This was recommended to me because I liked Sundome so much, and I see a bit of similarities between the two. Where Sundome had an aggressive woman physically dominating a guy who loved it, here we get an aggressive woman mentally dominating a guy who just wants her to leave him alone.

Another find off of Mangafox.

The protagonist (I'm not bothering to learn his name) moves into his new apartment to begin college. There, he discovers a hold in the wall that allows him to see into his neighbour's apartment. He goes over to inform his neighbour about it, only to learn that his neighbour is not only aware of the situation, but find it to be a turn on. She blackmails him (with a photo) into making a deal where she can peep on him half the week, and vice versa. He has no intentions of following through with this deal, and doesn't want to provide her with any shows. Unfortunately for him, his life seems to take every chance to circumvent his attempts.

I only finished 2 volumes of this one, but I won't be continuing it. I just don't find it that interesting. The art is fairly good, though.

It's just definitely marketed towards guys. Young guy moves in, kinky set up with his cute neighbour - slash - classmate , and despite his best efforts has the women he meets continually throwing themselves at him the moment they're alone. (Though to give the character some credit, he does resist temptation as much as possible.) Lots of fan-service for guys again, as well - nudity and sexual situations giving it an adult rating.

And it's not flat out smut - the author does attempt at a plot, with the conflict-attraction between the protagonist and his neighbour (emiko? Yumiko?). There are smaller plots in the volumes as well - at one point Emiko is assaulted, and Prot. saves her, with her returning the favour when the assailant comes back for revenge. Though she kind of looks like a nut when she does this - why not just call the cops? No, she throws oil everywhere, and threatens to set everyone on fire. That's sane.

But despite the author's commendable efforts to interject plot into the series, I just didn't find it that interesting. I don't care at all to try further.

Meine Meinung:

Ich sehe der Reihe etwas argwöhnisch gegenüber. Was mir extrem gut gefällt, ist der Zeichenstil von Wakoh Honna, deshalb gibt es auch 3 Sterne. Er ist sehr speziell, aber verspielt und detailliert. Ansonsten empfinde ich die Story bislang als etwas dürftig. Klar, die Idee ist sehr interessant und vermittelt Erotik sowie Verspieltheit. Allerdings kommt beides nicht richtig rüber. Emiru ist eher unsympathisch und die ganze Geschichte gerät nicht so richtig in Fahrt. Dazu kommt die Tatsache, dass die Story eher jugendlich und albern rüber kommt. Mein Geschmack ist es bislang nicht, aber ich denke ich werde dem zweiten Band trotzdem eine Chance.

Die Story war schon ziemlich abgedreht. Mit dem Zeichenstil konnte ich mich auch nicht anfreunden und Emiru war mir einfach unsympathisch.

Kido Tatsuhiko has moved into a new apartment. He notices a hole in his wall that looks into the next apartment. He doesn't worry about it too much, until he takes a peek and sees the girl next door Ikuno Emiru playing with herself. When he confronts her, she tricks him into a sensitive moment that can easily be interpreted as him assaulting her. She reveals that she gets turned on when peeking into his apartment and offers to delete the compromising picture for a price.

By the end of the volume the two are already suspected by their friends of being together, so I expect that's where the story is headed anyway. I don't see myself reading any more, though. Strangely, right now I'm looking for less romantic, teenage, tna stuff and more mature storytelling.

Emiru wants to continue peeking into Kido's apartment and allows him to do the same, 3 days per week each. Kido doesn't want the deal, so she let's him see some good stuff. When it's her day to peek Kido has a hot and bothered girl over. He wants his privacy back, but she won't let him have it.

Next it's Emiru's turn to have a guy over, but Kido doesn't let himself to peek to prove a point. Thankfully, he caves and does sneak a peek. He finds that Emiru is being raped by the guy she invited over. The latter eventually leaves when Emiru and Kido make too much noise.

So I ended up only just reading 21 chapters because literally, it has a addicting story line. It also has sh*tty art and all its about is a simp who has himself surrounded by girls, who only wants his pickle. Nothing more or nothing less....

The only reason I found out about this manga is through Gigguk talking about it on the Trash Taste Podcast recently. Yeah I'm afraid this aint for me chief, I need better art and a better story line to consider it one of my best. It hasnt so yeah , it ain't for me chief..

Der Zeichenstil ist voll und ganz mein Ding.
Bei der Story bin ich mir noch nicht so wirklich sicher. Allerdings finde ich es schon interessant und möchte wissen wie das ganze weiter läuft. Die Charaktere scheinen mir aber schon sehr gestört zu sein und ich weiß oft nicht ob ich darüber lachen und die Augen verdrehen soll. Mal schauen, ich denke ich gebe Band 2 mal irgendwann eine Chance.

strano questo manga. non e' di certo per bambini. quando ho cominciato a leggerlo non mi immaginavo neppure cosa mi aspettava dentro. anche se alqune parti sono definitivamente un po' troppo non da bambini! pero' Emiro mi piace da morire. no so cosa e' che ha di speciale. Yuri non mi piace per niente! si fa vedere tropppppoooo. Emiru invece e' carina ed e' il mio personaggio preferito. non vedo l'ora che quel babbeo di Tatsuhiko si mette con lei! e poi Emiro e' cosi' misteriosa! non vedo l'ora di leggere i prossimi volumi per scoprire perche' Emiru si comporta cosi' !!

A manga series with a lot of sexual content. I don't know, I started read this manga because of boredom it wouldn't be very healthy to suggest but it's the first time I've come across a manga talking about such explicit sexuality.

The title translates to “A peephole.” This is a loose review of the entire series.

Come for the “hentai with a plot.” Stay for the feels.

I started this long series a few months ago. I have forgotten most of the details of how the story began, and I’m not the kind of reviewer who would go over the first few chapters to get it right. Ultimately I read (and write) stories searching for meaning and to connect with imaginary humans, because it’s nearly impossible for me to do so with flesh-and-blood ones. I mainly care about what stories make me feel as they go through me, and what they leave behind once they’re done. Above all, I respect authors who seem to have lived vicariously through their tales, who come to care for their characters as if they were more important than anyone in their life.

That’s too serious of an introduction for this story. Our protagonist, a college freshman, starts living at one of those terrible apartment buildings that apparently every young manga protagonist is forced to inhabit. Soon enough, he discovers that his paper-thin wall features a little hole that allows a sliver of light to shine through. And once he peers into the hole, he gets an eyeful of his beautiful, college-age neighbor masturbating. She realizes that she has an audience, but she confesses that she has been peeping on him as well as he happily masturbated away.



Turns out that this young woman attends the protagonist’s college, to his embarrassment. They could decide to cover the hole and pretend they don’t know each other, but she wants to keep the dynamic going. In fact, she will expose the protagonist’s voyeuristic tendencies to everyone in his life unless he allows this kinky game to continue. A dangerous game like that needs some rules: he will get to peep at will some days, and the rest of the week is her turn. They aren’t allowed to cover the hole or acknowledge that they’re being watched even if friends or romantic partners come over.



At first I was impressed by the author’s talent to put her protagonist in as many compromising situations as possible. Sure, we are treated to manga boobs and butts, as well as sex scenes, nearly every chapter, but I kept returning to this story for the entertainment and the way it made me care about its characters. The protagonist is assertive and headstrong; this series wouldn’t have worked with one of those pussy MCs we get in so many other series. And his neighbor, the mysterious voyeur, kept stealing every scene she was in with her cool, controlled personality. Some book on writing I read ages ago spoke that all successful stories have an “us versus them” dynamic with a special character, who isn’t necessarily the love interest, and that they push each other to change for good or ill. As the reader, you become complicit with the growing hole that these two horny bastards keep digging themselves into as their secret threatens to ruin their relationship with everyone else.

I hadn’t expected the author, who by the way is a woman, to delve deeper into why the horny neighbor/blackmailer put her life in a standstill, barely leaving the apartment except to go to class, and refusing to make friends, to peek into the protagonist’s true self unimpeded a few days a week. I’m very glad that she did. This series improves as it goes on, as we are treated to more and more naked manga bodies, sessions of sex and masturbation, or at least panty shots.



What I didn’t expect was to find parallelisms between this story and my favorite manga, Inio Asano’s Oyasumi Punpun. Asano’s magnum opus ran from 2008 to 2013. This series ran from 2009 to 2013. The design of the voyeuristic neighbor and the cursed Aiko Tanaka from Asano’s work (I feel pained just by mentioning her name), as well as their twisted personalities, were similar enough to make me uncomfortable. And some twists and turns included particularly later on in the story reminded me even more of Asano’s devastating tale, although it didn’t come close to reaching those heights. The more casual drawing style didn’t help in that regard.

When I finished reading this manga series, I was sad that I couldn’t too evade my broken life to peek into that hole from which a sliver of light shines through. That’s some of the highest praise I can give any author.

Great plot w/ a voyeuristic girl peeping into her college peer's room. The boy is more innocent and embarrassed by spotting her masturbating. He goes to tell her about the hole, tripping over her feet as she planned to take a picture of him appearing to hold her down. Scared of her blackmail, he reluctantly agrees to keep a half-week switching peep schedule w/ her, where they accidentally or not put on a show for one another. The problem is the art style has too kiddy or bug/dino like of faces to mesh with the slightly pudgy, oddly unperky/squishy bodies. The haircuts and outfits are also thrown together in odd configurations, the positions a bit repetitive or hard to make out without color and shading. Dialogue and throw-themselves-at-you girls and nervous-to-blowup boys a bit predictable. I don't care about the school stuff (female teacher is grossly porny seeming) and the boy saving her was a bit confusing because he mostly didn't, it's hard to tell what's going on verbally and visually.

Avevo comprato l'edizione tedesca, dal titolo Sguardi segreti, nella primavera del 2013, attratta dal titolo e dalla copertina, con quell'immagine un po' coperta dal buco della serratura. Non avevo idea di cosa avrei letto...

A distanza di sette anni, ho finalmente comprato l'edizione italiana del manga e ho intenzione di leggerla tutta. Perché, con l'edizione tedesca, mi ero fermata al secondo volume. Ma continuo a preferire le copertine dell'edizione Kazè, invece che queste italiane.

Lui e lei vivono in appartamenti vicini, separati solo da un muro piuttosto sottile con un buco sulla parete. Lei propone di spiarsi a vicenda; lui all'inizio non è molto contento ma non può fare altro. Sole che lui ha un sacco di donne che gli vanno dietro e ha una vita molto attiva.

Per essere un manga del genere, ogni tanto tira fuori dei momenti seri...

Tatsuhiko zieht für sein Studium nach Tokyo. Ein scheinbar harmloses Loch in der Wand, soll sein (intimes) Leben verändern.

Das Buch ist interessant aufgebaut. Die Geschichte nimmt sofort Fahrt auf und man merkt wo es hingehen soll. Das Thema Vergewaltigung wird für mich dann doch etwas zu schnell abgearbeitet. Ich hoffe hier kommt mehr in den Folgebänden, da dieses doch schlimme Thema nicht wirklich aufgearbeitet wurde.

Die Zeichnungen sind ok. Es ist natürlich sehr viel zu sehen, vor allem in Richtung weiblicher Freizügigkeit.

What can I say? It is fun. It's not deep by any means but it sure is enjoyable and intriguing.

What gave me an edge on reading this was a video I saw about talking about how it starts, like I said, just fun, bun as it goes along it becomes much more interesting than any would have predicted.
I decided to give it a chance and I have to admit, after having some pretty good laughs (and some nervous ones) I'll keep on reading this to see how it goes.
