Very hot read! The relationship between Sorth and Petar was touching. Mikkel was just what Sorth needed. Can't wait to see how Petar fares.

Sorth, the third book in JC Wells’ Matik Masters, brought a whole new level to this series. The biggest and baddest of the brothers, Sorth is responsible for training the pack’s battle wolves and has little desire to do anything else unless it’s falling into a convenient body for pleasure. The only other thing that he cares as much for is protecting his younger brother Petar. Mikkel is a member of the Belarus pack and has signed on to train to be a battle wolf. The first in the Belarus pack to take on the training, Sorth’s expectations are not high. Mikkel is La’el’s best friend and all Mikkel wants is to be near La’el, but when Sorth starts his training those feelings take a turn and suddenly he finds himself wanting the big wolf.

While this book seemed to go by much quicker than the first two I think it was because of the massive amount of information I was suddenly faced with. Learning so much about Petar kind of took precedent over Sorth and Mikkel’s story. They came together much quicker and without as much “drama” than the other mates did in Rayce and Enrick’s books. It was almost as if JC Wells was building up the story before Petar’s story and she certainly did a killer job of it! This book was also much more emotionally taxing than the first two in the series. Several times in the book my stomach dropped and my eyes actually might have gotten a little misty, but that could’ve just been something in my eye. *wink* I dare anyone to read this series and not find themselves completely consumed by the Masters. The end of this book is heart wrenching even with the HEA with Sorth and Mikkel. Trust me, you will want to have Petar’s book immediately available as you finish Sorth!

I liked this book best of all four; the author started telling more of a story, rather than just introducing characters and then jumping into sex. I liked both MCs and the dynamics-it was a good set up and execution. I felt like Petar was an unnecessary accessory to the story, but understood his need after what had happened to him in his childhood. I liked Sorth being possessive and Mikkel’s answering desire to be possessed. Also liked getting a bit more HEA of the other couples, that was lovely to read about as well. Solid entry, best of the series, in my opinion!
