I was lead to believe this was a RH story but adding Esmer's POV made me re-think it. I really disliked that POV.

Radven is absent most of the book and Alastor is struggling with his feelings for Marigold.

And wtf was that cliffhanger.

I'm not sure if I'm continuing with this series because there is no development of Marigold's storyline. Who is trying to kill her? Vela? Vela minions? What about the curses? This is 3 books in when most storylines are gearing up and wrapping up. I understand this is a Kindle Vella series but how many seasons is needed?

So I definitely liked book 1-2 better than three. Those two sucked me right in. I also thought this was going down a RH line but now I think it’ll be three different love stories (unfortunately 😂😩)

This book is a lot of Esmer’s POV which I wasn’t expecting. I don’t usually enjoy this many POVs, but it’s ok. During this book there was Esmer’s POV, Oak’s, Marigold’s, Rad’s, and Alastor’s - but the first two seemed to take over a lot of the story.

Although I still enjoyed this - I’m debating on book 4

This book in the series lacked so much; depth of characters, vivid imagery, a memorable storyline, the list could go on. I’ve enjoyed the other books in the series even though the writing isn’t great, because the story has been interesting. I will finish the series out and read the last book as this could have been a bit of a filler. Everything that was covered in this book probably could’ve been done in less chapters with the same level of detail. I wish the author would’ve kept the length but really given us more from it all to truly feel engaged with the story. I’m looking hoping to see more overall in the next story. (Fingers crossed!)

I am still really enjoying this series, but it's starting to feel like it will go on forever. Marigold/Alastor's plot basically didn't move and we got essentially zero Radven. I loved all of the Esmer POVs, but that didn't quite make up for the fact that so little happened with Radven and Alastor.

I rated it 4 stars because it was still a ton of fun to read, but I am really hoping we get some more plot movement in the next book. It does not feel like we are 3 books in from a plot progression standpoint.

I enjoyed this book, only rated it a 3 because i took a break in the middle to read a book for book club so i kind of forgot some of the book. i do wanna say, i need alastor and marigold to get together asap. im tired of this chilling/cold feeling she keeps getting. like i want to experience her love for him and his love for her and this cold is blocking that. i did enjoy reading a little more about oak and esmer. i’m excited for the next book, better have my predictions come true!!

Definitely the weakest book in the series I’ve read so far. It felt more like filler than anything else. I get that Esmer and Oak’s story needed to be told, but I honestly wasn’t very interested in it—I was much more drawn to what was happening with Alistair and Marigold.
That said, I still have confidence the next book will be stronger. I really enjoyed the first two, so I’m treating this one as a “bridge book” to set things up for book four.

Esmer is a good SIDE character, but the book was largely her pov. I guess she got promoted to the main character. The last few chapters in the book are where anything actually started to progress, especially with Marigold. I loved the first two books, so I'm going to continue reading the series, but this book felt like filler.

The characters and their stories are evolving! I just can’t wait to see where it goes.
I wanted all the chapters to be with Radven but maybe next book 🤞🏼
This also has to be the spiciest book in series this far. 🔥😏

Oh this author is good at keeping me engaged and hungry for the next book. Spice picked up and so did all the drama and the story is good.
