I've always loved the written word. For as long as I can remember, I read as much as I could, as often as I could. Cereal boxes, newspapers, product packaging. Ebony, Essence, and Jet Magazine. Billboards. I loved it all. I read the entire Fear Street series, as well as the Sweet Valley Books, from Twins and Friends through Sweet Valley High. Each week I'd bring 15 or 20 books home from the library, and read them all before the due date.
Now, my mother owned a pristine, barely touched collection of Harlequin romance novels, and I was not to touch them under any circumstances. Well, as a teenager, you know what that meant. I read some of them, and got my first introduction to romance.
When I was sixteen, I picked up my stepmother's copy of Night Song, by Beverly Jenkins. The cover showed an obviously historical image of a black couple, against a beautiful backdrop, locked in a passionate embrace. With my love of history, I had to crack this book. What I read inside literally blew my mind. I was exposed to a wonderful, touching love story involving people who looked like me! What a thrill. To this day Night Song remains my favorite book, and I credit it with planting the seed of desire to write romance. I didn't get serious until many years later, but that's where it all began.
This was short but it was anything but sweet. It was nasty as hell and I ate it up. Soon as Talia said "my stud sense just tingled" I knew we were in for a ride.
Are you looking for something short, spicy, and wlw? This little novellete is the one you need. I’m a huuuuuge proponent of sharing is caring and I was not disappointed when I read this. This was an erotic adventure and I very much enjoyed the ride.
But most importantly, mature and respectful. I loved how Maya+Talia respected each other's boundaries and how Dez came into the mix and didn't feel like an unnecessary extra.
This was the first book I read by Kianna Alexander and I must say it was exactly what I needed to get me out of my reading slump. It was the perfect amount of spice and it left me wanting to know more about every character but I must say if I had to pick a favorite it would be Dez. Dez was gentle and caring but she also handled her business. While Talia was rough and about her business but ensured Maya’s comfort all through out. I say anyone who loves spice will definitely not be disappointed!
Short. Spicy. Full of sharing. This is the perfect read for if you catch yourself slipping into a slump or if you just want something quick and sexy. And it’ll go by so quickly that you’ll circle back for seconds, or thirds. 😉
I had to look around the room a few times to make sure nobody knew what I was reading LOL this is VERY spicy, but I loved every minute of reading it. Each word and page flowed together so perfectly and the dynamic between the women was unmatched. 100/10 ⭐️
Baby, listen… Maya assessed the vibes, and said… “por qué no los dos?”. It's a quick read, where the 'good girl's are plentiful and well-placed. Do yourself a favor and TAP IN.
("Please, I want some more.." Or whatever Oliver Twist and them said.)
4 stars. Whew! Maya is a lucky, lucky girl. Two studs, Dez and Talia, help her release some stress and it was sexy as hell. I wanted more by the end but this was such a quick and smutty read and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Short. Sweet. NASTYYYY. I enjoyed every minute of this. If you’re looking for a WLW story that’s heavy on the spice and gets to the point quick, this is for you!
“Hello, what happened to my name is?” 😂 They literally ring the door bell and get right down into the action, no foreplay here. It was short, sweet and… wet.👀
