OBSESSED BY HIM is an anthology of entertaining, erotic love novellas chronicling five wealthy friends as they find love. This series was previously released as individual stories.

I enjoyed each story, but CLAIMED BY HIM was my favorite. Graves Buchanan is continually fighting his attraction to his best friend’s little sister, Chloe but she keeps tempting him. Graves tries to keep all his thoughts and desires about Chloe hidden, because he knows his best friend, Daniel doesn’t want him to have anything to do with his sister. I always enjoy reading about a bad boy falling for his friend’s younger sister.

I found playboy, Luke Preston funny and endearing in the story, TAKEN BY HIM. Luke is an unrepentant playboy, until he is shot by a women’s jealous boyfriend and decides to recuperate in Cancun. That’s where he meets Peyton Lane and for once in his life, he is serious about something.

BOUND BY HIM is a powerful love story. Andrew leaves the country for three years and when he returns he wants to resume his relationship with Whitney Donahue. Whitney has a difficult time forgiving Andrew for leaving. I loved their devotion to each other and their tattoos.

In KEPT BY HIM, Monica Davenport has always been with men she feels comfortable with, but the relationships lack passion. She asks her best friend, Daniel Lexington to show her what pleasure feels like. When he does, they both get more than they bargained for. Daniel was my favorite among the group of billionaire playboys. I loved the way he treated Monica.

Cade West has never been the same since he lost his wife to cancer in BARED BY HIM. Ivy Summers meets Cade when she requests a donation from him. With Ivy, Cade feels things he hasn’t felt in years. He insists the only way she will get a donation from him, is to plays strip poker. Cade broke my heart because he is a tortured soul.

I have wanted to read Red Garnier’s, Billionaire’s Club for a while and was happy to see these novellas put together in one book. They are well written and the characters are believable. In fact, I couldn’t help falling in love with all five of the hot, alpha males. Each unique story is about a different billionaire and since all the men are friends; all the stories are connected with the same characters. Each novella is short, sweet and to the point with lots of steamy love scenes.

This is actually my third re-read of these short, sexy billionaire reads.
I bought the book about two years ago and enjoy re-reading the five Billionaires stories.
Its cleverly written to take you through each sexy Billionaire's Club Man's journey to find true love.
Even though they're Billionaires, I never viewed them as cocky. Oh, don't get me wrong...they all own large dominating cocks and they know how to work them, but they all respect the other sex.
So, if you want a book that is literally five stories in one and contains sexy men who find their equally sexy women to love and then some;, then pick this book up today!!!

I'm not a fan overall of novellas, unless they are add-ons or extra scenes from a previously published full length novel. There just isn't enough space to have a fully developed story so what you usually wind up with is what happened with the five separate stories includes in this compilation. All five feature sex, sex, and yet more sex with not much plot or character development in between. And so much of it is really unbelievable. In the first story of Chloe and Graves I kind of scratch my head to believe that she's really a virgin, because she seems to know an awful lot about sex and men. Oh, yes, and they have sex something like six or seven times in a rather short period. Isn't this girl sore or something if it's her first time? The next one that's not really believable is the one with Peyton and Luke. Here's this guy who's the biggest player of all time, never has a serious relationship, and we're expected to believe he just falls hard for this woman so fast? The last one I had a real issue with was the final story of Ivy and Cade. The guy hasn't had a relationship for something like ten years because he's mourning his wife and then wham! he sees Ivy, has to have her just like that and they're having sex round the clock.

Aside from finding most of the relationships not very believable, and very little going on in between bouts of sex, I also found a lot of the dialog and language awkward. Some of the author's descriptive phrases and adjectives are just odd and I found myself rolling my eyes at various points during the book.

It's likely a good thing I bought the whole series as one combined book because after reading the first one I really doubt it would have interested me enough to continue on to the second, third, etc. Not a bad overall book but too much sex for the length of each story especially since it wasn't well balanced with other aspects. And I'm getting so tired of this young billionaire story line - in this book we have not one but five of them who are all friends. It's starting to wear a little thin.

Five spicy and quick reads.

This was surprisingly good. I normally stay away from short stories because they lack substance and leave you wanting more. Often they are rushed and have lots of plot holes. This book contains some of those characteristics but the writing is so good that you can overlook much of it. The storylines are fresh and exciting.

The first story was probably the one I liked the least but I left this on the shelf for a few days and tried again with story number 2. From then on I was captivated. There is something in this collection for everyone. Obviously there is more sex than anything in these books but there is some substance too.

Cade and Ivy will make you tear up a bit. My favorite story is Bound By Him, the story of Whitney and Andrew. Out of all the stories, this one feels like a full fledged novel almost in the style of Sylvia Day. I’m planning to reread this one soon. Here’s an excerpt from chapter 1:

“There’s a little string”—he pointed at his chest and then at hers—“ from here to here. I don’t need to tie you. We’re bound to each other, wherever we are, whether we like it or not. You’re bound to me.”

An honorable mention goes to Monica and Daniel in Kept By Him. Those 2 have a solid history and kudos to Monica for being the one to get the party started. It not my normal cup of tea but was presented so well that I drank every drop.

I struggled over rating this but I ended up with 3 stars based on good writing, story length, likelihood of rereading, and emotional investment

CLAIMED BY HIM: Some parts seemed like there were corners cut to make it a short story. A little bit more details could have been implanted for both Graves and Chloe’s background.
Graves is a lone soul. Being an orphaned child he never knew love and never appreciated anyone touch. A boy genius on the level of Tony Stark. Along comes Chloe. The little sister of his best friend. She is in love with him and has been since she was a child. Only they never acted on it no matter what she did to get his attention. Until her 25th birthday when she gave him an ultimatum. Either you take my virginity or I will find someone else. Through that connection it had opened him up to feel a real connection with someone else. Only big brother Daniel isn’t too happy with his baby sister being with someone like Graves.
“When do you want me? When can I have you?”


TAKEN BY HIM: For me this story lagged on the beginning. Peyton and Luke finding each other on a beach after Luke’s brush with death and Peyton needed a much needed vacation and to maybe have a fling. But it appeared that they were both afraid of what the other could posses for one another. Only to find out that they live in the same city and it all comes to ha head when Luke has a playboy style party in his penthouse. Peyton feels that she has been lied to and betrayed by Luke because he didn’t present himself in the way that best represented his life back home. Once they finally got over their differences and faced the fact of being together it was game over. I feel that yes you can fall head over heels for someone instantly. But after a weekend fling are you really ready to say I love you. To cut off your past like snapping your fingers. Poor Luke the smitten puppy.
“Holy shit, your pretty…”
“You’ve fallen hard for me, baby.”
“And if I admit it? What…will you do?”
“I’ll marry you. So o can call you Mrs. Preston and carry you around like another limb. So legally I can demand you to be there every night…so I can blow your sweet little anytime I want, fuck you anywhere I want…”


BOUND BY HIM: Andrew didn’t do the crime but he did the time. He did his best in order to protect Whitney, the love of his life from her abusive uncle once she was taken under his care when her parents died. Andrew didn’t know when if ever to tell Whitney why he was gone for so long. She waited for him until she could no longer wait. She fought against him once he entered back into her life. But unfortunately Whitney had been blackmailed by her own cousin because of the accidental crime Whitney committed and Andrew covered up. Like they’re tattoos, they are bound together forever.
“Welcome me the fuck home.”


KEPT BY HIM: Daniel and Monica have loved each other from a very young age. Monica had been scarred by parents double suicide to let a man love her let alone love a man and give him the power. So she sought out companionship through other men. While on a break with her current boyfriend she asks Daniel to help be be more intimate by asking him to sleep with her. “The become friends with benefits.” Only Daniel wants and needs more because he is madly in love with Monica and always has been. He had been the one to offer her comfort after her parents death, and she pushed him away. Only until she finds that her current boyfriend had an affair with her late mother does she come to her senses and see that she had been used by him for him to be once again close to her mother. Now the press and the paparazzi are having a field day that the Prince of the city may have thawed the Ice Maiden.
“If I stay, every single one of your employees out there will know I’m fucking you. I that what you want?”
“Are you jealous, Monica?”
“You seem to be mistaking me for one of your elderly lapdogs. I’m not a man to be ordered around, not even by you, but now that you’re making demands of me, then I’ll gladly issue some demands of my own. They keep falling until that once fateful day when they knew it had to end because of Ivy’s secret. Ivy has cancer. Of all things. Cade closed himself off for many years due to the death of his wife Laura, who had cancer. He couldn’t be there for her so how can he be there for anyone else. But once Cade saw a helpless Ivy in the hospital it ripped him anew. Ivy was what Cade needed. He has been reborn.

CLAIMED BY HIM – 3.5 stars

This is Graves and Chloe’s story. Chloe is Dylan’s little sister and a socialite herself. A virgin at 25, Chloe has already picked the man she wants to pop her cherry. However, Graves is a man of iron will and despite his burning need to touch Chloe, he resists.

Despite some over the top and cheesy parts, this story still brought on the flames and made me laugh. As it was my very first story by Red, I didn’t know what to expect, but still found myself entertained by the billionaire trope. After reading this, I knew I wanted more.



TAKEN BY HIM – 4 stars

Luke Preston made such an impression in the first story that I knew I was going to love his story. After surviving a brutal assassination attempt, Luke takes a vacation to Cancun to heal and regroup. Except he finds more trouble in the way of a sexy lady named Peyton Lane.

Just as I had expected, Luke’s story turned out to be one of my favorites. Brimming with passion and powerful love, this fun and sexy story made me remember why I love billionaire stories in the first place.

One thing I noticed about Garnier’s writing is that she is so readily able to change her voice to suit the story and characters. The first story is more reserved and focused on the sexual tension because Graves is a very restrained guy. On the other hand, Luke is the playful joker of the bunch and Garnier really plays with that in this story. I LOVED that!



BOUND BY HIM – 3.5 stars

Andrew Fairchild has returned home but instead of finding open arms, he finds a bitter Whitney who isn’t happy about him being gone for so long. In an attempt to soft her up again, Danny lays on the charm and the seduction, creating a very sexy story that I gobbled up.

Whitney has had a dark past and though it adds some depth to her character, I also found that the length of the novella was too short to really explore her background in the way I would have liked. However, nevertheless, Garnier once again adapts to create a convincing romance that I enjoyed reading.



KEPT BY HIM – 4 stars

When meeting Daniel in the first story, I was very excited to read about him. Named The Prince, Daniel’s actions are always the talk of the town, so when he and The Ice Maiden appear together, it makes news everywhere.

Monica has never had a orgasm during sex. Although she is passionate about her job, many see her as impersonal and therefore, she is called The Ice Maiden. However, Daniel Lexington knows there is nothing icy about the fiery goddess he takes to bed. A brief affair soon turns into something far more romantic for these two and I found that Daniel’s story became one of my favorites in this set.



BARED BY HIM – 4 stars

Another anticipated story is Cade West’s. We learn that his young wife died because of cancer and for ten years, Cade hasn’t slept with another woman, mourning her death for what seems like forever. It isn’t until Ivy Summers walks into his life, asking for a monetary donation for the charity she works for that Cade sparks to life again.

He gambles and when the game of poker soon leads to both of them naked and between the sheets, Cade is quickly realizing that this isn’t just a game to him anymore. This story is also one of my favorites. Combining heat and heart in an enticing mix, Garnier continues to astound me with her ability to create original, heartfelt stories with killer sex scenes.

It seemed that each story was hotter than the first, building like a fire that didn’t want to be put out. If this is any indication of Red Garnier’s writing, then I am glad that I found these books because I will definitely be checking out the upcoming releases when they come out.

Both passionate and intense, Garnier takes an overused trope and puts her own spin to it, creating delicious heroes that have all made it into my harem.

I thought the guys were sexy and the stories were short, hot and to the point. There is nothing like a young, rich, alpha male. I read these for an honest review on another site.
