Athena Black is not the woman to mince words with. Honest, straightforward and very independent, she knows what she wants and how to get it. The same could be said of her friend-with-benefits, Math Professor, Nelson Hazelwood.

During a social mixer hosted by Ari and Riley Myers, Athena lays eyes on a man that could possibly change that status.

Denali “Dee” Chapman’s past has left many a woman brokenhearted. One of Nelson’s fraternity brothers, he knows all too well what damage Dee can achieve. Once he laid eyes on Athena, his life would never be the same.
Two men, one heart in the midst of…Searching.

Searching is the second installment in the "No Other Love" Series and it was a lively and beautiful read. In this installment Athena Black is the next diva to meet her destiny in Denali "Dee" Chapman. These two meet at a mutual friends benefit and sparks fly as Denali strums his instrument and mesmerized Athena to the point she is ready for any everything. Of course, there is drama in this book with Athena's friends with benefits situation with Denali's frat brother, but that does not stop Athena and Denali from pursuing a relationship.

I enjoyed Searching because of the character's willingness to establishing boundaries in their relationship and learning to trust and not let past relationships influence decisions. This was a good second installment and shows the author's ability to keep readers anticipating the next diva to fall under love's spell.

2 1/2 stars. I felt conflicted reviewing this book because of so many high reviews. I kept thinking I must be missing something. I thought it over for some time and well, there was a lot missing in this book. There was no character development for one. I couldn't tell you the main characters' likes or dislikes, hobbies. I knew nothing about their family life and only got a hint of their occupations. I'm not even really sure what they look like. Secondly, there was no character arc. The characters were not tested, they didn't grow throughout the story. There should be a reason the H/H shouldn't be together for some internal or external conflict, but I just couldn't find it. Their relationship was too perfect. Yes, there was a jealous ex, but she just made a couple of appearances and the heroine argued with her, the ex tried to make her doubt their relationship, but that was it. I guess I just needed a little more angst. I also couldn't seem to pick out plot points, which are necessary in a novel. I couldn't tell you where their relationship was put to the test or when the climax occurred. I guess I just felt a little lost and the story felt rushed.
