I'm not sure that these books needed to be broken up into a series. I like the story a lot but I think it would have worked just as a well as one volume.

The overuse of the word "storeowner" is starting to grate on my nerves and I would really like for writer to use some other descriptor occasionally.

With how long the story is turning out to be there really could be more character development. The character I liked the most and that I felt had the most compelling back story is already dead at this point in the story so I'm hoping the author steps it up in book 3 (or I guess you could call it 4 since there was a prequel).

This book series is becoming better and better. There were very good parts of the book that made me want to keep reading to find out what would happen next.

In one part of the book, I couldn't believe what Noah did. I thought he put himself before the group, but I could understand him wanting to do something that he thought was the right thing to do for family matters. Another part of the book was when something happened to Jameson. I felt sorry for him.

The cliffhanger at the end of the book only makes me want to read the next book.

Overall, I thought that this book still lives up to its expectations along with the two previous books and I can't wait to read the next book to find out what happens next.

I would recommend this book to people who love horror and zombie books.

This book was much better than the others. It goes more in depth to explain more about the contamination and how and why it started. The book does jump back and forth between different character which can be a little confusing. I love that the reader is able to see both sides of the story though from the POV of the protagonists and the antagonists. This book does have a bit more action in it and beware someone may or may not die. Overall this book is pretty good and is easy to get sucked into. So far I am enjoying the series and am ready to read the next book in the series.

Well, three books in and the characters are still cardboard cutouts, but it is at least a good read so I will continue.

Still absolute rubbish. A young adult novel. Poorly written with little to no depth in characters or world design.
Can't believe I made it through to book 2.

I have the box set 0-3 but wanted to give book two its own mention.

The previous two groups have met, in addition, we find out more about the villains and the reasons behind the apocalypse.

Although not original, the story has a great writing style and interesting characters - believable, too. Some character and story development build up further tension and future possibilities.

All good so far.

So I have been reading this series non stop for the past couple of days. I would have givin it 5 stars but the only reason is the swearing. Most people it is fine but I don't like to bring products into my house that my children can't read which is why I tend to stick with teen and young adult. This is one book I'll remove from my tablet when I am done. As for the story goes I did enjoy it. Very typical for a Zombie book and as I stated above I couldn't put it down. I just wish there wasn't such bad language in it. Easy to read and characters are developed and the author is quite descriptive. This item is free on amazon at the moment.

CONTAMINATION- CROSSROADS #2

Turns out some people are immune to the virus that had been planted in water and foodstuffs. In Crossroads the survivors find out there's men in SUV's trying to kill them, and at all costs, all survivors must die. The group's been chased, shot at, and have barely made it to a hideout by the skin of their teeth. Not only are they being hunted by the men in white, but the infected have superhuman strengths and a taste for blood.
Written more about the characters and more knowledge of the virus, this story starts to get intense and becomes more of a page turner. The heat has been turned up!

With far less character growth and building on previous characters book 2 turned out to be far more of a joy to read. More plot line with more and better flow left the author little room for overly graphic gore.

Again since I listened to this on audio the volume is far too low. The narrator does a fine job but somewhere in the production something went wrong.

Still book 0 and book 2 is well worth the read. Unfortunately these wont read well as standalone so read book one, and luckily book one is almost as short as book 0.

Definitely do not read book three, Crossroads, without the others. You need the beginning character set ups to understand what is going on. Not much set up is in this because the characters are already explained in the previous books, in detail. The overall pacing has picked up, and there were already parts where it was crazy! There are some slower portions where the characters catch their breath before they have yet another issue to deal with!

Narrator, Troy Duran, is amazing!

The pace and storytelling have picked up from book one, and happy to see the return of the St Matthews characters and more interestingly the agents at the heart of it all.

Downsides are the continued use of "storeowner" - just call him Sam - and dont think a re-cap section is necessary, should be read as part of overall series not standalone.

All in all looking forward to the next step as we move towards Salt Lake.

Another excellent chapter in the contamination series.
The two groups of characters come together and the story as a whole starts to unfold.

If you like end of the world stories this is an easy read with non standard zombies.
Can't wait to read #3.

Too short

Although I do enjoy the series, I can read the entire book in a little over an hour. That being said I enjoy the characters and the story line obviously keeps me interested.

This series has kept me on the edge of my seat..It's action-packed, at times a bit gory (but that's what we expect from zombie books), and well-written.

I'm really enjoying this series. Love the concept of a deliberately human driven apocalypse but still can't get my head round running zombies, hence only four stars.

Another good book. I loved it and I like how they all tie in together. But if you are going to read this series make sure you read the prequel. The books that follow will make more sense.

Heading toward below average.
The author has no knowledge of weapons and combat, and obviously hasn't bothered with even basic Googleing.
Unbelievable and trite.
