She wasn't supposed to fall in love with me.

She wasn't supposed to reject me anyway when I offered as much as I could possibly give her of myself.

She wasn't supposed to get mad at me for breaking a rule that didn't exist, no matter how terrible my actions were.

And I was supposed to be happy when I got from her what I wanted, so why am I just as miserable as she is?

C.B. Alice, I anticipated this book and you had no idea how much. So imagine my surprise reading this and being left disappointed. I want to be giddy for the next book because of that epilogue but I can't. Maybe it's your characters' heads, issues, and your writing being all over the place or maybe it's just me setting the bar too high for this series after I rated the first two books with 5-stars, I'll never know but I won't be down with this series anymore.

The book started out great and I'm still clueless how it went all to shit just before I got to the 50% mark. I understood the kinks, no matter how immoral and bordering dark. What I couldn't figure was how this book turned from dark—or maybe morally grey— erotica to a freakin' soft romance with miscommunication as the third act. I mean, what genre is this, really?? Even the MCs thoughts, reasoning, or whatever the hell they were fighting about was changing multiple times that I swear I had a whiplash. Can you see me rolling my eyes and hear my sarcastic laugh?

Soooo frustrated

These too!!! Omg these too. I spent the whole book screaming for them to just talk to each other. This was just miscommunication after miscommunication and none of it was necessary. The hot didn't make up for the heartburn for me. The story was well written but apparently the misunderstanding trope is not for me.

Borrrring.

I hate when all they just writes a book like this, it was unnecessary. It had no depth. He had a whole bunch of nothing. It was so boring and unnecessary.

Very toxic. I don’t love them together. I think Addison is very judgmental.
