“Best fuckin’ thing that’s ever happened to me, I wouldn’t change a damn thing. You changed my life, Willow and you changed me. You’re my moment, you make me who I am. Having this with you is just an added bonus.”

Dark Endings picks up months and months after Willow & Jagger’s world crashed, forced apart, they have to learn how to live without each other. Jagger can’t risk Willow finding him, he has to do everything he can so she can live…free.

But everything changes with two little lines
“Every fucking second. Every fucking minute. I never stopped thinking about you. My heart fucking died without you Willow, it broke in half and it died. I died. I lost my moment, I lost my reason for living.”

Misunderstandings, hurt, pain, love, loss, everything that should be said just waiting to explode; Willow knows what she has to do and she won’t stop at nothing until he is free. There is only one way out and it’s dangerous, too many people stand in the way, but they have to try.
“From underneath the trees, we watch the sky, confusing stars, with satellites. I never dreamed, that you’d be mine, but here we are, we’re here tonight.”

Perfect ending to this series, kinda got a bit scared after the second book, but this made up for it and more … Action packed in more ways than one ;) Erotically delicious, Jagger and Willow never fail to deliver. Really enjoyed this series, I just wish it was longer because I’m selfish like that.

They say that when you get knocked down to get back up, to push on, to fight. How do you fight when everything you've survived - all the sadness, happiness and the hopelessness have suddenly crashed down and the only thing you have left is the beating of your own heart or so you thought? SO many emotions with this book. I know I keep saying it, but this book in the beginning gutted me then pissed me off shooting me straight to Oh shit, I'm getting my hopes up. I have found throughout this series I have experienced every raw emotion capable of being felt. I have wanted to beat Jagger for being an ass and the next minute jump in his arms. Then you have Willow - how many times have I wanted to slap some sense into her then in the next scene engulf her in a hug and tell her it gets better. Just keep reading.

description

Willow has lost everything she lived for in the blink of eye or by the selfless act from Jagger. Suffering from wounds that can't be healed she comes to terms that the future she once believed in, will never happen. She has lost everything and everyone. Jagger is gone and the boys have unwillingly stepped out of her life. So once again she runs, but this time she is running to rebuild, to start over, to breathe again - because now she has a reason. Jagger is stuck in hell, his soul has been ripped from him so he is doing what he does best - moving on and trying to forget. This is the part that broke my heart. I wanted to jump in the book and be like FINE I will go save his ass, because I want my happy ending.

Don't worry you come out alive at the end of this book. I was scared I wouldn't, when I heard there is a fourth book. Bec seems to like to play with my emotions and leave me gasping at the end of her books. To say I didn't enjoy the way this book ended would be a lie. I loved it, all the emotions and heart palpitations was so worth it. She wrapped me up in her web from book one and when you think the ending couldn't be any worse than the last one she slaps you with a doozy again. I love the books that when you are reading you get so caught up in you don't even realize you have came to the end.So engrossed,so in awe you have nothing left, but to sit back and remember the journey she has just taken you on.

Let me start out by saying I loved Dark Passion so much when it came out, and waited on pins and needles for the next book to see what happened after the shocking cliffhanger. Then Dark Desire came out and it was really good, although not nearly as good as the first book. Now we get the last book about Jagger and Willow (I'm not sure if he is going to continue with the series focusing on the other brothers or not) and I really liked it, though nothing can ever top the first book in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, there was a lot going on in this book, but I didn't feel a connection with all the characters in this book like I did in the previous two books. Maybe it was because more than half the book was spent with Jagger and Willow apart. In the previous book we see Willow being dragged off the "island" away from Jagger, who has been forced to fight for his father in order to save Willow from becoming one of his slaves. He tells her he doesn't love her to make her stay away, trying to hurt her enough to do so. So of course I knew they next book would be like some big rescue mission, which it was, I just had higher hopes for this book. Like I said, that's not to say it wasn't good, it just wasn't the 5 Stars good I wanted it to be.

We first see Willow in a sad state of depression living in Florida on the beach with Ava and Jenny. The guys chose to stay behind in LA rather than helping Willow get through her pain(not liking the guys right now). She beg them to help her get Jagger back but they refuse to plan anything. Needless to say Willow is dying inside without Jagger, but she does have one thing to at least give her hope....

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
“The gang wouldn’t support me, instead they supported their boss’ words. If they helped me find him, then he would kill them all. Their loyalty won out and I was on my own with no other choice but to do as Jagger asked; run away and hide. So, that’s what I did. With Ava and Jenny by my side, and our combined money, we purchased a house by the beach a bunch of states away in Florida.”

“I don’t know where Jagger is, I don’t even know if he’s alive still. That makes me sick, it rips down to the very core of me and eats away at it, slowly but surely. I can’t sleep, I can’t smile…not when he’s living the way he is. How can I? How can I ever smile again and feel ok about it?”

Jenny informs the gang of a couple things, including Willows state of depression, which makes them decide to go against Jagger's orders and get him back to Willow. I really love Ace! He is such a sweetheart, and acts as a great big brother to Willow. He reminds me of that older guy friend you have while growing up that would make the perfect husband, if he weren't like a brother.... Ace and the guys come to Willow begging for her to forgive them and let hem help her get Jagger back.

“How could you?” I scream into his chest. “I loved you guys, I trusted you and you all left me alone. Now you think you can just come back? How dare you Ace!”
“I know,” he whispers. “I know what we did. We were following orders, we thought it was for the best. At that point, it was just too dangerous for you to try and save him. It would have only ended badly.”

“You were my friends,” I say, standing. “You were my friends and you just abandoned me. That’s not good enough, Ace. I appreciate what you’re doing now, and I get that you couldn’t help me back then but that’s not what broke my heart. What broke my heart is that you all left me when you knew the pain I was going through. You cut contact and left me. I can’t forgive you for that.”

To put it quite simply, Willow is broken in the beginning of this book. She goes through the motions of day to day life as a shell of her former self. It's really heart breaking to see such a lively, passionate, and sassy woman fall into such a state of complete and utter despair. Seeing her sister and Ace together almost tears her apart. She wants to show how happy she is for them but all it does is remind her of what she will never have as long as she doesn't have Jagger.

“I force a smile, even though my eyes are filled with tears. “I’m happy for you guys, truly I am…I just…”
“I know,” Ace says, saving me from having to spill my heart.”

Jagger is empty, lonely, and angry on top of all that. He's been taking steroids or his fights and you can tell his anger has only gotten worse. All he thinks about is Willow. He refuses to be with other women, not that he hasn't apparently tried, but he won't even think about leaving because his father quite graphically tells him what will happen to Willow if he tries. The only thing that seems to make Jagger feel anything or work out all his anger is fighting. So at least he has something to focus on to take him out of his depression and loneliness. He still hates his father more than anything, and in o way does he act submissive to his father just because he threatens him all the time. He accepts the fact that he is fighting for Willows life but will not allow his father to control him in any other way.
Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
“Don’t tell me who I will and won’t speak to. I’ll do what I f*****’ want and if you’ve got a problem with it, then I’ll leave and you can find someone else to play your f*****’ sick games.”
“You leave,” Mick snarls, “and I go and get Willow and f*** her until she can’t move. Then I’ll let everyone else f*** her.”
I punch him and Sharleen screams. He stumbles backwards gripping his jaw and panting with rage.
“You shut your f*****’ mouth,” I warn.
Mick steps forward smirking. “Punch me all you like, you’re under the chain here and you know it. You leave, she’s dead. Well, f*****…then dead.”

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos
When Jagger finally sees Willow again he says some pretty hurtful things, and I'm not going to lie, I did cry a little bit. He was horrible! Even if he was trying to protect her, she had been through enough pain at this point.

“If I see you back here, I’ll kill you.”
“Jagger,” I whisper.
“Don’t, I don’t want you here. Leave Willow, do you hear me? LEAVE!”
Tears stream down my face. “You don’t mean that, we can help you.”
“I don’t want your help,” he roars, “I don’t want it. I want you to f***ing leave. We’re done. I don’t want you. I MOVED ON!”
“Walk away now, or I’ll end you.”
“Jagger…you don’t...”
“FIVE!”
“Jagger...”
“FOUR!”
“Please…”
“THREE!”
“PLEASE!”
“F*** Willow, don’t make me do this. TWO.”
I turn and I run. I stumble over and my hands land in the grainy sand. I cry out and whimper as I get to my feet and stagger forward. He didn’t mean it, he didn’t mean it. Oh god. He didn’t mean it. Did he?”

“F***, f***, f***. It was her. It was her and I threatened to kill her. I listen to her whimpers fade into the darkness and I drop to my knees. I press the gun to my temple. End it. It’s the only way. It’s the only f***ing way. I just told the love of my life that I didn’t want her, that I’d kill her. I listened to her fall apart and I kept going. I’m a f***ing monster. Just end it.”

I don't want to say too much more for fear of giving spoilers. This book is not just about rescuing Jagger. There are secrets, betrayals, surprises (good and bad), hot sex scenes, tender moments, and an epilogue that will leave you feeling complete instead of spending all that time after you finish a series thinking you've been cheated out of a real ending. All in all I would give this book 3.5-4 Stars. And I am hoping Ace gets his own book!

Favorite Quotes:

“He was everything to me!” I scream, trembling. “He was my life line and now he’s gone. Nothing any of you do can make that ok again. Life without him WILL NEVER BE OK!”

“Fight me, but I won’t let you go.”
Ace. Always Ace.
“Let me go,” I snarl. “Let me go!”
“No.”
“He was everything!” I scream, shaking my head from side to side. “Everything!”
“I know, and we’re going to get him back.”

“I’m sick of broken bones, split lips and pain. I’d do it all over again though, for her. I’d do anything for her and that’s why I’m here.”-Jagger

5 I THOUGHT THIS WAS MY HEA STARS

I am stumped on how to review this? I LOVED this series with a passion and thought this ending was just perfect..but what was that I heard? There is another book? I am almost scared to know..having this one end with out the gut punch cliffie that Ms. Botefuhr has managed at every turn was like a trick? I was led to believe this was my HEA for Jagger and Willow but alas that is yet to be seen..I have to move to book four for my last fix of one of my all time favorite book couples..so this review I will keep short and sweet! I am moving on to whatever Ms. Botefuhr has in store for me..am I nervous? Do I have sweaty palms? Is my heart rate much faster then I care to admit..yes yes and yes! When you love a series as much as I love this one though..you just read the next book without question! So I read..

An awesome ending to a awesome series!!

I couldn't wait to read the final book in this series and it was definitely worth it as I wasn't disappointed!

It had everything from heartstopping action, drama, romance, hot sex and the heartaches. This was very well written, not only was it truly captivating but it was constantly evolving from the start to the end and I'm so happy with the way it all played out!
The twists and turns in this story will leave you reeling!

I going to miss the main characters Willow and Jagger as well as the supporting cast, they were equally great and contributed nicely to the overall storyline.

Bec Botefuhr is becoming one of my favourites authors and I can't wait to see what she has coming out next!

oh. my. god!!!

Wow!!!!
This was one hell of a ride and I loved every second of it. This was the perfect ending for this series and while I’m a little sad it’s all over, I’m so happy with how it all worked out. Jagger is the ultimate bad boy you hate to love but love him anyway. This series needs to be on your tbr if dark romance is your thing.

PERFECT CONCLUSION....

4.5 ☆☆☆☆

Bought it...read it... loved it... PERFECT ENDING to this trilogy, in my opinion. Quite a thriller in a lot of places within the pages, touched with some tender and necessary moments. Had me nervous. A lot happens, things are revealed and truths and secrets are discovered. Even starts off with a shocker. Something I never expected, but ultimately turns out to be quite the game changer.

While reaching Jagger does not prove to be all that easy, especially given his situation and the fact he appears to have changed so drastically both physically and mentally, as well as moving on, Willow refuses to just let it go. After months of being alone with no one to be there for her except for Ava and Jenny, Willow tries to move on and put Jagger and her life behind her, but something staring her in the face just won't let her forget.

Soon, many faces from her past that she has not heard from or seen in about six months make an unexpected visit back into Willow's life. Anger, betrayal, hurt and loss are once again forced into Willow's life, as she has no other choice but to listen, remember and attempt to move forward with the assistance of the very people who left and abandoned her all those months ago.

Illusions are crafted, misunderstandings are had, hurt runs rampant, plans are put into motion, threats are made, revelations are seen and the reality of who helped orchestrate this entire betrayal is finally brought to light. But when the love your life threatens to kill you, is there any hope of coming back from that?

This book was more than the final journey on the path of love for Jagger and Willow. This book was adventurous, intense, heart pounding, exciting, ambitious, brave and, in many places, nail biting as your nerves will surely be shot. The author spared no expense on making sure this third installment had all the things that the first two shared, but combined in the pages of one book.

A shockingly sweet and beautiful ending, bittersweet yet triumphant...this trilogy epitomizes the cliche "everything happens for a reason" and the Chines proverb "Great happiness follows great pain." While the series of events that led to this installment were less than ideal, coupled with the fact that it all started off with a very painful reality for Willow, in the end, all of those ins and outs happened to help and heal many people involved...not just Jagger and Willow. So many people along the way were hurt and suffering and without the events that took place, both good and bad, most of them would not have reached the point they were at at the very end...it is for that reason that any happiness they shared resulted from all the pain. It all truly did happen for a reason.

While this book had me nervous, anxious, excited and biting my nails, I forgive the author for almost forcing me to mess up my perfect manicure, because in the end, it was FOR A REASON...and the pain I would might have endured having to pay to get them repaired would have left me happy knowing that Ms. Botefuhr left me with a PERFECT ENDING to a DARK journey since at the end of the book, well, let's just say it sort of gives Jagger back a small piece of what was missed while he was away.

A TRUE WINNER FOR ME!

What a fantastic trilogy, and a fitting end to Willow and Jaggers story.
Secrets are revealed, truths are uncovered and Justice is for the most part, served.
If you have read any of Bec Botefuhr's work, you will know that there are some twists and turns that will not be able to work out for yourself and there will be surprises that will jump up and smack you right in the face!
Man, this girl has a fantabulous imagination! She write the most delicious lead males and Willow is one of the most realistic lead females if have read for a long time.
Willow is tough, loyal will fight for what she believes in but has the ability to be weak and a little needy where the love of her life is concerned.
There will be a little turn in the early chapters which changes the whole dynamic of the book and will make you see things in a whole different light.

We start off by not really knowing much about Jaggers whereabouts or if he is even still alive, in fact we know just about as much as Willow does! However, we all know Jagger is still alive but in a bad way.
Everything he has avoided his whole adult life is screaming toward him at 100mph, and if he wants to keep Willow safe, he is powerless to stop any of it.
His father has threatened to rape and kill Willow if Jagger tries to leave, so jagger is backed into a corner to keep her safe with no way out. His only outlet of his emotions are the arranged fights his father is forcing him to be a part of.

“I’m sick of broken bones, split lips and pain. I’d do it all over again though, for her. I’d do anything for her and that’s why I’m here.”

He is still the protective, sexy, tattoed hottie that we have grown very fond of and doesn't disappoint as the story comes to its conclusion.
There is drama, angst, revelations good and bad, tender moments, hot hot hot moments and a group of friends who will be there for each other to the end.
I love Angel and Ace, can't wait to read more of their stories, something tells me they will be just as hot and swoonworthy as Jagger!!

Overall a fab trilogy, fast reads with the right amount of drama to keep you interested and twists to keep you guessing.
An triple 4 star read!

I was already a huge fan of Jagger and all things Bec.
This is the 3rd installment of The Dark Brother Series. And I will be completely honest and say at the end of the 2nd DB book I was scared for Jagger. Totally frightened and couldn’t think of how this would be fixed. And into the 3rd I was still worried. Things happened and more fire thrown into the mix and you have no clue how it can be solved.
Willow was a different character in Dark Endings. She was always a strong willed woman but in this book she outshined. But she has every reason to. The boys (gang) are back in her corner. I can’t say enough that I love Ace and Angel!!!!!!! Ace gave me a complete swoon worthy scene. I still love you Jagger but Ace stole one moment for me!!!!! Ah..I should stop…totally just gushing!!! I really loved this book and wish I would have read it slowly. But I guess I will just have to start at the beginning again!!!!

Bec has done it again, more drama, more angst, more biting my nails.
There were a few yay and oh crap moments…ok more than a few :)

My only issue with this book is now that it’s done I’m rather depressed, no more Jagger :(

Where to start?! Damn you Bec Botefuhr! This book had me crying in the early stages.
I felt everything Willow was going through. The broken friendships. The heartbreak. The loneliness.
I felt it all.
"Right now, though, I'm going to hold you because I know sometimes loneliness can be the darkest of feelings"...Sigh, ain't it the truth?!
At times so heart-wrenching. The first reconciliation had my stomach sink so low I almost stepped on it. I wont give anything away, you just have to read it for yourself and know its worth it.
I love Willow. I was heart broken for her and shed tears over her impossible situation but was proud of her strength.
I love a story with real emotion and this one pulled me in from the very first page.
Well done, Bec!

The conclusion to Jagger and Willow’s tumultuous relationship.
A year as passed and Willow is still just as devastated about Jagger.
His gang has up and left her. She cannot depend on them.
She finds her strength in Cody first and foremost.
While Ava and Jenny were her moral and emotional support.
Then out of the blue Jagger’s boys are back and wanting to help.
But getting Jagger back won’t be that easy.
The story has a lot going on. Lies, deceit and manipulations and twist and turns that kept me on edge.
Willow and Jagger have a complex and somewhat toxic relationship.
But they also love each other deeply and need one another.
That love will be their saving grace and made up for their crazy.

I read this series when it was first released and reading it again now with the subtle changes made me fall in love with the characters all over again. Jagger and Willow are still apart as we begin the final book in their epic love story. I liked that we see Willow grow in strength from the broken women at the start to the strong determined person who will put everything on the line to save the man she loves. A story full of twists and turns that keeps you guessing all leading to a big confrontation and a fabulous ending.

Thank you to Bella Jewel and Valentinepr for the ARC to review.

Dark Endings was a great conclusion to this series. The characters grew so much in this series. Their love got less toxic and stronger. Jagger and Willow finally got their HEA. The story was full of action and betrayal. I was glad Mick and his helpers got what they deserved. The ending was perfect and I was left with a smile.

Right. That's it. I am now officially done with this author.

This isn't a book, it's a couple of chapters of a book. I hate being disappointed in an author with such clear potential, but unless this one gets her act together in a fairly major way, I'm steering clear from now on.
