an immediate draw to him. And I felt bad for her, because she may have been completely in love with Cane but she couldn't deny the heat, chemistry, sexual tension, whatever you want to call it with Reed. But when events outside her control conspire against her happiness with Cane, it's Reed that steps up to prove to Elle that she can trust men and more importantly him.

You’re really going to leave me hanging like that?!?! Seriously??? Absolutely loved this book, even though she left me hanging!!
I normally hate books with cliffhangers. But Breaking Elle had me so drawn in, that I knew it was going to end a certain way, however, I didn’t realize it would be such a cliffhanger!!!
Elle has 3 – yes, 3 guys who are absolutely in love with her. One has been her best friend for over 10+years, the other has been her boyfriend for over 2 years and the 3rd just recently entered her life.
What does a girl do when she feels love for each man in a different way?? She knows that one is off limits because she is already in a relationship. The other is her best friend and she doesn’t want to ruin things. And the other – well, he has her. But what happens when one of them makes a stupid mistake and changes all their lives??

I got hooked on reading the sample at the beginning. The flow of the story was easy enough to get you interested or invested into the characters. Elle meets Reed while in a relationship with someone else. But they feel this immediate attraction for one another. Elle's boyfriend messes up and she dumps him. Reed snatches up the chance to be with her. Then it's Elle and Reed... Then Reed messes up and now it's Elle and Tyler her best friend. But she is not happy because her life is a mess. The craziness in this book is off the charts and Elle will get on your nerves but you get so involved in the story you have to see what will happen next. It's Elle + Cane no wait it's Elle + Reed no wait it's Elle + Tyler no wait it's Reed again maybe??? Will Reed get his $&@# together to win back Elle? You don't know, well that is why their is a cliffhanger to have you buy the next book to see! Guess what I'm buying it to find out!

OMG! Love this book! I love how the story started. The concept and the flow of the story is also good that you can easily understand and follow the story. Ms. Antoinette really did a great job in this book.
About the story, I love how the story was all about. The characters, well I love how the characters were being described and their personalities. The character that really captured my attention was Reed, haha!! I love how he was being described and I love the way he acts towards Elle. Every Reed's POV, I'm having a moment.. lol.. As the story comes to an end, the turns of the events was exciting. I can't wait what will happen next to Reed and Elle's story and I hope there would be a 2nd book.

Cliffhangers are killin' me!!!! This was a serious love square. I wish Elle would have just taken time for herself ~ you don't need a man to be happy girl! I don't like where I felt this ending was headed, I am seriously hoping that she does not end up with Tyler but something tells me she is ready to play it safe. Now we know that Reed will be coming back (next book) so I would hate to see that friendship ruined because she could not take time to be alone. I am "Team Reed" for this one, I believe that he truly loves her and he should have told her his 'secrets' before he left, but then again she had 'secrets' of her own she didn't share.

Yes there are editing errors. Yes there is a thick fog of questions with few answers in sight. Lots of emotions and even more love angst angles than a geometry book. I am right there wishing things were better for Tyler, but I am wishing good things for Reed and Elle. As for Cane and Tyler trying too hard to reclaim Elle and her affection, yeah. Dirty pool.

I must start off saying that the whole time I was reading this I was wishing I was Elle. I have a hard enough time getting 1 guy, this chick has 3 falling all over her!!! And, when I say 3 guys, I mean 3 fine, sexy guys!! You have Cane her boyfriend of 2 years. Tyler her best friend since they were young. And, finally Reed. The new guy from Texas. Who literally has "bad boy" written all over him.
We start off with Elle having a girls night out. She bumps into the sexy Reed and is instantly taken by him. But, the fact that she's with Cane she really doesn't pay much attention to it. The same goes for him. He's instantly like WOW!!! But, that's it. Or so they thought.
The next day Elle goes to work to see the guy with the deep blue eyes hanging out with her boyfriend Cane. She's instantly hot & flustered and really does not know why. Then, he opens his mouth. The southern accent comes out and she's even more flustered.
Reed was having a great day so far. He was out of the house early. Got his roommate to kick out his one night stand. Then, he's at work at there she is. The beautiful girl from the bar the night before. And, he couldn't be happier. Until he realized his new friend Cane is her boyfriend.
Over the next couple weeks Elle and Reed try to fight back these feelings they're having for each other. Elle is doing her best to not let Cane see her acting weird whenever Reed's around. Esp, since they are doing so good. Elle has her walls very far up . 1st her parent's get divorced and her dad moves on with his life. Then, she starts dating Cane and he cheats on her with his ex-girlfriend. Now, Cane is talking about wanting to move in with Elle. They really are cute together. Even though every time she turns around her thought's are on Reed. She wonders what his touch and his kiss would feel like. Plus, she's got Tyler who's waiting. Waiting for his turn. His shot to finally tell her he's madly in love with her. And, that he'd treat her like the princess she is to him. In her eyes her life is good!
Then, everything changes. Elle gets stuck going out with the girls. She runs into Tyler and Reed. While on the dance floor a total stranger gets a little handsy. Reed and Tyler come to her rescue. Then, her friend pulls her aside with bad news. There he is...Cane....Making out with his ex-girlfriend!!!! She's absolutely devastated. Ella can not believe he's done this AGAIN!! Reed on the other hand. He's livid at Cane for hurting Elle. But, on the other hand he's excited. He wants to be the one to put the pieces of her heart back together.
Elle & Reed jump in feet 1st without looking back. I really, really loved their chemistry together. Even though he's a bad boy, goes thru 1 night stands on a regular basis. When it comes to Elle. He's the perfect guy. He treats her like a princess.No matter what she tries he won't just jump into bed with her. Which for him is a complete 180. He wants to prove to her that everything she thinks is him, isn't. For Elle she's never connected with anyone the way she has with Reed. She can not for the life of it figure out what it is about Reed that makes her feel the way she feels. And, poor Tyler. Just when he thought he was finally getting his shot at love. He gets put back on the shelf. Again!!!
Over the course of the next few weeks a lot of thing's happen. BOTH Reed and Elle have a bunch of secrets in their personal lives that either one is ready is tell the other one. Tyler is trying his hardest to win over Elle's heart. Don't forget Cane either. He's def not out of the picture either. He hates what he's done to Elle. He's trying his hardest to get her forgiveness.
I really can't and won't give much of the story away. But, I will tell you that both Elle and Reed's secrets are BIG. Some worse then the other ones. But, are they that big that they can get over and move on. For me, I really did love this story & all the characters in this story. My BIGGEST pet peeve was the HUGE cliffhanger!!! OMG!!! I literally thought my nook didn't download the whole book. I've read books with cliffhangers. But, not this bad. I'm waiting to see how their story continues. Other then that I loved this book!

This is the debut novel by the amazing and oh so talented Antoinette Candela. Let me just start by saying how amazing of a story this was! A novel that is so poignant and intense that it will suck you right in and not let go of you until the last page, at which time you will be left saying OMG I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS, so some friendly advice, have WANTING REED on standby!
Do you like angst? CHECK .. Love triangles ( well more of a love square if you ask me )? CHECK .. Dual POV'S? CHECK .. Hot men galore? CHECK .. do you see the pattern? This book has all the checks needed to make it the perfect novel!
I love reading a book that has dual POV'S sometimes however in the way that it is presented, makes me lose the gist of the story and become distracted by it. NOT IN THIS CASE however! The author did it in such a stunning way that you felt like you were in the heads of Elle and Reed looking at the world thru their eyes and that for me is what makes a great book into an astounding one. The emotional connection you feel towards them will make your heart break, soar and have you shaking your head at times.
The story centers around the beautiful but emotionally damaged Elle and her quest at finding peace, serenity, love and herself despite being so broken and fearful of relationships and men in general due to her home life.The author did such an amazing job at showing us that sometimes what happens around us in our sacred home environment can have a tremendous impact on our lives. Like that saying " seeing is believing " is what happens to Elle. Seeing and living thru divorce and the unintended neglect of parents can be just as damaging as any another other type of neglect to a young person. Well I am no psychiatrist so I will not dwell on this for too long but I wanted to give you an idea.
The way that she sees her mom approaching life in general is what makes her become so emotionally closed off. The way her mom handled the divorce with her father and now with the crumbling of her present marriage to the way she is "present" as a parental figure but not really involved with the lives of Elle and her brother Jace all contribute to Elle's fear and wariness At times it was hard watching Elle trying to figure out how to make the best of what life throws at her but the way she handled it was one of the best parts of reading this novel.
Well this little lady is one lucky girl she has not ONE not TWO wait for it .... THREE swoon worthy sexy men all vying for her affection while little ole me can't even get one who isn't a psycho but who am I to judge . She was so well written and endearing that I couldn't be mad at her. The men in her life all have their own individual faults and issues but who doesn't right, the journey for Elle is finding, which one is the better guy for her and who will be the one she learns to flourish with.
CANE ... Her boyfriend of two years who is there for her and the only man she has allowed to get inside her walls?
TYLER ... Her best friend of 14 years, baseball god and her rock?
REED ... and last but certainly not least the new guy in town ubur player and bad boy with a past and set of demons of his own?
Which one will break her heart?, Which one will catch her when she falls?, Which one will pick up the pieces and put her back together? When she finally does achieve the all the things she wanted is the rug ripped out from under her? Will we ever get the answers? READ it and find out how it all turns out! I am telling you the journey that they will take you on will be worth it in the end!
I could not put this book down and was delighted by it at every turn of the electronic page. I just HAD to find out all the answers to the questions swirling in my mind ( and there were a couple let me tell you ) 'How & what was Elle going to do?' ' Would she stay with Cane? ' ' Would she be with Reed and finally find the happiness and security she was searching for?' ' Would she finally put Tyler out of his misery and chose him?'

Do you like angst? CHECK .. Love triangles ( well more of a love square if you ask me )? CHECK .. Dual POV'S? CHECK .. Hot men galore? CHECK .. do you see the pattern? This book has all the checks needed to make it the perfect novel!
I love reading a book that has dual POV'S sometimes however in the way that it is presented, makes me lose the gist of the story and become distracted by it. NOT IN THIS CASE however! The author did it in such a stunning way that you felt like you were in the heads of Elle and Reed looking at the world thru their eyes and that for me is what makes a great book into an astounding one. The emotional connection you feel towards them will make your heart break, soar and have you shaking your head at times.
The story centers around the beautiful but emotionally damaged Elle and her quest at finding peace, serenity, love and herself despite being so broken and fearful of relationships and men in general due to her home life.The author did such an amazing job at showing us that sometimes what happens around us in our sacred home environment can have a tremendous impact on our lives. Like that saying " seeing is believing " is what happens to Elle. Seeing and living thru divorce and the unintended neglect of parents can be just as damaging as any another other type of neglect to a young person. Well I am no psychiatrist so I will not dwell on this for too long but I wanted to give you an idea.
The way that she sees her mom approaching life in general is what makes her become so emotionally closed off. The way her mom handled the divorce with her father and now with the crumbling of her present marriage to the way she is "present" as a parental figure but not really involved with the lives of Elle and her brother Jace all contribute to Elle's fear and wariness At times it was hard watching Elle trying to figure out how to make the best of what life throws at her but the way she handled it was one of the best parts of reading this novel.
Well this little lady is one lucky girl she has not ONE not TWO wait for it .... THREE swoon worthy sexy men all vying for her affection while little ole me can't even get one who isn't a psycho but who am I to judge . She was so well written and endearing that I couldn't be mad at her. The men in her life all have their own individual faults and issues but who doesn't right, the journey for Elle is finding, which one is the better guy for her and who will be the one she learns to flourish with.
CANE ... Her boyfriend of two years who is there for her and the only man she has allowed to get inside her walls?
TYLER ... Her best friend of 14 years, baseball god and her rock?
REED ... and last but certainly not least the new guy in town ubur player and bad boy with a past and set of demons of his own?
Which one will break her heart?, Which one will catch her when she falls?, Which one will pick up the pieces and put her back together? When she finally does achieve the all the things she wanted is the rug ripped out from under her? Will we ever get the answers? READ it and find out how it all turns out! I am telling you the journey that they will take you on will be worth it in the end!
I could not put this book down and was delighted by it at every turn of the electronic page. I just HAD to find out all the answers to the questions swirling in my mind ( and there were a couple let me tell you ) 'How & what was Elle going to do?' ' Would she stay with Cane? ' ' Would she be with Reed and finally find the happiness and security she was searching for?' ' Would she finally put Tyler out of his misery and chose him?'

I just finished Breaking Ellie last night and after a good night’s sleep I feel like I am able to give an honest review. There are things I liked and disliked but first let’s get to what the story is about.
Characters:
Ellie is a 22 year old girl and is still living at home with her mother and stepfather, and is very sweet, kind and is dating Cane.
Cane has been with her for a couple of years, they had a rough spot that they had to work through but all in all, has been a good relationship for the both of them. I really liked Cane too. He loves her and has been there for her and vise versa.
Reed is from Texas and has moved to Boston to gets some things under control in his life. He is at a club when he literally runs into Ellie. Sparks fly from the both of them. Ellie is intrigued by him but is in a relationship with Cane and doesn’t want to jeopardize that so she lets it go. Reed on the other hand, doesn’t care that she is in a relationship and wants her no matter if she is with someone or not.
Tyler is her best friend. He has a thing for her, and always has. She doesn’t want to ruin her relationship with him so she doesn’t cross the line. He is funny, smart and very sexy.
I honestly do not know who I would choose.
While Cane and Ellie are at work (they basically all work together), Cane introduces her to the “new guy” which happens to be Reed. Ellie is completely smitten and doesn’t understand why she is feeling this way towards Reed when she loves Cane. At this point in my mind I was thinking, crap she is going to cheat on Cane with Reed causing all sorts of drama.
I honestly was going to stop reading it. Im a glad I stuck with it. I never saw it coming, Cane is the one that cheats on with an ex (the rough spot in their relationship when they first got together too!) which leaves open a spot for Reed. I had been wondering how the author was going to play that in.
I did feel sorry for Ellie, having to go through that again. Cane, I felt sorry for him too. He is genuinely a nice guy and didn’t mean to do that to her, but he did cheat so that put him out of the running for me!
Now to the Likes!
I liked the relationship with Ellie and Reed. I liked how they took their time with each other creating a good friendship before things progressed into something more.
I really liked the style of writing from the author. I was so used to she did this and he did that, it is refreshing to have it in first person. A plus for me is it is in both point of views. I just like the feel of this so you can see how they both are feeling. I think she handled it very well with keeping up with this.
Now to the Dislikes!
Im a one man kinda girl and when it comes to cheating, that is a dead-end for me. To me, once a cheater always a cheater so I didn’t like that when Ellie and Reed are in this new relationship, they both end up cheating. WTF. I just didn’t understand why that was done. I just feel like that was thrown out of left field for me. I just didn’t think it was needed in the story. I thought it was progressing very well they way that it was.
I also can understand cliffhangers; you want to keep people interested. Most authors are doing this nowadays that it is expected and you can usually tell that this is going to happen. However I was not expecting it in this one. It was given to me for an honest review that I didn’t even read a synopsis so I had no clue that it was going to have one.
At certain points I felt like it was rushed and certain things at the end just got out of hand for me. I was just expecting something else and was kinda disappointed that it was not going my way! I know, I know, my issue not the author!
After talking with a good friend about it, I decided to sleep on it to get my thoughts together. I wanted to clear my head and not use my emotions in the heat of the moment type of deal because at the end of the day it was still a good read.
I can say that the author did get me hooked.
I cannot wait for the next installment to see what happens
I give 4 stars for the story!

Reed is the sexy Texan who moves to town. Sexy and sweet - and trouble with a capital T.
Their lives all intersect due to working together.
Elle has trust issues - and for good reason. Reed has a troubled past he is trying to keep exactly there, in the past.
Breaking Elle is written from both Elle and Reed's point of view, both written well so you can easily distinguish who's POV you are reading at the time.
The sparks between Elle and Reed are instant and undeniable.
"I've never been good at games." I reply softy. I can't pull my eyes away from his achingly perfect face.
"I can start off slow." His voice is husky and enticing. Leaning in closer his eyes search mine, gauging my reaction. He reaches down and strokes my cheek, and the way my body responds to his touch is just... indescribable. “I’m jealous of your pillow and sheets; I want this cheek to rest on mine and I want to keep this body warm,” he whispers, his lips right above mine.
My heartbeat spikes and I close my eyes. I inhale, soaking all of him in: his scent, his image, his words. I try to fight the urge to touch him, to fight the fact that I want him to touch me. It’s so painful, my senses are screaming for him. Opening my eyes, I don't move, waiting, knowing from the look in his eyes that he wants the same thing. But he stops and retreats. He smiles flirtatiously and lifts one perfect eyebrow. I'm breathless and my head’s spinning with the thought of being so close to tasting him.
"Let's go and join the party," he says. Taking my hand, he turns to the entryway, but when he sees that I'm not moving, he looks over his shoulder. “What’s wrong?" He asks playfully. "You look disappointed. Were you expecting something?” He smiles crookedly, his eyes warm and intense.
“No. Nothing.” I blink, inhaling a deep breath, catching myself before I say or do something I'll regret.
Meanwhile, Tyler is waiting in the sidelines, has been friend-zoned for years, but he is biding his time to make his move.
There was a stretch in the first half of the book that kind of dragged for me, so much that I was going to put it aside and read something else, but then things really picked up.
Reed's past is a mystery for most of the book, but when it comes to the front, wow!
Elle is a pretty confused girl. It kind of bothered me that she is no sooner broken up with Cane, and she is in a relationship with Reed. She doesn't hear from Reed for a few days and she moves on to Tyler. I think she needs to find out who she is before she gets into a relationship with anyone (of course I think this relationship HAS to be with Reed). Just stay single for 5 minutes Elle!!
I found Breaking Elle to be well written, even if a couple of things felt a bit rushed over. Hopefully these will be addressed in the next book. I hope it is not too long before the next book, because

The book had a very sudden end. Seriously. It all is happening and.. the end!

Breaking Elle is not a love triangle but I full blown love to the power of square. Elle is a 22 years old young woman at 5’7 ft. with killer legs, thick wavy brown hair that falls to the middle of her back, and has almond shape hazel eyes. Elle is finishing her degree in Biology and is in the process of applying to medical schools possibly in Florida, but currently she is a counselor and shift supervisor for the youth program at Pierce Sports Center.
Elle has her hands full in her personal life too, because there is Cane - her boyfriend, Tyler - her best friend, and Reed – her admirer. Cane is 6 ft. tall with a lean muscular build and has shabby blonde hair. Elle is dating Cane for two years and is ready for the next step in their relationship, until she discovers he has made yet another mistake and breaks her heart. This book has been on TBR for moths now and I finally got the chance to read it, and to say it was worth the wait doesn't seem to cover all the things that happened in this book.
Elle Bennett, how should I describe this girl? Broken, but trying to make her family history not repeat itself? Sad, but trying to make her current relationship work? I don't know. Elle is a beautiful girl that every man takes notice to, but she isn't looking for anything at the moment because she's been with her boyfriend Cane for two years. Elle's family has been through a great deal of heart ache so I can fully understand her resistance at wanting and moving forward with her relationship with Cane, but at the same time she's trying not to let what her parents went through bring her down. I was proud of her for being honest with herself and knowing that just because it happened to her mom doesn't mean she has to be the same. But, when her world falls apart the one person she has uncontrollable urge to want to be around is there for her.
Reed Austin is typical playboy who is in Boston for the Summer. He has secrets that are so far out of reach that I was just hanging on page by page waiting to see what they were. He has wanted Elle ever since he saw he at the bar and even though she has a boyfriend he can't get his mind off of her. When Elle goes through heartbreak he makes sure he's in the position to make sure he actually has a chance to be with her. Even though there are some things that are just waiting to break them apart.
Elle and Reed take their relationship quickly after the first interaction, but OH SO SEXY times that I wanted to read forever. Elle's best friend Tyler, is also a main character, and by the looks of it he's not backing down. He wants Elle and is just waiting for her to want him back. I can't necessarily say that I would even want them together, not because I love Reed, but because after Elle repeatedly said she didn't think of him like that it would just feel to forced on her part, and they have a friendship that should last not be tainted.
By the end of this book my head was spinning, my heart was breaking, and I was soooo mad at, who? I didn't really know who to blame. Signals were mixed, messages were wrongly received, and people were left doing stupid shit that would changes their lives. Antoinette did an amazing job on this book and I cannot wait for the sequel, YES if you didn't read that right, there is soo much more to come out of Elle and Reed's story, and I for one can only hope that Elle doesn't mess this up.

This is a wonderful debut novel for author Antoinette Candela. I love a book with angst, and this definitely delivered. As a bonus, we have not 1, not 2, but 3 major hotties. Elle is a girl with a past that has damaged her. As a result she has a really tough time trusting and letting guys in.
The first hottie we meet is Tyler, Elle’s best friend. I have to be honest, here, I REALLY feel for him. He is actually my favorite guy in the story. He’s sweet, sensitive, protective, and ALWAYS there for Elle. But unfortunately for him, he always seems to be waiting in the wings for his chance to “get the girl.” So many times throughout the book I just wanted to yell at her to pursue a relationship with him. I hope that they either end up together or he finally lets her go.
Next, we meet Cane, Elle’s current boyfriend. He’s another hunk of yummy. Like Tyler, he’s sweet and sensitive. He is the only guy that she’s actually let in. (Tyler doesn’t count because they grew up together.) Cane everything she thought she would never find. That is until we get a big dumb ass moment from him. I just wanted to jump in the book and slap him.
Last but not least is Reed. Elle and Reed have an undeniable chemistry and pull towards each other. They don’t know what it is, but they just can’t ignore it. He has all the qualities that Cain and Tyler have, but throw in some mystery and you’ve got a hell of a package. Come on, who doesn’t love a guy with a damaged past? I know I do. As Elle and Reed begin a relationship with each other, his past comes back with a vengeance to try to tear them apart.
The author takes us through a journey of Elle’s self-discovery as she navigates through her relationships with the three guys. Who will Elle end up with? Will she finally break out of her shell, follow her heart, and find the happiness that she deserves? At the end of the book, my heart seemed to stop for a second. I totally had an O.M.G. moment. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 2!
This is a wonderful debut novel for author Antoinette Candela. I love a book with angst, and this definitely delivered. As a bonus, we have not 1, not 2, but 3 major hotties. Elle is a girl with a past that has damaged her. As a result she has a really tough time trusting and letting guys in.
The first hottie we meet is Tyler, Elle’s best friend. I have to be honest, here, I REALLY feel for him. He is actually my favorite guy in the story. He’s sweet, sensitive, protective, and ALWAYS there for Elle. But unfortunately for him, he always seems to be waiting in the wings for his chance to “get the girl.” So many times throughout the book I just wanted to yell at her to pursue a relationship with him. I hope that they either end up together or he finally lets her go.

3.5 STARS
Let me start by saying I enjoyed almost everything about Breaking Elle. This book focuses on Elle and her relationships with Cane, Tyler, and Reed. Elle is dealing with her own trust and family issues along with figuring out what she wants from a relationship. I love a love triangle, but three guys had me for a loop (I favor Tyler and Reed)....I'm very relieved she pushed Cane away after he betrayed her again. In the beginning of the book, there was a lot of information to absorb....and throughout the book you meet A LOT of characters. Towards the middle of the book I was infatuated with the Reed and Elle relationship (even knowing he was hiding a secret...though I do believe it was to protect her from it). Also, it was a cliffhanger book and I have a hard time with them unless the next book is out...because I want to know what happens and who she will ultimately choose once all the facts are told to her. The book was well written while the characters stayed consistent The author made it easy to relate to them and all their fears, family issues, and relationship problems.
One of my favorite lines from the book is towards the end (when Elle was worried about Reed, was over Cane, but being comforted by Tyler): "Something happens to your heart when you find out how much someone loves you even without ever having the words whispered in you ear or reading the words scribbled on paper. You see it in their eyes. You feel the weightlessness in your heart, an extraordinary sensation of falling deeply, but knowing and trusting that in the end they will catch you."
That was powerful! (And got me a little teary)
And I hope the second book is soon to come so my book hangover goes away!!

Elle has a boyfriend she adores, a hot best friend who has feelings for her that are more than friendship, and there is a new guy in town who has her feeling things she hasn't felt before. Reed has just moved to Boston to escape some trouble from his past. He never excepted to meet a woman who he comes to need more than he's needed anyone before.
There are definitely some steamy moments in Elle's relationships. It could easily make a girl jealous that she has so many options when it comes to hot guys who want to pleasure and protect her. I got frustrated at times by her inability to spend more than a very small amount of time alone. She faces various betrayals and challenges, but seems to rely on another one of the men in her life almost immediately when different one has screwed up.
Reed is a complex character, and suffers the fate of many characters past who don't tell people things in the name of "protecting them". This is one of those situations where I really didn't understand why he was keeping all the secrets he was. It seemed pretty clear to me that keeping all of his information hidden would only lead to him hurting himself and others. Despite there being some pretty good choices in this book, and Reed having the complex issues that he does- I'm still rooting for him. It feels like if he could just get his life on track and deal with the mistakes of his past, he would be great.
The dialogue feels a little repetitive at times, but overall the story engaged me enough to have an opinion about what I wanted to happen with the characters. I will be reading the next book in the series to see how things turn out.
