She thought she could keep it a secret.

Just fourteen years old, Amalie thought she could take off and go to the festival with her best friend without anyone knowing it - without her parents finding out. But when she opened her eyes and found herself in the man's basement, she knew she wasn't safe anymore.

She was trapped.

Another edge of the seat experience.
Rebekka Frank is someone that never gives up. I think that's why I love her so much. Her strength and inner power is admirable.
This story, the plot is super exciting. Royalty is involved, which adds a nice twist to the already gripping story.
I have the next book in the series and can't wait to read it.
Thriller/Mystery/Horror fans, you really need this series in your life... You just might not know it until now.

This 4th installment of the series was filled with suspense as two teenage girls who were to attend a sleepover, instead went to an all weekend outdoor concert. The girls were both kidnapped and Rebekka became involved after meeting one of the girls and was also kidnapped. Story was page turning as the kidnapper was quite unstable and had special gruesome plans for the girls. Background information given explained why this crime took place. While the story ended on a good note, the next part of the series will give more detail concerning Rebekka's involvement.

I give this 3.5 stars.

Hmmmm ...... how to rate this one??? Well written with a great chilling premise however I felt let down by the ending which deflated with a fftttffttt, like a whoopee cushion.
Excellent thrilling pacing, you could sense Rebekka's anxiety at trying to find the abducted girls and the ingenuity of the serial killer was surprising. I'm pretty close to converting to vegetarianism after reading this though.
As I said the ending did fall flat and felt rushed, and the surprise to be revealed in the follow on novel I've pretty much guessed and found it to be more than a bit obvious. Apart from that, an entertaining read.

More intense an twisted then previous books in the series, this book was hard to put down. Editing was better than previous books as well. Very anxious to start the next one!

I'll never eat Foie Gras again.

This book delivers the goods abductions, cannibalism and secret government genetic experiments. The villain is creepy and the heroine feisty and believable. I'd take a pass on the French food before you sit to read this novel.

Willow Rose’s fourth book in the Rebekka Franck series Seven, Eight … Gonne Stay Up Late adds another dimension to the mystery of where Rebekka Frank’s life is going. At the end of book three, Five, Six …Grab Your Crucifix, at a point just prior to the Epilogue, there was an event happened that was almost an aside to the story. Rebekka answered a knock on the door to find Peter, ex-husband, but someone Rebekka could still be attracted to if Peter could get over war-imposed trauma. Daughter Julie also wanted her dad back. Rebekka’s dad even liked Peter. This made for an awkward situation as Rebekka was sleeping with, and thought she was in love with, Sune, her photographer colleague. Even though I ignore and gloss over romantic contexts that appear in novels of killing, horror, and mayhem, I wanted to see how this would work out.

I expected to see this cliffhanger immediately addressed. That didn’t happen. Not a spoiler, but we don’t see or hear much about Peter until around Chapter 30. Even then, we read very little of him. That’s OK because the reader is busy trying to figure out the ultimate fates of Amalie and Camilla, a pair of teenage rich girls who got more excitement than they bargained for when they sneaked away from their parents and went to a concert. The two were from the rich and pampered set in society. Amalie was even royalty, a real princess. Both were willing to experiment as they attempted to be one with the people. Amalie accepted some of the pills a handsome stranger offered her and woke up later in a container resembling a coffin. Friend Camilla searched for her and even enlisted the help of Rebekka Franck, a journalist on assignment covering the concert. As they searched through the crowd of concertgoers, Camilla saw a handsome stranger holding a phone cover belonging to Amalie. After a brief encounter, Camilla woke up in a container resembling a coffin. Allan, the abductor and would-be artist, had seen Rebekka talking to Camille. Soon Rebekka would end up in a container resembling a coffin.

To understate, Allan was weird. He had managed to join a group that valued the experience of killing. Members exchanged pictures and evidence of their successful kills. There was a leader who the rank and file killers looked up to. Members could suggest killer scenarios to each other, but the leader could order specific kills. The leader had placed an order with Allan. Killing, torture, and maiming were a form of art as far as Allan was concerned. He thought of his killings as artistic masterpieces. He was also a gourmet cook. Many of his live models served a more gastronomic experience after their demise. Allan had kidnapped Camilla and Amalie on order and would prepare them as packages for delivery to the leader. He would deliver them to the leader at a time of his, Allan’s choosing. The leader was not pleased; he wanted them earlier and the leader had issued an order for an additional live package, Rebekka Franck.

Will the leader get his wish? Who is the leader? Will Allan enjoy his meals? Will Rebekka ever figure out who she loves? And is that even important given that she is confined in a coffin?

Willow Rose gives us a story that is more twisted in the details than her earlier books. There is an emphasis on horror. There is a rather complex depiction of Danish Royalty. Readers may find themselves going to Wikipedia to find out if there was really an experiment that involved Denmark and Greenland. This novel departs from the first three, it is not merely a continuation of the story. I think that is interesting in a set with a Series name. And there is a new possible surprise element, not really a cliffhanger, that forces me to read Book number 5. I would give this novel an Amazon four star plus.

The men in this book suuuuck. The boyfriend is a childish twat who only wants what he wants and throws a tantrum when he doesn’t get his way. Doesn’t respect Rebekka’s opinion at all.

The ex husband is also awful. He’s very manipulative and also doesn’t listen to what Rebekka wants. At one point she repeatedly tells him no and to leave, but he basically tells her to shut up and go with it. Doesn’t care at all that she’s in a relationship because he also only cares about what he wants.

The dad was the only one who seemed decent, but he wasn’t in it very much. I haven’t read the previous books so I don’t know if that’s how he always is or not.

Rebekka isn’t amazing either. She definitely needs therapy to work out why she chooses emotionally manipulative and angry guys, and doesn’t think through her actions. This is the first book I’ve read in the series, so I’m not sure if any of this was covered in previous books.

I also had an issue with the age of the victims. I’m not sure why the author made them so young, because it reeked of pedophilia. Hella creepy. At least make them 16 or 17 so it’s not as yucky.

Also, since it’s not in the content warnings - necrophilia is mentioned in this.

There were SO MANY errors in this book. Grammatical, spelling, using the wrong version of a word, all that jazz. I’m not sure if this is translated or had a bad editor (or both). If they at least stayed consistent it would be better. One time they said duck-tape, another duct tape (correct), and another duct-tape. Why so many variations? I’m not sure why so many of these errors made it through the final version, but it took away from the reading experience and made me twitchy.

Rebekka Franck (reporter) with the The Zeeland Times stated; at the Roskilde festival bands from all over the world would come.
When Amalie (14) awoke Camellia was nowhere around.
Allan Witt was preparing supper for Sebastian Devalnier (Allan’s gay lover).

Will Camellia ever find Amalie?
What about Allan & Sebastian?

Warning: This book is for adults only & contains extreme violent or graphic adult content or profanity &/or sexually explicit scenarios. It may be offensive to some readers.

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. A very well written horror book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great horror movie, or better yet a mini TV series. It was just OK for me but I will still rate it at 4/5 stars

Rebekka Franck finds herself in the thick of things, once again, and this one is as disturbing as it gets. The author seemed to be going for shock value this time, but I think she may have gone a little over the top with that. I have to add that I've noticed a tendency to use both first and last names repeatedly. It jumped out at me in the second book in the series, but considering the villain we were dealing with, it kind of made sense. But, that same tendency has jumped out in subsequent books, including this one, and it becomes a bit tedious, especially when it's done over and over within a few paragraphs. I have to say that I've liked our heroine thus far in the series, but a couple of things in this installment were bothersome to me. I won't give spoilers, but toward the end of the story, Rebekka came off as self-centered and having little regard for the feelings of others, including how some of her actions would impact those around her. The conclusion here is a bit open-ended with some unanswered questions, and that story sounds intriguing enough to check out the next book.

Rebekka Frank #4

But when she opened her eyes and found herself in the man's basement, she knew she wasn't safe anymore. She was trapped.

Amalie never told her parents that she wasn't going on the weekend holiday they had planned for her, instead, she went to a festival with her friend Camilla. But will this be the last foolish mistake the girls will make? When Amalie goes missing, Camilla searches for her, she even asks Rebekka Frank, a journalist for the Zeeland Times who was covering the festival, for help.

This book won't be for everyone as it's quite violent and contains some sickening scenes, some of them quite horrific. Even in the trickiest situations, Rebekka Frank never gives up. The pace is fast, it's tense, gritty, and gripping. I did feel the ending let this book down a little.

This was an exciting story and didn't disappoint although I felt it was a log to swallow at the end when we found ot the origins of this monster. Until then it was an "Unputdownable" story.

Crappy

Horrible writing, can't tell if it was translated (poorly) and the author doesn't speak English or simply sucks at spelling, grammar, punctuation and basic story-telling. I only made it to 7%, the first page of chapter 3, before quitting. This did it for me: "He listened with pleasure to the screams coming from the basement of his three story house in Hellerup overlooking the ocean. A smile was planted across his face. She was awake. Allan licked his lips to moister them, while he sat in the black chaise longue designed by Le Corbusier with his iPad in his lap.". The previous two chapters were similar, riddled with errors and tedious detail that tells without showing. Crappy. I downloaded it for free and am shocked that the current asking price is $5.99. Good lord.

Wealth and privilege can't protect two teenage girls from the machinations of a madman. Abducted from a festival no one knows they were attending they must face a twisted scheme of torture and murder. The only hope they have is intrepid reporter Rebekka Franck. But she too falls into the clutches of the killer.

This book is unpleasant and unlikeable. I felt no connection to any of the characters. The girls were snots, the reporter a flake and the killer a weak Hannibal Lector wannabe. It made no sense that a so-called reporter wouldn't capitalize on a story she became a part of. Storylines including the pervert cabal and their interest in Rebekka are not resolved. Unpleasant and unsatisfying this is one to pass.

"Awesome And Shocking!"

Here, again, is a suspenseful thriller to knock you out of your socks! Amalia is 14 years old, from the rich area of town. She wants to enjoy life like all the other teens. She's at a festival and winds up with a man offering her drugs. When she wakes up, she's not in her tent, she's in the basement of the house of the strange man. She knows instantly that she is not safe. She's trapped in his spiderweb. Oh, the Queen of Scream is laid back and enjoying a glass of wine ... while your eyes are filled with horror! Great entertainment ... much better than TV shows and horrible advertisements.

It's a miracle I ever made it this far into this series. Author was trying way too hard to be creepy. Another character had to remind me how "scary" another character was and if you're reading a thriller like this, you wouldn't need other characters input on how the other is. You get it by the actions and such, it was so repetitive. " he was so creepy. Omg creepy." It's a miracle there wasn't a pedophile in this book as well. The series overall felt like a waste of time after reading this one. Also, why write thriller/mystery if there's more detail in the sex than the actual big plot murder. I'm not going to read a thriller for the sex.

"deliciously" evil

Our famous reporter has once again stumbled into some trouble but is caught up, way too close to the action this time, with the most evil mind she has met yet. rebekka is reporting on a large live music festival when she finds a young girl is missing and then another goes missing and what this kidnapper has in mind for these girls and rebekka is beyond the imagination. We are kept on the edge of our seats thru this page-turner in the usual Willow Rose style. Although, I will be reading the next in this series quickly cause I many questions that are left hanging at the end of this book.

Weirdly macabre!

For the second year in a row, Amalie and Camilla have lied to their parents in order to attend the Roskilde music festival. This year’s festival will be different though because someone is anxious to meet them – someone that will make them wish they had stayed in their privileged world where they were safe. When Rebekka Franck inadvertently reveals the location of one of the girls she is determined to get their story to the public and force the police to take action.

This story has plenty of plot twists and is action-packed. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish.

This was a hard book to read. Sick people. The ending was unsatisfactory. I though throughout that Thomas De Quincey was actually Peter and everything fit into place. Then the book just ended. Peter shows up and is the hero. What happen to the people at the party, the Prince, De Quincy and his people. Unless they were Peter and the police. I don't like that Rebekka took Peter back and dumped Sune but I don't like that Sune sent her away for expressing her feelings. I don't think I really liked any of the characters in this book (besides Julie and Tobias - that is not going to end well.)

A pair of 14 year old girls decide to secretly attend a weekend rock concert. Not an unusual thing, except one of the girls is a real life princess and there's a maniac on her trail. A reporter, Rebekka Frank, somehow gets involved in trying to save the princess, and in doing so she becomes a target as well. It's a good story, kinda gross in some of its ideas, but what do you expect from a lunatic? My only problem with the book is that it leaves too many open plot lines to be picked up in the next book of the series. I think books should be stand-alone things with real endings. Guess i'm old fashioned.

The bad guy in this novel is all your worst nightmares rolled into one! I can't even to begin to dscribe what this man is capable of and which he gleefully commits--just because! A true psychotic!

He has managed to capture the princess of Denmark, then her friend. He has them in plastic cases where he is either fattening them up or committing otherwise inhumane acts--just so he can kill them and serve them up for his guests.

Rebekka Franck gets involved--then she gets trapped in this lunatics clutches. Will she be able to save all of them? You will have to read this novel if you dare to find out! There is a twist that you will not see coming as well!!

This book by Willow Rose had me hooked from begining to end. It is horribly gruesome, very graphic in it's descriptions and more than enough to give you nightmares. I don't generally like so much violence and depravity but still I couldn't put it down. A really good horror / thriller but be warned if you have a weak stomach!

The storyline was great, however ...

I really enjoyed this "edge of your seat" story!! You truly feel what the protagonist is going through, physically and emotionally. But, I especially felt for the girls for the torture they were forced to endure. The one thing that kept me from completely loving my reading of this book, however, was the many grammatical errors throughout. It drives me bonkers when I come across such poor writing skills, because there is no excuse for it these days with spellchecker!!

Seven, eight….

I will say this is a very disgusting book twisted minded man. He’s clearly disturbed in the mind. He killed a young girl at the age of ten. His father is Royalty, they sent him away to a boring school. He kidnaps his sister, her friend, he is having relation with another man. He plans on killing the girl’s and feeding them to his father. As I said very disturbing story. It doesn’t end properly, I suppose you would have to buy another book to find out what happens. I’m not interested. I need a shower to wash this filth off.

Read Willow Rose!

I am a huge fan. While at home sick, I read a Willow Rose book and fell in love! As an American, I have had to look up places and words, and even Danish historical events due to translation from Danish to English! I have learned so much AND read some truly creepy novels! I have read at least 10 in the couple of months since my illness and become a great fan! Read Willow Rose!

A Terrifying story. Amalie and her best friend Camilla come from Rich families. They feel that they don't have the same freedom as other kids their age. So they sneak off to a festival. Amalie goes missing. Camilla is scared and worried for her friend so she begins handing out posters with Amalie's picture on it asking for help to find her. Rebekka Franck a Jpurnalist gets one and says she will help Camilla find her friend. But what Rebekka doesn't know is it just might cost her her life!!!!!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review
Firstly, this is a book about torture, pain, kidnapping, and murder. At some points, it is explicitly detailed. That being said, the book/story is well put together, situations and action square on in your face, characters are fully and completely detailed, and the majority of the interactions between the characters are excellent

I got this book in a set of the first 5 of the series. All of them have had a good storyline, interesting characters, but are filled with mistakes. They are readable but you need to just accept that there are going to be lots of errors. Also in this book, the ending felt very rushed when compared to the others. I am going to continue to the next book. They are certainly holding my interest but I can’t justify giving a 4 star rating to a book with so many errors.

Left me wanting more

I enjoyed this book very much. It has strong female characters that were relatable and easy to feel for. The story flowed well and kept me hanging on. Th ending was off though. I felt like I had missed something or there should be more to come. The master identity was never revealed and the whole wrap up was just well done. It has left me with a desire to read on to the next book since I desperately feel like there is more to the story.
