Superboy goes toe-to-toe with the hulking clone known as Infinity. Wielding abilities from species across the cosmos, Conner and his new friends, the Cosmoteers, will need to use every trick up their sleeves to defeat this monstrous threat. But when the dust finally settles, Conner’s alliance with the Cosmoteers might be no more!
The cycle of violence continues amidst Superboy's companions, as their inner pain bleeds out on destructive ways which clashes with Conner Kent's teachings. The parts are there for an interesting story as Conner's quest to find his own place reaches uncomfortable places, but there feels little to make this story stand out.
The art continues to carry a series that focuses on plot concepts that don't really interest me. The decision to take Superboy off Earth wasn't a good one, and the villains aren't memorable enough or the scenarios.
Ultimately, I'll collect the entire run to support the character in hopes DC uses Superboy in a more appealing way in the future.
The hints from last issue about Travv’s intentions come to a head. You really feel for superboy here as things play out and I’m still surprised at how visceral this series can be at times.
Still loving the writing and this “coming of age” journey for superboy, and the art and action remain superb. Looking forward to issue 5.
Betrayal comes quick and brutal. Superboy learns even if others are like him doesn't mean they are to be trusted. The Green Lantern tries to make good on fixing things but that never works out well. We're left with a shitty situation for the boy of steel.
The story is climaxing and Conner is moving on to the right path. However Kelex had the right question. Why did it take 2 weeks to notice Superboy was missing?
