I love this series. This book needs to be read after Stud 1 and 2.
I like that we get to see Ra's point of view because I was wonder how he felt while he was doing his 3 year sentence and all because Dre like to pillow talk. There are bits and pieces of book 2 in this one but just enough to show you the timeline, like when Dre showed up for a visit. I like that Sa'id only gave you a little bit of it and didn't rehash the entire story.
Ra never stopped his hustle and still delivered a little street justice. I also like that we got to see the other parts of what was going on with Malik since Dre didn't talk with him much.
This is a short read, will only take you a couple of hours. I thought the pacing was good, the writing is good but it needs to be cleaned up some for grammatical errors.
To answer the question at the end: Of course they should be, their chemistry is the best I've seen in a while for street lit.
Ra: (The Bid) by Sa'id Salaam, focuses on Ramel aka Ra while he is incarcerated serving a 3 year term. Ra tells his side of the relationship with Andrea aka Dre (Stud) and shares his experiences in prison. Ra's version of the relationship is the same as Dre's. There is nothing new to the story that was not already revealed in Stud 1 and 2. The story is OK but there are a lot of grammatical errors! My answer to the question at the end of the book is "Yes"!!! Enjoy!!
