The Witches' Almanac: Issue 33, Spring 2014-Spring 2015: Mystic Earth
Since 1971, "The Witches' Almanac" has been the source of fun, wisdom, trivia, and magical lore for hundreds of thousands of readers throughout the world. Modeled after the "Old Farmers' Almanac," it includes information related to the annual Moon Calendar (weather forecasts and horoscopes), as well as legends, rituals, herbal secrets, interviews, mystic incantations, interviews, and many a curious tale of good and evil. Although it is an annual publication, only about 15 percent of the content is specific to the date range of each issue.
The theme of Issue 33 (Spring 2014 - Spring 2015) is "Mystic Earth." Also included are articles on Ganesha, graveyard dust, Italian cimaruta amulets, veiled witches, and the legend of the Wicker Man.

I love The Witches’ Almanac. The current 2013 edition is “Wisdom of the Moon,” as you can see in the video, and the 2014 edition is “Mystic Earth.”
I’ve tried the other neo-pagan almanacs, and while some of the articles were interesting, most of the almanacs were too formulaic. All too often, those almanacs lack the most important part of an almanac — the almanac part. Seriously, an almanac is more than a moon chart. They also have a strange template driven format and odd imitation “wood-cut” art.
The Witches’ Almanac has this wonderful flow with it’s articles and artwork. I enjoyed all of the articles, but the articles on Sir Richard Francis Burton, and Judika Illes’ Black Cat Appreciation Day were a big hit with me. I usually throw away old almanacs but The Witches’ Almanac is a keeper.
All in all, it is another awesome almanac. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars!

I have savored every edition of the Witches' Almanac. This one is no exception.

These always have interesting stories and useful information. Well worth getting even for gardeners.
