Kyle Marcum is stuck in a loveless marriage with a woman who’s never home. The only bright spot in his life is his five year old daughter, Emily. She makes him happy, and he thought his life was great, even with a lousy marriage; but that all changes the day he takes his daughter in to see her new Pediatrician.
Dr. Grayson Wells has a soft spot for kids and an even softer spot for his new patient’s father. Having just moved to the area and starting a new practice, Gray doesn’t have any friends, far less a love interest. Of course, he’s gay, and so the new hot dad and he will never be more than friends…unless he can convince him otherwise.
The two instantly hit it off and start spending time together. The more time Kyle spends with his new friend, the more confused he becomes. He’s not gay, so then why can’t he stop thinking about Gray…and at so many inappropriate times?
Kyle and Fallon are married. Kyle is the warm, loving primary caregiver of their daughter Emily. Fallon is the cold and distant spouse who only cares about work. Kyle meets Emily's pediatrician, who is the polar opposite of Fallon. Kyle never thought about cheating on Fallon but feels a strange attraction to Gray. They become fast friends and then more.
Please answer the following question: What is the respective gender of the three main characters?
Seriously, this is a m/f romance in disguise if I ever saw one. Apart from the baby plot, there is very little in this book that needs to be changed to make it a real one.
And as if that was not enough, the gay-for-you angle is hardly explored at all, Kyle is really too stupid to live and Fallon turns on a dime from cold, absent spouse to evil, manipulative bitch from hell and back. No, no, no, no.
Oh, and I forgot: There is REALLY A LOT OF SHOUTING going on!
