Ash was born on Christmas Day 1974. So started a life of "Merry Christmas...And oh! Happy Birthday too." Before you say, "Aw Shame" and break out the tissues, please know that Ash is a Christmas Diva! There are always two presents ...or else!

Reading and writing was a big part of Ash's life growing up. Being a typical rebel, rather than joining the cut-throat corporate world after graduating, Ash became a vegetarian hippie instead and went into the gardening/ nursery business. The irony of a vegetarian "plant lover" is still lost this award winning Horticulturist to this day.
Ash traded comfortable hemp attire for corporate cotton later on and became the Purchasing Manager for McDonald's Asia, Pacific, Middle East and Africa region. These days neither the high flying corporate Exec or the vegetarian hippie exist, but rather the family orientated book lover with not so much spare time to read anymore.

The eternal rebel loves to connect with fans (or "Stoneys!" as they are lovingly referred to). So, go on and stalk away, you rebel you!

I will start with giving this wonderful book a stars and I give it 4,5 out of 5 stars.

The reason why I give it this grad is:
- It's very well-written and the characters is realistic and complex.
- The book is not (thank god) not a typical romance/adult book, because it's really refreshing to read a adult book which a mixed with drama and action. And the lovestory is realistic, I can relat to and not overdramatic and sweet.
- The book is very hard to put down and very unpredictable and I LOVE not knowing what is coming next.
- It's very unbelievable that this book Capital D is a first novel and I can't wait to read more books from this amazing woman/author.
- Even though the book have some small flaws it's very delicate with a Capital D ;)

I really hope this book is the beginning of a serie or trilogy :)

From the book title I had no idea what to expect. Ash Stone's excellent slow burn start sets up a non-stop pile-driver guns-blazing high tech thriller that grabbed me by the scruff of the neck and dropped me off at the last page, thankfully in one piece and still breathing. This slick tale of two friends reuniting after 15 years apart - the sexy Silka and the handsome muscle-bound Taber - leaves me in no doubt that this author has found a niche for her amazing talents. Move over Lustbader and make room for Stone the new kid on the spy block. If you like spies sighs and naked thighs - and there's plenty of naked thighs I might add - then this book is right up your street. I was also impressed by the author's use of the movie and glamour world to describe the action and thoughts and there was no doubt that this book had been well researched from infamous gangs, terror groups, weaponry, technobabble and all the various spy networks competing out there. I particularly liked the Jagger/Faithful moment. I will not divulge on the story as it is a secret until the book has been opened. So what are you waiting for, download this FIVE STAR globe-trotting sexy spy thriller and discover what Capital D really means.

"Capital D" by Ash Stone is a fast paced and gripping action packed thriller about two beautiful people of the opposite sex who have not seen each other since their high school days. Now they are hugely attracted to each other and while Silka and Taber try to get closer to each other a sudden kidnapping attempts leads them into the middle of a complex web of crime.
What appeared at first a romantic chick lit novel about Silka and her troubled relationship with her mother turned quickly and surprisingly into a fascinating spy thriller with great action and suspense.
I read the PG version so the erotic contents of the romance were played down, but the chemistry between the two main characters is still very believable and one of the strong points of this novel.
The story about rich and beautiful people, daring and powerful gangsters and heroes, this is an explosive and rewarding read.

"As sure as God made little green apples" I can not wait to read more of Silka and Tayber, who after fifteen years apart are reunited again. From the very beginning of the story line, I was engrossed with the mansions that were described in great detail, to the fast paced and non stop thrills all along the way. Silka and Tay try to fight their feelings for each other which keeps the tension high. Some might prefer the PG version, (there is one) because the sex scenes are very spicy. Capital D is a thriller, action adventure and romance book all in one. The author created people I found myself relating to. Ones I could suffer with, and then rejoice in their happiness. With these two sexy characters, women will want to be Silka and men will want to be Tay. 5 STARS Natasha and I seriously hope there's more to come.

Nothing like a high tech thriller to brighten your day. Ash Stone leads us through a tale of two old friends who reunite after 15 years. Needless to say, there is some heat mixed into this story. :) Silka and Taber are simply wonderful. So, if you like spies and heat and well, an awesome thriller,
check this one out.

This book was D*mn good with a Capital D. I really enjoyed reading it! It was an intriguing, suspenseful, and sexy ride. There are twists and turns, which will leave you guessing and gasping. A lot happens in Capital D, but it's tastefully written, the drama isn't over the top, and there's never a dull moment.

Taber Blake is Delicious with a Capital D. He's sweet, caring, and loving. He's strong, protective, and powerful. He will have you swooning, especially when he works his mojo. You will never question his devotion to Silka, even when their relationship hits a few snags. He's just an all-around good guy.

Silka Fontein is a Delightful heroine with a Capital D. She's strong, confident, and determined. I loved her wit and her ability to joke during the bad situations. She can be extremely stubborn, and she drives Taber crazy sometimes, so she is totally awesome!!!

This is a great book and it has everything: romance, mystery, suspense, awesome characters, and so much more. I do have to say there was a part of me that couldn't connect to the story and felt that some parts seemed a little impersonal – more matter-of-fact – but I didn't feel that way most of the time. Besides that, I really loved it!

I loved the humor, the characters, and especially the passion. Let's just say I will probably never look at another chocolate bar in quite the same way... Curious? I guess you're just going to have to read the book!

Capital D does end with a HEA and while it's not a cliffhanger ending, it does let the reader know the there's more to come. I know I Definitely with a Capital D cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!! ~ Paige, 4.5 stars

~~~
What a good combination of action and romance. Right from the start I got a Mr. And Mrs. Smith vibe from this book and then I come across the line, "The undercurrent in the room reached Mr. And Mrs. Smith proportions." I love me some Brad Pitt so this was a fun read!
Silka and Taber have known each other since their youth and because of that, their newfound love for each other feels real. I loved their intimate moments and anticipation. There were plenty of twists and turns and some unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in book two!
This book made me feel just about every emotion. I loved the one-liners and the sarcastic 'hero' team she compiled was perfect. I couldn't always keep up with the flow of the story, yet I loved the idea of it. It was Daring with a Capital D. ~ Krissy, 3 Dangerous stars.
I rate this book a Capital G - for Great. Stone really knows how to deliver a solid punch that will knock your socks off. Capital D has something for everyone; intriguing suspense, steamy romance, raw comedy, live drama, with action galore. I thought peanut butter went good with chocolate, but the heroine Silka comes up with a much better mix. You’ll have to read the story to see what I mean. I can vision a movie in the making. I rate it four plus out of five stars. Thomas Hay (The Comeback Kid)
Capital D by Ash Stone is a terrific spy thriller. It starts slow with deep mysteries, and passions, full of lies and tresspasses. But once Tayber and Silka move forward from the lies, the honest intensity is almost more riveting. This story line is wavy and unpredictable. I loved how the title strung a path throughout the action. A very different love story.
'Capital D' does not fit easily into any genre, so if you like your stories multi-layered and surprising, with action, romance, and the odd dollop of humour, this might just be for you. An interesting book, well structured, and with acutely observed characters. I will read Ash Stone again.
