Greatfall: A Silo Story (Part 2) is the second installment of a dark new story set in the world of Wool, Hugh Howey's post-apocalyptic vision of humanity and its struggle to survive.

The dark nature of Silo 23 continues to reveal itself to Maya, who lies bleeding and starving in a cell on the uppermost floor, and to Isaac, the innocent boy selected to carry on the silo's terrible legacy.

Oh, the twists and turns and crashes! I loved Greatfall II; it was full of emotion and I couldn't put the Kindle down. Impatiently waiting for the third. This was an excellent addition to the Wooliverse!
Wonderful! I love the silo setting! And Jason has made the silo 23 his OWN with it's own unique story and characters and government organization. I felt like I knew each of the characters personally and identified with their plight.........I read it straight through and at 1 a.m. I immedediately downloaded and read book 2! I can't wait for book 3 to come out...Jason has a lot of loose strings to tie up......but I hope 3 isn't the end. This could be a great looooong series! Thank you, Jason!
I decided not to review this, and removed my rating, since the book I got from Amazon is not the one that is currently for sale. So I don't know what changes have been made.
But apparently the author is forwarding reviews of previously published works under the same name, since the same thing was done with Part 1, which I did review. And it's showing up on a version of Part 1 that I don't own.
The middle part of a trilogy is a risky one, both for the reader and the writer. I liked the first part a lot so I started reading this second part trying to keep my expectations low, but wow! I was amazed how the plot was developed and how it ended with the final cliffhanger. Now there are many questions to answer and I wonder if one more part is enough to solve all of them. Definitely worth more than 99c.
I think I was holding my breath on this crazy ride...great tension that had me on the edge of my teeth. Could not take a break, had to immediately get #3. Fantastic!
