The word theology means the Logic of God. God does not expect us to respond in an unintelligent way to the greatest revelation of knowledge and understanding that man could possibly perceive; nor to remain in a haze of confusion concerning our origin, our identity, our eternal destiny and our present standing before him. He has made it possible for us to come into the same understanding, to enjoy an equal appreciation of that which he himself enjoys. True companionship only makes sense in an environment of mutual compatibility. The mission of Jesus was not to add to the mystery of Deity but to bring absolute clarity regarding the person of God as the Father of the human race! "If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Any idea that we could have had of God that is unlike Jesus would not be true about God! In Jesus the forgotten Father of the human race introduces himself again as our only true Father. Eph 4:5 There is only one faith! Not what we believe about God but what God believes about us! Eph 4:6 There is only one God. He remains the ultimate Father of the universe. We are because he is. He is present in all; he is above all, through all, and in all.(He is not far from each one of us; in him we live and move and have our being. We are indeed his offspring. [Acts 17:24-28])
A little booklet with a taste of Francois du Toit's lovely message of the gospel--theology is the "logic of God" and we are the ultimate expression of His logic and love, and the Son is our mirror. The book is a transcribed sermon with lots of non-linear scripture, which is how he teaches in real life--bubbling over with enthusiasm! It needs editing (grammar, spelling typos) but for the price it's a taste of a beautiful message. If you are new to du Toit, I highly recommend the Mirror Study Bible which has lots of the same little notes this booklet contains.
Great insights into the gospel. Jesus in you the hope of glory. Let this sink in and be free to be who God created you to be from before beginning Of time. You are not a mistake, God knew you and knows you how you . God never stopped loving you.
So uplifting and insightful. Truly a joy to read and take time to soak up the true message of the Gospel that has been hidden in the archways of religion, fear, and holier-than-thou perceptions for centuries.
Really beautiful I appreciated this. I wish it was more clear when he was quoting Scripture and when he himself was talking. But other than that confusing layout, it was absolutely beautiful.
An exercise in circular reasoning! Re-write the Bible to match your theology, then use it to prove your theology! Author ignores Bible passages that would contradict his pre-conceived theology or re-writes them to make his point!
Amazing little book by the author of the excellent "Mirror Bible". Controversial yet biblical, Du Toit reveals in a way I've never heard before how much we are loved by God.
The book actually was pretty good, but sometimes I'm just not in the right frame of mind to read certain books. This was one of them. I hope to read other books by him.
