Like the previous book, this one was so dirty it made me feel positively naughty just reading it. Again, this isn't some whimsical little spanking book, but a deeper look into BDSM. I love the fact they made her sign a contract, and I also love the fact that each master is so different. No matter your BDSM preference, you'll find a master in here you'll identify with. Personally, I'm looking forward to Harry and learning more about him.
The main character really struck a chord with me. Despite her desire to participate in BDSM, she has a history that keeps her from really giving away control, and that causes some issues. I liked the fact she and her emotions felt real. I also really enjoyed the fact that you truly got to see her evolve. She didn't change overnight, but over a course of months.
Once again, Ms. Dawson has written a story that left me blushing and turning the pages at such a fast pace, I read it in one sitting. I'm looking forward to the rest in the series. That definitely makes this a Must Read!

Angelica Dawson is one of those authors I can always count on for a solid read and Kitten definitely didn't disappoint. Jocelyn is a very likable character. The story starts right in and keeps its pace and heat in all varieties all the way through. You don't have to read Blue Moon House before, but don't miss that one either. I definitely recommend Kitten to anyone who enjoys their stories hot and kinky.

Wow... another book so hot and steamy I am left speechless. Seriously.... it was pure erotica. I enjoy getting a peak at other members of the house... ready for book 3.

Having read the first book, it seems a little backwards to tell how the others joined. Good story but I think I will forgo the remainder.

Jocelyn wanted to know what Blue Moon House could show her. (She is not the only one, let me tell you!!) WHOA!! What a truly VAMPGASMIC story of exploration, healing and finding both your place in the world and your own strength & power in the place & ways you least expect it! Even though this is an explicit story, the story is a VAMPTASTIC one, with lots of internal reflection for Jocelyn. Her past experiences - good, bad & otherwise - all led her to the door of Blue Moon House, almost like a little kitten looking for a place to be the Mistress of... until the kitten discovers it needs to become a pet first, Mistress later... maybe! (Now I just have to wait for her to be out & about so that I can follow her there myself! DOH! There went my sneaky secret!) Jocelyn is definitely an interesting character whom I was eager to get to know, even to become her! Which surprised me since I usually go for the Vampires. ;) I loved every. single. bit. of this story and cannot wait to read more! Good thing there are more to read! My secret desires won't have to wait long to be fulfilled! Rather than being a story with extreme heat in it, this is all scalding hot & naughty with a story. A FANGTACULAR story!! I had read book 1 quite a while ago, so I decided to read "the prequels" first, then go back and read book 1 again! What a difference! My curiosity about each person was fulfilled so I could just lay back & enjoy it to its fullest, making each experience one most satisfying!! wink Angelica's FANGNOMENAL talent is on full display - no bar needed - with this very erotically charged & beautifully unique vampire story that had me purring (no Will needed, but definitely desired!) If you enjoy stories so hot they leave you sweating and love exploring, healing, caring and sometimes very ornery vampires, than let Mistress Angelica sweep you away into her very desirable Blue Moon House series! The books can be read in any way or order you want, as they are technically individual stories, but reading them in order, and ALL of them, will give you the full experience and take you to new FANGASMIC heights… over & over again!

I read this as part of the anthology Vampire Bites: Vampire Paranormal Romance Boxed Set
I found this book interesting. It had absolutely nothing to do with romance or romantic relationships and everything to do with sex, sex, and more sex. And it is definitely explicit sex. Throughout the course of the book we get at least a taste of a lot of different sexual situations: D/s relationships, anal, oral, multiple partners (anywhere from two to six), spanking, hair pulling, name calling, and yes, of course, vampire bites. As a whole, this wasn't exactly my cup of tea, but there were definitely parts that I liked more than others. The central character in this book is Jocelyn. We also see a lot of Daisy (her roommate) and Bernard (Daisy's fiancé). Within Blue Moon House itself, six vampires rule the roost (Sophia, Lynn, Nicholas, Willy, Harry, and Terrance). Jocelyn performs at least one sexual act with every one of these other characters (and more) at some point or another. Something I really appreciated in this book was in respect to things related to her rape. It is very clear that she has not fully recovered. It is also very clear that none of the vampires within Blue Moon House wish to harm her or push her too far, but that they do want to help her overcome some of the sexual fears the rape left her with. I also appreciate the way Jocelyn's submission was addressed. There is one quote that stood out to me where Sophia tells Jocelyn that submitting sexually is not an act of weakness in the least, that submission is a choice she makes and that she ultimately holds all the power; that Jocelyn is a strong, proud woman and submitting does not alter that or make her less of a person or woman. While I'm not sure I personally want to read more of this book, the writing was fine. There was no cliffhanger.

I have to say. When I picked this one up, I really did not know what to expect, but having finished it, this story went in my "That's Hot!" file.
The story flowed well, the internal conflict could be anyone you know, and the vampires are freaking awesome! This prequel to Blue Moon House had my attention from the start. There was little to no warm-up time needed to get to the "good parts."
All in all, I would call this a naughty, spicy read that hit the taboo nail on the proverbial head. I can't wait to get on to BMH and find out what inspired the prequel!

I read this book bc it was in a boxed set. Definitely has some hot sex scenes, but that's mainly all the book is. There's not really a story line and not much build up of the characters. If you're looking for some hot erotica page after page then this is for you...if you're like me and like a little more substance to your books then I would suggest you pass on this.
