Θεωρία της πρόσληψης : Μια κριτική εισαγωγή

Η "Θεωρία της πρόσληψης" αναφέρεται στην ομώνυμη κριτική θεωρία όπως αναπτύχθηκε στο Πανεπιστήμιο της Κωνσταντίας στα τέλη της δεκαετίας του 1960. Η παρουσίαση περιλαμβάνει τρία μέρη:
Το πρώτο, με αφορμή το επαναστατικό προγραμματικό δοκίμιο του Jauss για την εξέλιξη των φιλολογικών σπουδών, αναφέρεται τόσο στο πνευματικό και πολιτικό κλίμα μέσα στο οποίο γεννήθηκε η θεωρία της πρόσληψης, όσο και στους "προδρόμους" που επηρέασαν τη στροφή της κριτικής προσέγγισης στον αναγνώστη.
Το δεύτερο μέρος αναπτύσσει διεξοδικά τις θεωρίες των δύο κυριότερων εκπροσώπων της πρόσληψης H.R. Jauss και W. Iser.
Τέλος, το τρίτο μέρος αναφέρεται τόσο στη συζήτηση κεντρικών θέσεων των θεωρητικών της πρόσληψης από μεταγενέστερους θεωρητικούς, όσο και στις διευρύνσεις της προβληματικής αυτής από εκπροσώπους της σύγχρονης κριτικής.

Lots of great summary in here, and a good overview of the development of the theory, but there’s so much summary you might as well just go ahead and read the theorists themselves. I rarely mark a book as finished before I’ve read the whole thing but I was finding this drier and drier as I went along. Probably didn’t help that I had read some Iser and was getting a summary of what I already knew. Probably a good supplemental text for a course or intro for people unfamiliar with the theory, though.

Been ages since I've read this, but a great book! Whether you are way into reception theory or just want to find out what it is about, this is your book. Though I will admit that it can be hard reading for those not familiar with academic lit in the humanities.

Very good introduction. The criticism is sharp. The reviews are comprehensive. The style has no errors. Yet it could deepen into some interesting guys like Stierle.
