I accidentally started on the second book in the Cheryl Locke Holmes series by C.I. Exline. But, hey, now I can't wait to go back to the beginning and 'meet' the heroine, Cheryl, again.

This is a mystery so there's not a lot to share of the plot that won't be a spoiler.

But the book was delightful in a "Murder, She Wrote" tongue-in-cheek humor and suspenseful kind of way. Except this sexy sleuth is young and attractive.

I have to say that, as light and humorous as the book was, it took me by surprise with some clever twists and pulse-sprinting moments. Throw in a touch of luscious romance to the mix and you've got a delicious mystery with a catchy series title (LOVE the title, absolutely marvelous) and a pleasing, well put together plot.

Off to check out the rest of this series!
