Supernatural Bonds, Book Ten

One by one his coworkers have found love, but homicide detective Dylan Archer has no plans to retire his bachelor status. A past transgression has proven he’s not the commitment type. Yet even his job, and his current case tracking a potential serial killer, can’t take his mind off Seraphine. He burns for the beautiful witch, and when the case takes him to her door, long-denied emotions erupt in a conflagration of lust.

She’s his heartmate, whether he believes it or not. But to claim the future she represents, Dylan needs to confront his past. Quickly. Time is running out. He’s not the only one who wants Seraphine—the sultry witch is now in the killer’s sights.

Inside Witches, shifters, fae and even an ex-demon comingle in a case that takes the efforts of many. That’s a lot of supernaturals…which leads to lots of supernatural sex, including a small bit of male/male.

Dylan is really hard nosed about anti-woo woo stuff and of course Seraphine is a blood witch. He's not easy to like even with the background history. I did enjoy seeing the cast from previous books and their on-going roles in this series.

Homicide Det. Dylan Archer was in the process of wrapping up the particularly grisly murder of a U.S. Senator when the heartstone ring he wore literally knocked him off his feet the moment he met Seraphine Jordain, a so-called witch. The ring was a gift that supposedly would let him know when his heart mate came into his life. Of course Dylan didn’t believe in all that ‘woo-woo’ crap like his partner Det. Trace Dilessio does.

The detective would like nothing better than to get Seraphine and what she makes him feel off his mind. Unfortunately a whole new string of murders with magical implications makes his wishes moot. Bodies begin to stack up and passionate moments go hand in hand with Dylan’s days.

With a bad track record in relationships Dylan tries to shake free of any commitment, but his heart just isn’t in it. Seraphine is everything the detective could want in a mate. Looking for a break in the case becomes more dangerous for Dylan’s witch when the murderer has the redhead in their sights. Now, all bets are off.

A potent brew of scalding passion and bloody drama will keep readers glued to Dylan’s Witch. Author Jory Strong’s apparently limitless imagination flies free once more in the tenth Supernatural Bonds story. Dylan and Seraphine are literally lightening together. There’s just enough back story for new readers and fans will love to hear from old friends in this exciting story. Dylan’s Witch is a treat. Top notch entertainment throughout.

Dylan is tired of the supernatural crap, but it keeps invading his life. If he gives into his need for the witch, he will only get into it deeper, so he is determined never to give in. Still, he is on a slippery slope, sliding fast.

Seraphine knows Dylan is her future, but he is also stubborn. Time and circumstances will bring him back quicker, but the sacrifice for both of them may be more than either can give.

Lucifer’s blade is on the street and in the hands of someone unafraid to use it. Dylan and Seraphine must work together to retrieve it. For Dylan, it is because he is tied to it. For Seraphine, it is because she is determined to sever the link between the man she loves and the demon’s tied to it. As with anything in dark magic, there is a price, one Seraphine is required to pay. Will she sacrifice it all? And can Dylan ask her to?

Come along for the ride and have an experience of a lifetime. I love the writing of Ms. Strong and Dylan’s Witch is no exception. The characters are vivid, magical and leave the reader wanting to live among them. I warn readers new to the Supernatural Bonds series–you will be left scrambling to find the rest of the series. I highly recommend the story of Dylan and Seraphine as well as the writing of Ms. Strong.

Oh my! I am blushing a bit to write a review of this hot little supernatural erotica book by Jory Strong, who I had the pleasure of meeting at a writers conference in Sept. She knows how to get her readers to turn the pages til the end and then still want more. I gather that is why she has so many serials! Fun fast and did I mention hot read! And in addition, demon lords and witches and dragons? Suspenseful and rollicking fun.

Interesting installment in this series. I am admitting that I have quite a fascination with the Portal Demons and hope that one of them can star in a book of their own. It was good to see the entire group of folks back together and watch Dylan overcome his reluctance to the supernatural. I am also hopping that Strong writes the story of the heroine't twin sister...

Really quite good. The suspense was real this time, which left less room for the sex scenes, but the scenes that were there were well done. Much better than the previous 2-3 entries in this series. Looking forward to the next book.
