Nathan had steered his life in one direction since his youth: toward a future with Anna as his wife. But when his desires for an alternate future threaten that, he must choose the right path. Enter Maddie, the pretty cheerleader, who accompanies Nathan on a tour of the university they had both been accepted to, and his future path veers off into a direction that spins out of control. Can Nathan get back on the path toward his future with Anna, or is something else in store for him?
I fully enjoyed this book! Part 3 of the Quilter's Son. Nathan wants to get the quilting business to go big time. His plan is to go on to college looking into going to IU. He has been raised in a Amish home and normal is to go to school through the 8th. grade. His parent let him go to a public school to finish his schooling pass that. Nathan is a wonderful quilter taught by his real mother when he was little. Nathan was never told about his dad then his mother dies and he is left to go to be with his real father whom is getting ready to get married. Will his wife to be accept his son that she knew nothing of? What other secrets could there be in his life if he failed to tell her this? Great story and a little twist in it. This is a great book. I'm looking forward to book 4. Samantha Bayarr is a excellent writer.
Nathan is Amish though his high school classmates do not know. Maddie a cheerleader attending the same seminar and University tour latches on to him b!ackmailing him to teach her quilting or she will expose him. She walks in on his reunion with his bethrothed, Anna and almost ruins their lives.
This book was about a kid graduating high school and checking out a university. Not much God or Amish about this book. Book 2 left off with Nathan being 7 and this book skipped ahead 10+ years with no more talk of the rest of the family. Very disappointing in this series and book 4 is even worse. I love Samantha Bayarr but this series makes me not want to read hers again.
Samantha has again wrote a beautiful series of love in a mixed life as a city boy raised in an Amish world and that it is always best to be fully honest with the people you love.
There is no depth to the stories. There is no character development, and the same things get said repeatedly. This series could have been so good if the characters and the story were really expounded on and developed.
BACK OF THE BOOK BLURB (taken from Amazon.com) Nathan had steered his life in one direction since his youth; toward a future with Anna as his wife. But when his desires for an alternate future threaten that, he must choose the right path.

MY REVIEW This could be the best story so far in this series. There is quite a bit going on in this short story and was really good. Samantha is keeping me reading that is for sure.
Nathan's Apprentice is the thirx nook written by Samantha Jillian Bayarr in her The Quilter's Son series. The storyline brought out many emotions fkr me as I read this wonderful book, laughter, joy, and confusion. This book is written around the theme to never lie, always be honest and truthful.
I love the character Nathan. He is sensitive, thoughtful, caring, but a bit dishonest. When you read the story you will fiscover why I say that. Nathan has to decide which world be belongs in and is terribly confused. My heart sent out to him.
I was not given a complimentary copy of this amazing book to read and review. I was not approached to post a favorable review. I have rated this book with four stars for meeting my expectations of a wonderful story that i can highly recommend to all those who love the Amish genre. If the story haf not been rushed I would love to havd given a five star rating.
Congratulations to Samantha Jillian Bayarr for writing another fantastic book for her readers to enjoy. I will be anticipating more wonderful books from her in the future.
