Wow. Just wow. This book is so incredibly fun and also unbelievably deep and emotional. I fell in love with the sweet, somewhat lost boy Nick was way back when he was first introduced in the series. I feel like I’ve been waiting for his story ever since that moment. And even though Nick captured my attention and tried to break my heart, he didn’t succeed nearly as well as Penelope and her precious baby girl did. I am completely in awe over the growth and transformation these characters went through. I fell in love with them as individuals, but my heart turned into a sticky pile of goo over them as a family. And now that it’s over I don’t want to let them go. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
A story full of love and magic I truly enjoyed this book of love, magic, struggles and finding where you belong in the world. Nick is a Kringle by adoption, after being raised in foster homes. He has never seemed to fit in and even his Kringle Christmas magic doesn’t seem to fit him as he struggles to control it. But now the North Pole and Santa’s Workshop are in danger and he is the center of the problem. He needs to do something to fix it. Sent to Founder’s Grove, Nick is faced with a town with no Christmas spirit. As he arrives at the city planner’s office to get permission for a Christmas event, he meets, Penelope, a single mother and an assistant in the office. Suddenly he is driven to bring Christmas to this town and especially to Penelope. As they spend time together, their feelings grow but in the grip of fear Penelope wishes Nick away and the wish is granted. When years have passed and all seems lost, Nick is again sent to Founder’s Grove on a mission to try again to fix the Christmas magic but things are never as simple as they originally seem and finding where you belong is never easy. A wonderful read. I received an early copy and this is my honest review.
This is such a fun and whimsical series full of Christmas magic and Santa but it always gives a nod to the real reason for the season. I truly enjoyed Nick’s love story. He had grown up in foster homes and when he went to live at the North Pole and was eventually adopted by Santa and Mrs. Claus, he was happy but he still struggled to find his place in the family. This book details his journey as he learns to use the magic gift that he received as a Kringle and as he falls in love with a single mother, Penelope, and her precious little daughter, Noelle (who kinda stole my heart). This book can be read as a standalone but the author refers back to events from the past that were shared in other earlier books. I have read those books and even so, I was a bit confused at first until I realized what was happening. It shouldn’t be a barrier to your understanding and enjoying this book however. Reading Nick’s story makes me feel excited for decorating, wrapping gifts, hot chocolate, and all the cozy things we associate with Christmas! I recommend it! I received a complimentary copy of this book and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions.
4.5 stars I was glad to read another addition of this series though it is a little confusing that it is still called Marrying Miss K and this time it is actually a Mr. K. This one isn't my favorite of the series but it it was fun to see all the other characters doing their thing to assist Nick and to figure out what is going on with the Christmas magic misbehaving. This story is something of a second chance romance since the first attempt went awry and they didn't see each other for several years. The daughter is cute and her relationship with Nick is pretty adorable. This is a lovely Christmas series and it would be fun to read all of them back to back. Unfortunately, I listened to the audiobook with virtual narration and the virtual voice doesn't match vocal tones with context and sometimes that just ruins it. I'm pretty sure I would have enjoyed reading it myself better than doing the audio. Audio with a real narrator would be great though.
Nick Kringle is on the hot seat once again. This time, he must find his one true love. The only problem is that she sent him packing a few years ago. If he can't set things right, Christmas might disappear forever.
This Christmas Romance is sensational. The first several chapters are devoted to the main character's backstory to make it easier for the reader. Then, the real story begins. Don't skip ahead. You'll miss too much important information. The before story is as delightful as the after, except he was sent away. But every good romance includes a tragic miscommunication. It only serves to make the end all the more grand.
Easy-to-read. Entertaining. Great world building. Happily Ever After. Haunting. Page-turner. Romantic. Tragic. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.
Fun and clever twist on Christmas magic and Santa Claus. Nick is the odd-man out, the adopted son. He knows the magic will never be his. He humors his family and goes on a quest. Penelope has lost the Spirit of Christmas. Disillusioned and disappointed by love, she buries herself in work and caring for her family. Christmas brings these two together and then the magic happens. But fear threatens their happily-ever-after. This is the perfect tale to put you in the holiday spirit. Curl up with cookies and cocoa.
Some of my favorite Christmas books to reread are the Marrying Miss Kringle books and I was so excited to see a new addition to the series! Nick deserves his own story and it's a beautiful thing as he finds Penelope and Noelle. And then everything goes wrong but he gets what he wanted.... And then the story gets even better! Loved the progress each person makes in this story and Noelle is adorable. Clean, happy, a little bit of angst, some Christmas related stress because, you know, Christmas magic! And then we get to see reindeer again, yay!
Nick & Penelope, Love & Christmas Magic—4 stars I love all the Christmas Magic and true love themes in this book! Christmas Magic appears to be an entity of some sort, directing the lives of the Kringles. Finally, we get Nick’s story and get to find out why Nick has problems with his magic. There is a bit of disconnect in the middle of his story as those parts are told in other spin-off stories. I wish there could have been more interaction with the reindeer, but it was fun Prancer and Rudy were included. Overall, another fun Kringle story. I received a copy from the author.
This is a great addition to McConnell's Marrying Miss Kringle. A wonderful Christmas themed romance read that is sweet and clean. Filled will the magic of Christmas with love, hope and humor McConnell delivers a beautiful emotional romance that I just couldn't get enough of. While part of a series, this book can be read as a standalone and while I have read a few in this series, I definitely love it enough that I want to go back and read them all, and I think you will too!

Great story of Christmas magic, True Love and so funny you laugh out loud. Penelope is afraid to love or trust. Nick Kringle is trying to find his Christmas magic and truly belong to his adoptive family. But he finds his one true love in Penelope and her daughter Noelle. She is so afraid he is trying to leave when he explains who he and his family are she wishes him away and he vanishes. Then she believes who he is! Hard to put down until you finish!!! Highly recommend!
I had never heard the story that the Kringle family adopted young children so that they could have not only a great home but also a family that was so special and that made their lives so special. We are introduced to Nick and Penelope as well as Penelope's daughter Noelle. A family in the making. We cheer when they meet, our hearts are broken when break up and follow them through their lives and they find there way back together. In a world where everything sometimes seems to bleak, this is a great book to have.

Such a lighthearted and fun book that brings the reader a Christmas spirit any time of the year. Nick is the adopted son of the Kringles. His Christmas magic was suppose to be granting wishes. When he finds true love with Penelope, then loses her, Nick begins losing his Christmas magic. The only way to save Christmas will be for him to convince Penelope he is in love with her. Will Christmas be saved?
I purchased this because I was reading the Christmas Loop and Twist and I felt I needed to know about Nick's story. Then halfway through I stopped to go and read Christmas Bounce. It really helped to understand the nuances that take place. Still loved his story but I 'wish' I had been given this advice from the start. (Spoiler: Nick gets the ability to grant wishes).
I really like this whimsical series and Nick’s story is no exception. He really wants to fit in with his adopted family but Christmas magic seems to have a mind of its own as far as Nick is concerned. Both Nick and Penelope have to face their fears of not being enough and learn to embrace love, family, acceptance and Christmas Magic.
I am absolutely loving this cute, whimsical Christmas book. The magical ways a hodgepodge of family members fighting against their Christmas magic come together. Each has been given their own talent or magical skill to use to make the Christmas season special. Highly recommended.
I love Lucy McConnell’s books. That said, I didn’t like the intentional missing section in the book. It is explained at the end of the book that you have to read three other books to find out what happened.
I’m also disappointed in the typos and a few continuity problems in this book.
I enjoyed this story of Nick who always felt a little like he was on the outside looking in and Penelope who had been left once and was scared to open up. Sweet Noelle brought such joy to this Christmas romance.
Finally Nick gets his story - and happy ever after ... eventually - after the 3 Christmas wish books where his magic didn't go as planned. Loved little Noelle.
Lucy McConnell’s Marrying Miss Kringle books are my favorite Christmas reads! I love the magic, the holiday traditions, and the focus on family. Nick’s story really touched my heart as he struggles to find where he fits, as an adopted teen and adult, in this special family. While he does, Christmas magic goes haywire. Which leads to a lot of humorous mishaps. I was so happy to see him find his purpose, and his place.
The romance between Nick and Penelope was so sweet. My favorite part was Penelope’s daughter Noelle. She was adorable! The way that Nick loved her, and vice versa was so precious!
Read this book to get in the mood for the Christmas season! It’s never too early.
I adored the first 5 books in the Marrying Miss Kringle series and was really sad when all five of the Kringle sisters got married off and it seemed like the series would end. I was super excited when I saw Nick was getting a book and even more excited to see if looks like more of the next generation will be getting books as well. I really love this series.
Nick is the adopted son of the former Mr. and Mrs. Claus, who are now retired, and is at a crossroads, having not yet fully embraced his Christmas magic. When he goes to a small town and meets Penelope and her young daughter Noelle, he falls instantly in love, but Penelope has obligations tying her to her small town, and Nick has his duties in the North Pole. But with Christmas magic malfunctioning and him needing to get married to save it (and be in the north pole) Nick can’t see a way out. Every time I thought I saw a way to Nick and Penelope’s happiness, author Lucy McConnell threw in another interesting twist I didn’t see coming! This was a fun one, and I always love the appearance of my favorite reindeer, which she writes so well. 5/5 stars.
What a fun, charming Christmas read! I absolutely loved how Nick was totally enamored with Noelle, Penelope's daughter! I also loved how he was willing to walk away from Christmas Magic and the North Pole to be with them. I'm glad he didn't have to! I would've given it 5 stars but partway through the book there is a part where there is talk of how Nick's magic gift has screwed up in several instances but no explanation is given. It had me totally confused and I had to read it several times before just moving on without any understanding (at the end of the book you find out there are 3 spinoffs that pertain to this). I also felt that the editing was up to par, especially for a Lucy McConnell novel. I have reviewed quite a few of her books and the editing as been tight but not this one.

Best if read in order. Nick's story goes throughout several of the books. In this one parts are mentioned but briefly. He grew up in foster care and has been adopted into the family. Will he be able to share in the magic? When will he find where he truly belongs.? What happens when his true love panics?.

I absolutely love the Marrying Miss Kringle series, and re read each book yearly in December. I couldn't wait that long and had to dive right back into this amazing world with this outstanding family. If you are looking for a cozy holiday read that had heart and humor this series is for you!
