WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAD TO SHARE THE MAN OF YOUR DREAMS WITH A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER WOMEN?

Abby Holt is running from a past she does not intend to divulge to anyone, not even the young man she would come to love, the outrageously stunning 21-year-old Devon Fisher.

When she shows up at a doorstep in New York City on a rainy night, destitute and bleeding and wearing burn marks on her hands, Devon takes her in. He nurses, clothes and feeds her in a turn of events that would change their lives forever.

But Devon, an artist by day, is a hustler by night to make ends meet. His clientele is diverse and very rich. Some of them can even be cruel, as evidenced by the marks on his beautiful body.

As Abby is swept up in Devon's unpredictable world, a tragedy strikes that neither of them could have foreseen.

BURN is the first volume in an explosive and very sensual New Adult romance series. It is approximately 28,000 words. Abby and Devon will not get their 'Happily Ever After' at the end of this novella, but their story and the shocking twist at the end will be continued in BURN 2 (Estimated release date: June 2013).

WARNING: There is plenty of sexually explicit content in this New Adult novella. It is not meant for those under the age of 18.

""The ‘love’ word does not crop up between them, but yet it is there – the unspoken fiber that
connects them. She loves him, that’s for sure, but she doesn’t want to say it to him just in case it jinxes
them. And she is sure that he loves her too. He only says it in a moment of sheer orgasm –
“I love you!”
like an explosive utterance, but she knows better than to take it as the gospel truth"

It's a good love+erotic story.
She met a boy accidentally when he helped her out.
Stayed with him.
He's was a painter and Hooker too.
Abby fell into love with Devon.
One of his clients got died and police charged him as first suspect.

So this wasn't a horrible story, but the question is, how much can you expect out of a novella? If you're looking for a quick, under developed Fifty Shades of Gray wannabe, you might like this. If you're looking for sexy time without all the character building in between you might like this. Since I don't care for much of any of these things, it's not really for me.

Burn lived up to exactly my expectations and more. It sometimes felt I was being told more than shown but overall I really liked it. The book moves well and is written well. I liked the chemistry between the two characters which slowly builds. I wanted so much to learn about Abby's past and cannot wait to see what happens in the next book.

Abby has a mysterious and abusive past, and Devon is a male prostitute. Abby falls in love with Devon suddenly once he takes her in and assists her with getting back on her feet. They fall in love and everything is perfect (with exception to him still whoring himself out to pay the bills) and the book ends with a cliff hanger. Really good and quick read. Can't wait to read the second one to see what happens!

This story is not about a strong heroine. Abby is a very broken girl who is on the run. When she arrives in New York she is broken, starved, and has no place to go. Devon decides to be a hero and take care of her when he finds her at his door.

This a short story but it is also very deep. It shows how two strangers can fall madly in love.

Enjoyable read but feel it's cheeky to have divided into four different books when one or two twice the size would have done.
The characters develop throughout the story as you learn more about their past & how it affects them now/the events of the story.
Just being picky, there are a few disappointing spelling errors.

I read the end of burn 4 and disappointed that Devon ending up with Claire instead of Abby. I have to go back and read burn 2-3. I paid $2.99 to download Burn 4 and it only have 62-63 pages, the rest are advertising.

Writing has kind of an old fashion vibe to it but the story is strangely addictive and I will definitely be reading book two.

Wet and wild

I really like how the story began it took some time before Devon and Baby became lovers, so now the plot starts to thicken. Can't wait to start the next book.

I really enjoyed this book. In fact I enjoyed it so much that I went and bought the rest of the books in the series. This book does leave off with a cliffhanger.
