Hated is the third and final book in the Rock Star Trilogy.

Everything in my life is perfect. I have a family. My music is now going my way. And I have Stephan ... Forever ... All my dreams are coming true. But the problem with perfection is that eventually everything falls apart. And my whole life is crumbling around me ... piece by piece.

I am just trying to get through the next few months with my sanity intact, but that seems like an impossible feat. I’m back in LA, and this time I’m not alone. Between finding time for my new husband, my mother-in-law that hates me, and putting up with Alec and Bridgett’s bickering, I’m not sure how much more I can take … And then Mona shows up ... I am in over my head.

I thought I knew the truth about everything, but I was wrong. Secrets that weren’t supposed to come out are now being discovered. Secrets about my biological father ...
Even Bridgett is keeping a secret ... Something big ... I have to know what, even if it means running away again.

I tried for normal ... now I know that there is nothing normal about being a rock star ...

Is it just me or was anyone REALLY pissed off when you didn't get to know the endings of the other MAJOR supporting characters in this series???

I loved the ending for Scarlett and Stephen and everything but I wanted to know who Bridgett married!!!! And who she's having a THIRD child with ... and Ethan!! I want to know his story too and there's also Mona, can't forget about her.

Urg!

I NEED TO KNOW ABOUT ALEC AND BRIDGETT!!! LIKE NOW!!!!

I loved all three books but with so many characters I felt like the ending could of gave more of who eachother ended up with. Like ethan and his wife(who is it), and Bridget being pregnant and saying I wish he was here(was it Alec, is he dead?) I just feel like there needs to be a book for Bridget and Alec, and so on.. Or was that just me feeling like that? I dont feel like the series is over...

I REALLY liked the first book, liked the second and even liked the third. But from the first to the last the errors, grammar and muck ups just keep getting more worse. By the end of this book I was so frustrated and angry. The entire story line of the three books is good, this book was good with the story line too and all the drama that happens. Yet, it got less and less believable and started to make less and less sense. Like Why did there father say Stacy was on drugs but Stacy said it was because she got pregnant? and no one ever confronts the father? Or no one asks Stacy? Lots of stories change and don't add up in the last book and this one. In the last she said they were spending two months in Europe and the next day they were back in Hope..
I think this author should of invested in a beta reader or something. Or maybe read their books a time or two more. There were minor things in book 1 and 2 that I over looked but mentioned in my review. It seems things didn't get much better with the third.
Also if it had episodes it is a show, not a documentary and later on they do call it a show and has seasons... I found myself very confused a good majority of this book... By the end of this book I'm royally annoyed and ticked...Many things that happen in this book aren't realistic at all like Stacy getting custody of Natalee..Ok and no one confronts the dad about all the new drama with Mary, Beverly, whoever she is...All the lies and etc? And the epilogue!!! WTF?...That leaves more questions than answers also...
So did Bridgett end up with Alec? What happened to Alec?
Who'd Ethan marry and what about Mona?
I was highly disappointed with this book. All in all the series is decent.I liked and appreciated how differen't the story was. But by the third one it was just too much. No disrespect, just being honest. I truly hope the author does some things differently in the future. I wish her good luck and I may even read more books from her in the future to see if my faith can be salvaged, haha.

Review coming September 5 at Gabic Reads as part of the Rockstar Trilogy Blog Tour.

Hated is the perfect ending to this series. All of the conflicts were resolved nicely and I fell in love with all the main characters again! Scarlett is still as bossy and fun as ever. She also thinks that her way is always right. But over the course of the book (and the series) she comes to see that she's not the only person that matters.

I love how we see relationships change in this book. Stephan and his sister start to mend ways. Bridgett's mother becomes this evil figure.Scarlett's relationship with her father is very unsteady, but it gets better towards the end of the book. Secrets are unveiled, but wrapped up nicely by the conclusion.

I love the epilogue. have you ever finished a book and wondered about what happened afterwards? How many kids did they have? What are their names? What are they doing in life? How has their life changed? Well, the epilogue of Hated answers all these questions. Mercy had a nice way of bringing in this epilogue that didn't make it seem like it was just extra fluff she needed to fulfill her word count.

Summary: Hated is an awesome ending to a awesome series by an awesome author. I can't wait to see what Mercy has in store for us next! :)

WOW! I never saw the twists and turns coming in this series, kittens. Mercy had me hooked to the very end. I have no desire to ruin this series by giving away spoilers. So, I am going to try my hardest not to do that.
I REALLY like Alec. I think he is the type of guy that when he finds the right woman, he is done for. I think Bridgett is the right amount of naughty and nice to make him happy. She just has to find herself. The secret that Bridgett is hiding? OMG. I was blindsided and more than a little surprised.
Stephan and Scarlett are an enigma. I find it unusual that something that starts out as a drunken mistake can morph into something with lasting potential. If only we all had the rock star luck! Take a chance on this trilogy. I think you will enjoy it as much as I did!

All that I have to say is amazing! I have loved this roller-coaster that Scarlett and her whole group of groupies has gone through.
I love that you follow Scar & Stephan through the first year of marriage. It's just amazing! There were times that I thought I could kill Alec and Bridge, but there were times that I actually laughed out loud. It's not very often that I do that in books.
Without giving too much away I will say that Mercy did an AMAZING job at closing out this series. You aren't really left wondering what happened to anyone. Loved it!! And as always you rocked my socks!! <3

5 star!!! Everyone needs to read it ;-)

I am sad that this story has come to an end but it was AMAZING! Scarlet and Stephan are so in love and soul mates that belong together. Scarlet had had a long journey to find her "Normal" & she's taken us on her journey of discovering herself and what's important in her life. The trilogy had a great cast of supporting characters and made this a great story!!

I'm giving this trilogy and this final book 5 Rockin Stars!!!

Warning: turn back if you have not yet read the first two books in the series. There will be likely be some spoilers for the first two books in my review.

“Stephan, we dated two months before we got married. I’m pretty sure everybody, including your mom, would freak out. I’m thinking we wait until this tour is over, and then we can tell everybody.”

Scarlett and Stephan’s warp-speed relationship continues in the third and final novel in the Rock Star trilogy. Hated begins “the morning after” in Vegas with a scolding by security, an argument about whether Scarlet will take Stephan’s last name, and an agreement to keep their marriage a secret for now. You can imagine how long that lasts. There’s just enough time for them to consummate the marriage and have a discussion about Scarlett’s career – the documentary, an upcoming tour for her and Alec and filming of a music video – before the news breaks. Cue fights with family and friends.

“Are you sure you don’t want to run?” I have to ask one last time.
He looks at me and shakes his head. “Nothing could ever make me run away from you. I love you.”

As has been the custom in these novels, more family secrets come out. This family has more secrets than those I’ve come across in any other book. Ever. These did take me by surprise and made for a nice twist. Er, twists. They were creative, if not entirely believable.

“I’m in love with Bridgett. And I know I said before that I was scared, and I know you think I will break her heart, but I won’t. She is the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. And if soul mates are real, I think Bridgett is mine.”

I adored Bridgett and Alec together from the beginning. I could see their pairing coming from a mile away, but I didn’t care. I wanted it to happen. Predictability isn’t always a bad thing. There was just enough “will they? won’t they?” to keep me from losing interest in them as a couple and I found they complemented each other nicely. They’re both insecure and unsure of what they want. Alec hides his insecurity behind his cocky rock star persona and ego. Bridgett is more up-front about hers. They just worked really well together, as frustrating as they were at times.

“Ethan is sweet. And he’s a great guy. But I want fireworks… no, not fireworks. I want f*cking TNT. I want an earth-shaking exploding to happen every time we kiss…” She smiles at her description. “I won’t settle for anything less.”

We were introduced to another side of Mona in this book. I knew there was more to her than met the eye. We also got more of Scarlett’s big sister, Stacy, and her niece, Anna. This book was like a big family reunion and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I liked the series of epilogues that ate up the next several years …. It was an interesting way to get full closure on the characters. I was happy with the way the series was wrapped up, minus one tiny thing I can’t specify because it’s way too spoilery. But, all in all, this trilogy made for a quick and entertaining read. I came to appreciate Scarlett as she was, faults and all. That’s a pretty big deal considering how much I disliked her in the beginning. Scarlett may have not gotten her “normal life,” but I’d say she did pretty well.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

From the start I was (pleasantly) surprised that I read all three books in this trilogy. It started from book one, which was free on ITunes. At the moment there are heaps of rock star themed contemparies and I really wanted to read one, naturally, I got the first one. I really wasn't planning on reading the second or third as I thought I would not be interested (Oh, but that ending!)

And so here I am now. Some parts in this book were a bit flat and boring but I still ended up finishing the book, so wasn't too bad. I also found I was less annoyed with Scarlett in this book as some of the language varied and she seemed more mature.

The epilogue was longer than I thought it would be so when I got to the last page (before the epilogue) I was like "hmmm, this sounds suspiciously like an ending..." but saw that there was still a significant amount of the book left and got confused. Usually, epilogues bore me. So I was a bit...unsure about if I was going to enjoy it. But instead, I loved the epilogue and how you got to see what ended up happening to everyone!

This series was just so good. I really enjoyed each book thoroughly. The characters in it, I just loved every single one of them. The way Mercy Amare wrote this book, I havent read any other of her books. But the way she wrote this series just kept me so interested.
It is a very YA book. Meaning it is all about teenagers. The covers are just so pretty. I loved hearing about a story of a rock goddess is how she put it. It was just a really good read for me. Alot of teens would really enjoy this book. Really this series. I cannot wait to read more of her books.
My favorite character of the series of course were the main ones. Because I like mushy gushy love stories. Thats just who I am. Scarlett and Stephen are my favorite. I absolutely loved their story. It wasnt EPIC love. Like some books I have read. But it was still a sweet love.
Then Bridgett and Alec. I didnt care for their ending because you never found out their ending. It was quite strange. It didnt say specifically who they married and their ending if there was an ending for them. Unless I missed something in the book. I dunno Overall I would give this probably a 4.5 stars because some was unanswered. I didnt like that. But other than that, the books were really good. I was happy throughout the series.

Hated, this book rocks! As the third book of the series this was my favorite, the events that happened will really rock your mind. I love how the events went.

About the story, I love that everything was what I expected and more. I'm loving all the characters more, especially Alec and Mona (I didn't see this one coming). lol! I love how the series/book ended, everything about it is REALLY GREAT and I'm HAPPY HOW THE STORY ENDED! It's so worth it and it exceeds my expectations.

This series is really worth to read! Ms. Mercy really did an excellent job in this book, it's funny, interesting at the same time inspiring!!

I just have one major question: Who did Bridgitte end up marrying and having kids with? Was it Alec? I may have skipped over a part where it established that little bit of information but I don't remember seeing it!

Also, what happened to Mona? I know she wasn't that big of a character in the book, but she did end up being Stephan's half-sister.

Other than that, I was very satisfied with the series.

The third book wraps up the main characters story nicely. All the other characters you grow to love just left out of the conclusion of the story
You haveno idea if alex and scarlettes sister get together. Mona is completely left.out. The ending did not conclude everyones story it just left you with more questions

This entire Trilogy was amazing. I can't believe it's over. I love the whole story not to mention I am such a sucker for a love story with very confident female lead. Seriously Scarlett was amazing. I wish I had half as much confidence as she has. Thank you, Mercy, for sharing this amazing story with us.

I really enjoyed reading this series. I loved how the author tied everything up in the end. I do have a couple of question. What happened to Alec? Who is Bridgett's children father? I hope there is another book.
