In this suspenseful and romantic adventure, Jesus, Joseph and Annabelle help a young woman whose father is held hostage by a local warlord. But jealousy tempts Annabelle to make choices she’ll regret, or risk losing Jesus to another.
The lost era of history’s greatest figure comes to vivid life in the This Young Jesus novella series. Whether facing the supernatural forces of demons, witches and demigods or confronting the worst kinds of human corruption and depravity; no adventure is too challenging for the teenage Jesus of Nazareth. Chased by the assassins of King Herod the Great and his underling, the conflicted Pontius Pilate, Jesus is a troubled young man with skills he does not fully understand, a temper he cannot fully control, and a destiny he seeks but cannot yet imagine. He is joined by his mentor and adopted uncle Joseph of Arimathea, a bold brawler. They are accompanied by Annabelle, a pretty and plucky teenage street thief who lends her wiles and cunning to their many perilous adventures. And she can’t resist falling in love with the gorgeous, charismatic and troubled young man who never shirks from a fight or from a chance to help the needy and down-trodden, whomever the enemy or whatever the odds.
Loved it as much as the first one, DEMON. This book is less-supernatural as Annabelle and the guys try to outwit a warlord and rescue his hostage, hence the title. Really well written and fun to read, Frendswith has created an excellent series here. Could be a great TV show.
