It’s Robin versus Robin versus nightmare Robins? When the two Bat-brothers get taken into the Nightmare Realm, Jason Todd and Tim Drake must fight against their worst fears and each other as they’re forced to relive the darkest moments of their lives.
Tim Drake and Jason Todd fight their nightmares. So, you get a twofer in this one with the Robin(s) falling into the nightmare realm together and then getting separated.
It's ok. Pretty much what you'd expect but not in a bad way. Drake is reliving the death of his father while Insomnia taunts him about not being able to save anyone.
Meanwhile, Todd is being attacked by Red Hoods with crowbars while Insomnia cackles and tells him he's going to die.
By the end of this one, they look to be in rough shape but they're somehow able to break the dream barrier and talk to each other. Can they learn to trust each other? Yeah. So, on to the next issue.
funny how all of the batfamily knight terrors have Bruce dying in one way or another lol But anyway this one was great!! Loved Tim and Jason’s characterisation (so many writers get it all wrong I swear). Love me a lil bit of angst plus I pounce on all Tim and Jason interactions like a starved animal

Tim Wayne and Jason Wayne are in they're worst nightmares. Tim Wayne realizes that they can be hurt by Jason Wayne punching him. He tells Jason Wayne that they can be killed. Phenomenal artwork and writing.
2 of my fav characters but there was barely any plot?
i think they did a good job w/ tim's (losing his dad is definitely not gonna be his 'biggest fear'; one of his worst memories sure) the rest of the batfam turning on him was a nice touch and closer to what i think his greatest fear would be. i like that they emphasised his need to save everyone & fear that he won't be able to; it's a dream though & they defo could have made it trippier & more traumatic
totally dropped the ball w/ Jason's though; i'd imagine his biggest fears would be a combo of the joker, crowbars (which were there tbf), being rejected by Sheila (not her crying??? what even was that), Bruce & Alfred hating him, possibly being back w/ Willis or being unable to protect himself.
hope the second one gives us more of their dynamic & builds up on Tim's tendency to overwork himself & Jason's self imposed isolation as was hinted at the start.

every comic with tim drake facing his fears is when he realizes he actually does need help. in the robin: tim drake series he got captured and almost died until he stopped and got the help he needed. same with jason. theyre both refusing help and now they have to learn how to help each other. no bc jason and tim have always been awkward with each other bc tim is considered “the replacement” and tim has always been insecure about not being a good enough robin bc he asked to be robin, not chosen. always. excited for the next one :)
This was really good!!! I loved that they were trapped in their worst nightmares and the other was just there too. Like worst moments of your life here and oh yeah that guy is here too lol. But actually very gripping and strong. I really liked it!
