Bernard Glemser was born in England, worked for the BBC, served in the Royal Air Force during WWII, and served as a Cultural Officer at the British Embassy. He became an American citizen after living in the United States for a decade.
For every Mill Girl novel, there are at least 5 of these. As office-girl adventure stories they are just terrible, in the way that Redi-Whip is terrible when it smacks the back of your throat. And you think, as you cough it down and shake the can for more, "they should make this in chocolate..."
If I make it through this one, the review will be worth tuning in for -- ultra-worth.
