M.R. Adams was born and raised on Eastern Long Island. He loves lobster bisque and crabcakes as a result. His favorite place to write is in bed, and he watches too many marathons of Law & Order as well as LMN and SyFy movies.
Learning the craft of fiction in his undergraduate years at Georgetown University, Adams found purpose in creating new and diverse portrayals of underrepresented groups. As a minority, he tired of the themes of oppression and poverty that were overriding personality as the main signifiers of minority characters. He enjoys imagining fictional worlds where the politics of gender and sexuality are still at work, but the playing field is a bit more even.
He writes in the science fiction action thriller tradition. His work is for teens and adults.
