LeanRx: Results May Vary

Rate this book
"LeanRx: Results May Vary" is a horrific and darkly satirical look into the United States' consumerism, greed, and political fairness vs. incorrectness through the eyes of a physically handicapped, homebound man during an outbreak of a once get-thin-fast super drug which turned into appetite boosting super virus. In a world where people are afraid of calling things as what they are in fear of being called politically unfair, can anyone survive the infectious disease causing famine, riots, theft, murder--even cannibalism?

I always knew I wanted to be a storyteller, I just never really knew it would be writing novels until I discovered that filmmaking was way too expensive to interpret stories in my head on the big screen. I still do make films (I write, produce, and act); you can find them at www.youtube.com/striketoburn1, and in the next few months you'll be able to watch my biggest project ever: "Resident Evil: Red Falls" (a non-profit fan film, so don't forget to subscribe).

Currently I've got two short stories on Amazon; they're both satirical, politically cynical horror stories--one is a take of the zombie genre (LeanRx: Results May Vary), the other is a twist on the demon genre (Lucifer's Tongue). Please check them out. They're only $0.99.

My true passion is writing long novels. This summer I'm planning on releasing a 300,000 word post-apocalyptic novel with western and horror elements called "Wormwood" into six parts as an eBook.

Apart from that I'm spending most of my time on preparing a novel called "The House near the Mountains" for CreateSpace's Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award contest.

Wish me luck.

On 11/15/2014, Jennifer Granger was looking for food in Tom’s garbage can. She weighs well over 300 lbs. Marge is Tom’s wife. Surprise there is no food I don’t waste any. CNN news headline Praders (Prader-Willie Syndrome) on the loose. Victim of the LeanRx strain.

Cool book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written off the wall, whacky short story (book). It was very easy to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. No grammar errors, repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios & a great set of unique characters. You have to read it to the end. No doubt in my mind a very easy rating of 5 stars for this short story (book).
Thank you for the free short story (book)

It was an amazing read, weird but amazing. I liked the whole zombie style but not zombies, kinda Shawn of the dead type. The Cliffhanger was a little disappointing, but i liked the cliffhanger as well kinda gave it the whole whats gonna happen next. Thanks Jordan

A well-crafted short story. I'd like to see this as a novella. It could easily be fleshed out (no pun intended) and expanded to give us a better glimpse of the events around the onset of the Lean Rx disaster.

It could have used a tad more editing, but this was an interesting short story, and the Praders were pretty creepy to visualize.
