Salem and Alexis have regained their mortality, but at a grave cost. Disregarding Hannah’s warning of a dark and terrible future, the now human couple is wed. Planned celebrations are cut short when Desmond gives his daughter and new son-in-law the opportunity for a relaxing honeymoon, with one catch.
Now Alexis and Salem must travel to Romania to meet a mysterious man who is offering an irresistible opportunity. Every opportunity has a cost, however, and some are too high to bear. Will Alexis be willing to risk all in order to get what she has always wanted?
For better or worse, one thing is certain—Alexis will come face-to-face with her destiny.
K.A. Poe's books aim to remedy the limp, helpless heroine that plagues many paranormal and urban fantasy novels by introducing strong, kick-ass female leads. Combining suspense and adventure with non-explicit romance, her Nevermore and Forevermore series have enticed hundreds of thousands of readers. From vampires to witches and werewolves, you will find what hundreds of five-star reviews confirm - once you join the adventure, you'll never want to stop.
She resides in Indiana with her husband and daughter. Accompanying the trio is K.A. Poe's writing assistant Aries (who happens to be a cat and doesn't do much in the way of assisting or writing, unless you consider sleeping on the keyboard helpful... ) and their two other furry companions - Lyra and Gemini.
this book by far exceeded my expectations! I was left heartbroken by the ending though :( I would very much like for the series to continue and give alex her happy ending :D
I have wasted HOURS of time on this series. poor writing skills does not even adequately sum up the description of these books. Why did I continue reading, you ask? I thought some of the plot twists had so much promise.... But I was wrong. Oh. So. Wrong. The only way I could feel better about the mistake of reading this Train Wreck was if I found it had been written by a twelve year old. then I could pretend I was supporting the dreams of a child to become a talented writer some day......
Salem died to soon, Allexis ends up in the crazy house and this guy that has mooning over her raises her daughter. How is she suppose to make sure that their son doesn't grow up to be a monster if she can't be an adult and take care of her own children and Salem should have been able to be with her and together they could have looked for their son to try to prevent the prediction of the future but nooo you had to kill Salem off. Hearbroken, Allexis and Salem were suppose to be tight not what happened, Allexis turned into a selfish bitch that didn't listen to anything Salem had to say and was short and rude to him. I have this story 5 stars because it was very moving but I still would have seen Salem live a little longer
I dont even know what to say. The beginning almost half was really boring than it started getting good than I was just shocked by the last two or three chapters and now I just don't know what to say or think. Book as a whole, 3 stars.
Spoiler advisory: Book ending, 4 stars. I mean it wasn't a good ending (good vs bad / not bad as in sucky), and not what I was expecting, but it was different and I appreciate that. It caught me so off guard because I had a few visions of the ending and none of those were it.
