We listened to this audiobook when my Kid #1 was around 10 or 11, so we listened to it AGAIN on our road trip this summer. Still just as bloodthirsty and adventurous as ever. THE classic pirate adventure and all that.

A little too abridged for my tastes. My kids found it too dense, i found it too light, not enough middle ground.

We listened to this abridged version on a recent trip. It's just an hour long and the reader was good, but I was still lost. There were a ton of characters and I couldn't really follow the story that well. My boys still seemed to enjoy it, but I think it was a little too advanced for 5 and 6 year olds. I would like to read the original story at some point.
