Robert E. Keller is a fantasy writer and the author of the Knights Series. Previously a short fiction writer with many published stories to his credit, he turned his attention to novels in 2011 and has never looked back.
Robert was born in Northern Michigan and still lives there with his wife Tracy. He had a very active imagination from the time he was old enough to become self aware, and he would invent elaborate fantasy and science fiction stories in his mind. It was only natural for him to begin spending much of his time crafting short stories and novels on the computer screen. Many of the ideas in those tales were discovered on long walks through the woods.
Robert E. Keller’s writing has progressed!! There are a few thing that I don’t like though. 1) the resolve problems WAY to quickly. 2) they win battles too much and are basically undefeated 3) The teenage characters act like babies when they get wounded. And 4) why isn’t there a map of the fictional world yet? It makes it very confusing when traveling you don’t really know where they are. But all in all this is a very good fantastic fantasy series.
As with the first two books, this one was well written with characters satisfyingly fleshed out set in an engaging storyline. Ultimately I was left disappointed...I don't know if another book follows this third one, but there needs to be one. Many things were left hanging up in the air with the story and the reader is left wondering what could happen after the author's abrupt 'The End'.
This author desperately needs an editor. The bones of a good story are there, but they need fleshing out. Characterization and consistency would be two things to work on at first and then world building.
This was a LOT better than the first two books. A lot happened and I love how much progression we got. The only thing I didn't like was the ending...because...well....a certain thing happens and I honestly don't think it was fair. I love the new additions to the team. I can't wait to see what happens next. I know I'm going to read the next one super quickly. I do wish Lannon was able to do more with the Eye.
There are some places where I believe the author might want to check out some editing issues. Otherwise I enjoyed the continued story of Lannon and his companions. A great concept and world.
