If you're looking for a story about a sweet, innocent virgin who rides off into the sunset with a reformed bad boy, then you're looking in the wrong place.
Some people don’t get a happily ever after. Molly Scott is one of those people, and she knows it. With the kind of past that she has, and the secrets that she holds, she knows that even if she found Prince Charming, he wouldn’t want her. She refuses to dwell on her less than ideal situation though. This is her life, no point in complaining.
Logan Wade had his life planned out, until all his dreams came crashing down around him. Now, he’s come back to the town he swore he would never see again to start fresh. He has no plans to ever settle down again, that’s how he ended up back here in the first place.
When Molly and Logan meet, they are forced to rethink the lives they thought they knew and the futures they were so sure they wanted. Suddenly, Molly wonders if there is a better life outside of the hell she has built for herself, and Logan begins to rethink his resistance towards settling down again.
They say love conquers all, but Molly and Logan are about to find out that sometimes love just isn’t enough.
K.B. Webb is an Amazon bestselling author. She lives in a small Louisiana town with her husband, two daughters, and crazy dog. She stays home during the day being a full time mom and spends her nights writing. When she's not writing or chasing after two kids, she loves to read, cook, and watch Grey's Anatomy reruns.
Molly’s life isn’t full of rainbows or unicorns. She’s trapped with a boyfriend, she doesn’t love but loathe. A man that’s more interested in drinking, smoking weed and ‘meeting’ with different women, than taking care of Molly and their newborn daughter.
Every day with Brian is a day filled with humillation, abuse and fear. I couldn’t understand why Molly was living with him and putting up with Brian’s shit. I would kick his ass, without a second thought. But yet Molly is hiding her bruises, covering them and pretending everything is okay, while Brian fucked girl after girl.
Logan is Brian’s friend from childhood. They didn’t see each other in years, but when Logan came back to his hometown, there is no way of avoiding their meeting. But Logan didn’t expect, that he will fall in love with his friend girlfriend and that Brian is a abusive.
While, Molly is taking care of her baby and avoiding Brian’s wrath, she and Logan start to develop feelings that go beyond frienship.
Can Molly finally say no to Brian? Can she let go of the abuse and find her real Prince Charming?
Reflect Me is a debut novel by K. B Webb that caught my attention, because of the first sentence in the blurb „If you're looking for a story about a sweet, innocent virgin who rides off into the sunset with a reformed bad boy, then you're looking in the wrong place”, after that I needed to read it. As true as this sentence is, Reflect Me was nothing I expected it to be. After I finished reading, my head was spinning with the question: „Did I read the right book?” Cause it definitely didn’t match my expectations.
Overall, Reflect me was not bad, I can’t say that, but it was not knock-your-socks-off-sweep-me-off-my-feet kind off deal. Still, it had great parts, that made me ejnoy it and crossing my fingers for Molly, the main character, that totally should find her happily ever after. Logan was sweet and caring, which was everything Molly and her daughter needed. I really liked his protective side.

Reflect Me was a very good, very hard and very intense read. Very good because Molly and Logan are such likeable characters. Very hard because of the abuse Molly suffers and puts herself through. Very intense with the interactions of all the characters. I found myself on a few occasions having to get up and walk away for a minute because I would get so drawn into the story that I would cry, hold my breath and be so tense, I had to move around. I feel so much for Molly, she is so young to have already been through so much. More than anything a person should be put through. I am really glad her mother didn't play a major character through the story because she really just pissed me off to the point I wanted to rip her head off. Sorry for the rant!! Logan took my heart right away. I was rooting for him immediately to win Molly over. I have never met a guy that sweet before. To me, it seemed that his life growing up didn't hurt him like it could have. Thank goodness because Molly needed someone like him to come around. I enjoyed this story very much and was given a copy for an honest review. Bring on the next K.B. Webb, I am waiting.
I loved the honesty and reality of the story. It was a powerful book with believable characters and I can't wait to read what's next from this talented author. Damn good job K.B.!!! Keep that shit up! Xo
I was fortunate enough to be a beta-reader for this book and I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!!!! I was hooked from the very beginning to the last page, and then I did not want it to end. It really is a great story that I totally lost myself in. The author pulls you right in and makes you feel a part of all that is happening. One minute you will be cheering for the good guys and the next getting angry at the not so nice guys in the story. This book is totally amazing and will stay with you long after you finish it. I highly recommend you pick it up and read it once it is published!!
This is a really beautifully written story. I sat and read this in one afternoon. Nothing was gonna make me put this book down until it was finished.
My heart broke for Molly. I couldn't read this quick enough to read what her story was. The physical and mental abuse she received was appalling. I loved Logan. I was so hoping these two would get their happy ever after. I had goosebumps reading this book.
Although this book is part of a series this doesn't end in a cliffhanger. I highly recommend this great read.
WOW Logan is super sexy and so damn sweet. Love him btw. I want me a Logan. :)
Logan and Molly's relationship starts off as friends but you can see the true soul connection between them. I love how Logan takes to Molly's daughter even though she isn't his, but he treats her like his own. I love Molly standing up for herself. Girl power I say, Go Molly. Simply a fantastic story and its well worth the read. I would recommend it. Looking forward to Lucas and Dani's story.
Reading Reflect Me really made me angry. I really did not like this book. I am going to try to not be so harsh with this review, but I don't know if that will work. This will probably become a rant, maybe some harsh language, and spoilers to boot. There are a few things about the ending that I just...yeah. Yeah I have given myself a few days to try and not be so ahh! about this book before writing this review, but I don't know that it is helping...
So the book starts off with Molly giving birth to Lyric, her daughter with Brian. Brian is horrible, doesn't care about either of them, and abuses Molly. Well he is always putting her down, and he hit her, but it is like Molly lets him. Not in an abused woman is beaten down and can't escape lets him, but in a eh I don't really care sure you can beat me lets him. Molly says once and a while about how horrible she is and how no good guy would ever want her, but then she doesn't back up these thoughts with her actions. She is supposed to be this broken girl, but she isn't. She is strong and doesn't hesitate to get into a fight with anyone else, defending herself to everyone except Brian for no reason I could see except she says she deserves Brian. Okay. When Logan says something about Brian she instantly defends him, she never once seems like she cares that Brian beats her, except she does keep her bruises hidden as she does know it is wrong, but just doesn't care. She allows the abuse to happen, but not because she is a broken woman and can't escape, just because she doesn't seem to care about that it is happening.
So one day Logan, Brian's long lost friend, comes to visit. Molly and Logan are instantly attracted to each other and Logan instantly falls in love with Lyric also. It was not really believable, but whatever. I didn't even care because the Brian storyline made me so angry. So with Molly liking Logan, and even admitting she hates Brian, doesn't love him at all, was just whatever. So why does Molly stay with Brian? Not because she is a battered woman and can't leave. No, she wants to give her daughter a stable loving home, one with two parents. Sure. That will happen with Brian since he does not care about either of them! That is just what her daughter needs, an abusive father figure! Win win win. Everyone will be happy, especially if he starts abusing the daughter as well. Who wouldn't want to grow up in such a home...it is just like seriously Molly? You seriously think keeping Brian around would be better than raising your daughter yourself? Seriously? I know you are not that stupid. She goes on about how she doesn't want her daughter to have the same horrible upbringing as she had, even though her childhood didn't seem very horrible. Sure her dad is not there, her mom only pops in once and a while to try and get money, but she does have a stable, loving home with her grandfather. Molly says at one point that he was everything to her, her mom and dad and best friend and everything. So she had a loving, stable home. But still that was some horrible upbringing. Sure it wouldn't be easy to have your mom not care about you, but geeze you have it better than most people, yet you act like you have had the hardest life ever. Did not like. So because of this horrible upbringing she let's Brian stick around, going out drinking all the time, doing drugs, and sleeping with every random girl he can and somehow that is going to provide a better home for her daughter than she had. Ha ha ha. Seriously.
Then suddenly Molly starts thinking that maybe she shouldn't let Brian beat her. After hanging out with Logan one night he tells her she is stronger than she thinks, which she acts like she knows already, and suddenly she will not let Brian beat her anymore. He gets to keep living with them for the above mentioned idiotic reasons, but he can't hit her anymore. He is a little upset, but doesn't really do anything, not like I would imagine a real abusive guy would. Yes, he is mentally and physically abusive, but he doesn't really act like an abuser. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I don't believe that someone who is an abuser will just let the abused be all nope, not going to happen anymore and then they don't do anything about it. Yep, because that is why it is so easy to leave your abusive significant other. I mean women can just walk out and move on with their life no problem. This is why this book made me so angry. It wasn't like the characters were actually what they kept telling me they were. It made it seem like it is oh so easy to stop the abuse if you are the abused. It is not. It is not...it just makes me angry. It is very difficult for someone to leave a situation like this, and often times the women know the man will kill them if they try to leave. They live in fear of their abuser, but by that point don't really have many options for ways to get out of the situation. It is a horrible situation and it is not that easy to just find that magical someone to make you realize you are great and then stop the abuse. It just....it angers me.
So Molly keeps letting Brian live with her, and one night he does beat her up again. Does Molly do anything? Nope, not until she learns that he knocked up some other girl. Then she gets pissed at the girl and tries to hurt her, then kicks Brian out finally. That easy. Brian does say like this is not over, you are mine blah blah blah, but then for almost the entire rest of the book you don't see him again. So Logan and Molly get together instantly once she kicks Brian out and it was fine. Better than the beginning. You do learn the other oh so horrible thing that happened to Molly. She blames herself for her first boyfriends death. Well they got together in high school and cheated on each other all the time, then she got pregnant (side note - she gets accidentally pregnant twice in not very many years? She need to learn how to properly use birth control because she is doing something wrong) and so yey. Then one day she goes to the doctor with guys brother and finds out she lost the baby. She is distraught and the brother helps comfort her until the guy gets home, only to have the guy come home drunk and find them in bed hugging. He flips out and is all you are sleeping with my brother! and goes to leave. Brother physically tries to stop him from leaving but can't and he drives off and dies in an accident because he was drunk. So obviously that is all Molly's fault...I really don't understand why she thinks it is. They tried to stop him, but couldn't so....anyways that is her horrible past. I really do love books with characters with horrible pasts, but this is not bad. I just....I just really hated Molly. She is an idiot and lets someone abuse her because she thinks she deserves it, not because she is broken from the abuse.
The other thing with the abuse? Everyone in this town, where she works, etc loves Molly. She is the bestest ever to them. Yet no one, not one single person, says anything about her relationship with Brian. No one ever steps up to try and stop the abuse. Why? Well they don't have concrete evidence, except Logan did. He saw the bruises, he was raised in an abusive household, yet he still is all I don't have any evidence even though I just said those bruises were not from falling or whatever Molly said they were from. Nope, no evidence whatsoever. It was ridiculous. Not one person steps up.
Anyways so things are going okay then we get to the end. Brian comes back all caricature villain not believable crazy trying to kill Molly. Apparently when she kicked Brian out no one was worried that he would ever try and come back. They never changed the locks or even move the spare key! I say she really was a battered woman. I mean most people who get out of abused relationships are not worried about the abuser finding them again.....argh! So they don't change the locks or anything because...well that would just make sense. She has her daughter, knows this guy is kind of crazy, he makes some threats and has been calling and not saying anything, but yet it is just like whatever. We should just let him be able to get in whenever he wants. Maybe while they are sleeping? Maybe he could hurt the daughter? Sure why not. I mean he is not that bad so no worries there...So when he goes in the house when no one is there and turns on all the lights what do the boys do? Leave Molly alone. Of course. Makes sense. Better to just let her stay by herself than be safe and have someone stay with her. It was just ridiculous.
Overall I hated this book. It made it seem like it is oh so easy to end an abusive relationship. That and Molly wasn't really a broken down abused woman. She just let Brian abuse her. It just made me angry.

Review: Reflect Me was a good book. It was a hard and a wonderful read. It was good because Molly and Logan are such wonderful characters. It was a hard read because of the abuse Molly suffers and puts herself through. I found myself on a few occasions having to get up and walk away for a minute because I would get so drawn into the story that I would cry. I feel bad for Molly; she is young and has been through a lot. More than older people. I am really glad her mother didn't play a major role in the story because she was not good to Molly. Nobody wants a parent like her. Logan was an awesome guy. I was rooting for him to win Molly. I have never met a guy that sweet. Molly needed a guy like Logan in her life. I loved this story and was given a copy from Ashley’s Reading Bliss for an honest review. K.B Webb did a wonderful job in writing this story and I would totally recommend it to others. I think all of my reading buddies would love this story. I give it an A+!!!
Damn! Yes, I said damn! This book is nothing like I thought nope it was so much better. It has everything in it from romance to WTF moments.
When we first start our story I'll admit I was like 'seriously' she just let him talk like that to her and of all days THAT day. Talk about heartless and selfish. I felt for Molly but at the same time I didn't. Cause you can tell she's just sitting and bidding her time and then she'll explode like a volcano. She has a fire about her that gets rekindle when she lays eyes on her daughter.
That fire gets brighter and stronger when she meets Logan. He just has a way of giving her that push she needs to stick up for herself. Now as to why she felt she needed to punish herself by staying in a abusive relationship, I'll never quite understand. I know she felt guilty for what had happened with Colt but she didn't deserve that type of future. Especially with her daughter around.
As the story continues we have a lot of events that happen from fights to threats to first dances. Its action packed there's never a dull moment throughout the whole book. I even cried at certain moments throughout the book.
Overall this is a fast paced story filled with lots and lots of drama. But its a great story. I wouldn't mind reading other books based on the other characters in the story.
I had the privilege of reading a ARC of Reflect Me. Fantastic debut novel by K.B Webb. Heartwarming and emotional. You immediately get sucked into the story.
Molly's life isn't easy in more ways than one. Her daughter Lyric is her world and she wants to be the best mother she can be. Molly's past still haunts her, she needs to learn to be the strong women she used to be and believe in herself. With only a few friend's she doesn't let her guard down that's until she meets Logan.
Logan hasn't had a easy past past either. The minute he lays eyes on Molly he knows there's something about her. He instantly loves Lyric like his own. He asks Molly to trust him, to open up and let him be her friend.
As their relationship grows you see how much they love each other and want to grow not only as individuals but as one. Can their love conquer all?
Well where to start......... One word to describe this book would be REAL! It grabs you right from the very first paragraph And doesn't let go till the end. This book has real attitude and I loved it.(it's so me)I really liked the back and forth POV. It gives a bit more into their lives then just a one sided story. It's one of those books that you'll think about for awhile. True raw emotion! Very well done, K. B. Webb. It's a must read to all!
I received an ARC of this book and you have to read it. It only takes one person to knock you down and make you feel worthless but then it only takes the friendship, caring and unconditional love to build you back up. I want a Logan, he is sweet, strong and supportive.
Reflect Me is the debut novel for Webb and I must say an awesome start. I will be looking forward to reading many more titles from this new indie author. Reflect Me is an emotional read that deals with domestic violence, loss, love, guilt, and so very much more. I will openly admit there were times when the tears were flowing and several times I felt the desire to kick some ass.
Molly is a new mommy to a beautiful daughter, Lyric. Lyric’s dad, more accurately sperm-donor, Brian is a real piece of work. He is an abusive cheater… there are several more words I can use to describe him, but I am hoping that I won’t have to COMPLETELY edit this review for Amazon so I will let you use your imaginations. Justin and Wynee are bffs with Brian and Molly. Wynee is amazing! I absolutely adored her and her rules.
“Rule number one in the Wynee Williams handbook of life, don’t be friends with weak bitches. So, grow a pair, go punch tits for brains in the face, and claim your man, or I’m defriending you in real life and on Facebook.”
Those little snippets of wisdom are scattered throughout the story and take some of the sting out of the seriousness of the scene. The author definitely did a good job of balancing the hard-hitting subject matter with light-hearted banter and snarky remarks from her characters. I typically don’t find myself connecting with female characters in books that have a decent support system available and don’t choose to let them help, but with Molly I couldn’t help rooting for her. She is so hurt and so lost that it was hard not to like her. (Did I mention Brian is a real douche? No? Well, he is.) There are moments throughout the story where she completely shines through as the strong independent woman you know is hiding in there somewhere and it’s those moments that make you fist-pump and do a little “That’s what I’m talkin’ about!”
“Because right now, the idea of you spending months in jail being someone’s bitch sounds like a fucking Christmas present to me.”
Webb did a great job of showing the ugly parts of domestic violence and how it can impact not only the people involved, but also the people that love them. I know you are like, “Whore, what about hotty book boyfriend types?” There is absolutely a hot man-cake in this book- Logan. *Swoon* He is like a knight in shining armor and Prince Charming all in one. He is so caring and gentle with Molly’s fragile heart, he never rushes her to be more than just friends and is satisfied going at her own pace. Not to mention the fact that he is instantly in love with her daughter, Lyric.
He does what he can to help Molly in all the ways Brian doesn’t even when he is stuck in the friend-zone while the d-bag gets to claim Molly as his. Logan melted my heart over and over again with how sweet he was with Lyric and Molls. Webb surprised me when I realized she took on a male POV, very brave for a debut novel and it paid off.
“If her life was the story of the three little pigs, I would be that brick-fucking house that kept her safe from that stupid, dickhead wolf. Except, right at that moment, every brick in the damn house wanted to break every bone in that piece of shit wolf’s body.”
Love, love, love Logan.
Overall, this book is a strong debut from KB Webb. It gets a full five stars for storyline and while the focus isn’t on smutty parts in this book, the parts that are steamy get 4 wet panties!
This story is one that many women will relate to and I hope that for anyone who is in a bad place that they will take away the hope and strength that Molly’s character shows as she grows from the weak, scaredy cat into the woman that will do anything and everything to ensure a better life for both herself and her daughter. No woman should allow a man to lay his hands on her for any reason. If you or someone you know is a victim of domestic violence please know that you are not alone. There are people out there who want to help you. Be brave and remember that you do not deserve that kind of life. If you think someone you care about is being hurt… don’t ignore the warning signs, ask them, be nosy, and show them you care.

First, a warning: this is a story of a young mother who is dealing with, and surviving, domestic violence at the hands of her boyfriend (her infant daughter’s father). If this kind of story bothers you, it would be best to move on. While not graphic in its physical descriptions of the abuse, emotional abuse is just as raw.
“No one fucking loves you, Molly, and no one ever will. You’re destined to die alone, because that’s what girls like you deserve.”
I’ll admit, based on the blurb provided by the author, I was setting myself up for an ugly cry, but in the end, I was left with the hint of a smile and the hopes that Molly, our heroine, would finally get the happily ever after she deserved. Unfortunately, Molly’s situation gets worse before it gets better, however like most things, the pain makes the pleasure all the sweeter. Throughout the book we see Molly not only become more self-assured, but more mature as well. Ms. Webb did an excellent job of developing her characters. I definitely felt anger towards Brian, our antagonist, and I felt Molly’s pain. While Molly was indeed a victim, she did not dwell on her past. She recognized that her relationship with Brian was not only unsalvageable, but was the result of hasty decisions in the wake of tragedy. She did not regret her relationship with her abuser, for she understood that out of the ashes of this failed, toxic relationship, came the greatest gift she had ever been given, her daughter.
“I had wondered for too damn long what those lips felt like, tasted like, and I finally had to know for myself.”
The first half of the book was a bit slow; however I think a lot of that was due to the need to go into Molly’s back-story, and how everything in her past affects her in the present. There were times where I wish that Molly had developed more of a backbone a little earlier in the story, however the love and support of her friends made her lack of confidence a little easier to deal with. The shared history of the core group of friends was believable and the stories they recounted of growing up were funny and helped lighten the mood of the book.
“I love you, Molly Scott. To the moon and back. Forever and always.”
Molly’s devotion to her daughter was encouraging. All too often it seems that we, older adults, are very quick to discount the relationships of young adults, as well as second-guess their parenting skills. Molly, after deciding she was done with the abuse, was hesitant to rush into another relationship. Due to her history, she has the need to be loved, and she easily could have fallen into the trap of falling hard for the next guy that came along. Of course, having a young child, she must start making decisions not only for her welfare but for her daughter Lyric, as well. It was refreshing to see a young adult not only take responsibility for her choices, but to learn from them and keep herself from repeating those same mistakes. Logan’s acceptance of her daughter was not only admirable, but encouraging as well. It would be difficult to have a constant reminder of your girlfriend’s failed, abusive relationship, but you could see that Logan was ready and willing to rise to the challenge.
“I’m always going to be a little fucked up, and I will probably fuck up a lot more, but I want this. I want you, Logan. More than anything.”
This book didn’t completely knock my socks off; I would say it is a solid 3 ½ stars, however I am going to round up because I think this series has a lot of potential. The dynamic of a group of lifelong friends is easily going to make for a greater exploration of the characters, and hopefully Ms. Webb will continue to check in on Molly and Logan’s relationship. Reflect Me was well written. There were minor typos, or words omitted here and there, but we all know spell check isn’t perfect. There was nothing that detracted from the story itself. This was definitely a solid novel for a freshman effort, and I look forward to the next installment of the Reflect Me series.

A quick side-note before I start my review… I love a book that references music! and when the book references great 90s music? Oh yeah, sign me up! Pearl Jam, Hootie & the Blowfish, Del Amitri, Train and many more!!... Good Stuff!
Thoughts: This is the debut novel for K.B. Webb and her characters and storyline caught my attention from the first chapter. In fact, I have already received book 2 from the author and have loaded it to my Kindle and cannot wait to start it!
Reflect Me was a raw, rough and realistic story, sometimes too real, told from his and her points of view. As a reader, I prefer this writing style. I love to have insight into both characters and what they're thinking. This is a new adult read, which is not my first choice of genre, but to me these characters and their tough life experiences gave them a maturity that drew me in. I simply could NOT put this book down!
We start the story with a beat down version of Molly. She is just trying to survive. She’s still reeling from the loss of her first love. Now saddled with an emotional and physically abusive boyfriend because she thinks that a home with both parents is what she needs to give her daughter. She meets Logan when he returns to Monroe and through his strength and friendship begins to see that she doesn’t have to just survive; she can make better choices and truly live. It was great to see Molly find herself again, to discover her backbone and her strength over and over again through this book. Even at the last few pages she pushed through again and followed her heart to get back what she had mistakenly pushed away… I am a sucker for a Happily Ever After! And if any two characters deserved one, it’s Molly and Logan!!
Logan and the other supporting characters in this story – Wynee, Justin, Lucas, Ryan… they are a self-made family to each other and if Reflect Me is any indication they will also have great stories for us to read. Follow You Down is Lucas and Dani’s story, it's already released and available. I will be starting that today! And Heartbreak Warfare is Ryan’s story. Expected to be out October 24th – I have marked my calendar!!
Molly is a new mom. Her daughter Lyric is the light of her life. It’s everything else in her life that hovers over her like dark clouds. She is not in love with Lyrics father, Brian. He is abusive, mean and manipulative. He didn’t want a baby and his feelings haven’t changed since Lyric was born. It is a sad situation. He lives in Molly’s house and uses the money that she makes to buy alcohol and drugs. He is completely worthless. What’s worse is that he has convinced Molly that she is the worthless one. Will a new friend help her to see her true value? Will he steal her heart as well?
Logan is back after leaving town and all the negative associated with it behind. He works construction and lives with his older brother who is his father figure as well. After a failed engagement and a broken heart his brother had forced him to return home to straighten his life out. What he didn’t expect however, was his immediate attraction to his old friend’s girlfriend. He didn’t expect to feel protective of her because of Brian’s awful treatment of his girlfriend and the mother of his beautiful baby girl.
Molly is protective of her heart and is reluctant to let new people in. Logan however is not taking no for an answer. He lays it out there for her and promises to be a good friend and always be there for her. The two get to know each other and build a bond while fighting to ignore their attraction to the other.
“This could be either an amazing friendship or a fucking disaster. I had spent the last four years of my life locked inside myself, not ever really letting anyone in. I was a scared little girl deep down who just didn’t want to handle any more let downs. But, if this friendship could really work, it would be beautiful. So for the first time in four years, I decided to take a chance on something and just pray things worked out like they should.”
With her friends by her side, and her feelings for Logan giving her new strength and making her want to be a better version of herself, Molly takes a stand to set her life straight. Step number one is shaking off Brian and his abusive ways.
Brian is used to the Molly he can push around and manipulate. He likes the Molly who gives him money so he can be lazy and stay supplied with drugs and alcohol. He also isn’t thrilled with the new relationship between Logan and Molly. With his only source of money being removed and his pride hurt, what kind of problems will Brian cause for Molly? Will she be strong enough to stand up for herself and fight for the life she wants? Will her relationship with Logan survive?
I liked this story and read it quickly. Logan had all the qualities that made him a swoon worthy book boyfriend. He was smart, sexy, thoughtful, protective and great with Molly’s baby girl. I had a little bit of a hard time with Molly. I dislike self-deprecation and Molly was the queen of self-deprecating behavior. I also found her thoughts and actions inconsistent at times. These issues weren’t enough to take away from the story and I really did enjoy it! I would definitely read another book by K.B. Webb.
An ARC was kindly provided by the author for an honest review.
I don’t know why my past few reads are about abusive relationships… it’s awfully draining. I mean – why do these amazing girls stay with men who clearly can’t see their worth? Is it love? Is it sex? Is it the sense of belongingness? Or are they just trapped in the cycle?
What made me read Reflect Me: 1) The cover – it’s always the cover that lures me first to read the book (petty, right?) but look at it and tell me if it’s not pretty!!! 2) The blurb – it promises readers something new and different, something to look forward to after books with similar plots – perhaps something fresh.
Molly Scott has a lot of secrets – not just from the past, in the present as well. She lives with Brian, her abusive boyfriend, who got her pregnant. Not really your type of story right? I thought so too because I can’t comprehend why a girl would stay with a boy just because he got her pregnant. It was like she was resigned to her fate – she was no longer dreaming of her prince charming who would sweep her off her feet. With the kind of past that she had, and with a daughter right now – who would have wanted her?? You would have hated Molly when she was a push over, but when she finally starts to fight – it was a sight so beautiful, I was astounded!
Then Logan came into the picture – he had his life planned out. He was about to get married to a girl he loved, and then suddenly, he had nothing. He decided to come back home and start fresh. No plans of getting into a relationship, until he set his eyes on his buddy’s girlfriend, Molly.
It started with friendship, they knew they had the hots for each other, but no one stepped in the line. They respected each other’s lives, and privacy. And no matter how Logan hated it – he respected Molly and Brian’s relationship (well, until he knew of the abuse). But, he remained friends with Molly, coming into her work, and even playing with Lyric (I love the name, by the way!).
Both characters deserve their shares of happy endings, but it was a long way to go. Molly and Logan had issues from their past that they have to deal with. Molly was still living with the father of her daughter. Everything was complicated – but both made it work.
My heart goes to the secondary characters as well, especially Wynee and Justin who became Molly’s family and was ready anytime that she will ask for help. They respected her decision, and waited for the right time to intervene. They didn’t push her, but reminded her often that they were always there for her.
KB Webb made a nice novel for her first work. It wasn’t something that you’d have a ready-tissue-beside-you type of novel, but it was okay. I enjoyed most parts, especially when Molly finally had some guts. I hope it will inspire women who are in a bad relationship right now. It may take a lot of effort, but never let a man treat you like trash. You deserve better.

This book was AMAZING from start to finish. It captured my attention and held onto it. This is REAL life people. Reflect Me tells a story that so many people live through and some don’t make it out alive. K.B. Webb did a fantastic job telling her story.
I loved Molly, even when her insecurities were showing, she was one tough Cookie when she needed to be. Her friends were great, every girl needs a best friend like Wynee and men who look to protect her like a sister.
Brian. I NEVER ONCE LIKED YOU ONE TEENY TINY BIT! YOU SUCK!!!
Logan. I loved from the first page he was introduced on and he is definitely book boyfriend worthy. The support and love he showed Molly through everything was exactly what she needed and he is one hell of a man.
All in all this is a fantastic, easy, read that will capture you from page one and hold onto you until the very end. I can’t wait to read about Lucas and Dani.
I give Reflect Me 5 AMAZING STARS
I absolutely LOVED Reflect Me. K.A. Webb did an amazing job writing Molly and Logan’s story.
Molly has a past, and that past has made her think that she is not worthy of her happily ever after. She settles. For Brian. She thinks because she has a child with him that she needs to stay. Im not saying that she’s week. She has just lost a little bit of herself and it takes an amazing person to bring her back. Molly is a strong woman for what she went through with Brian. People don’t realize that scars just dont come from physical abuse but sometimes they are worse when their emotional scars. Molly has them. Not only from Brian but from her past as well.
Brian, what can I say about him….. Well I hate him. He is the worst possible guy out there. He was lucky when he got Molly only to become a jackass and mess it up. In the end, he got what he deserved.
Logan… now here is a man I can write about. He was amazing. The first moment he meet Molly he knew there was something special there and never gave up. He was strong and supportive when she needed it most. And most of all he loved Lyric with all his heart, knowing that she was someone else’s child.
Everyone deserves a love like Logan and Molly. Their one true happily ever after. <3
Since I can’t give more the 5 stars ( I would love to give it WAY MORE) I will give it 5 HUMONGOUS AMAZING STARS
Another book that proves self-publishing is not a good thing. There is a reason it's hard to get picked up by an actual publishing house: they don't want to produce crap (excluding Random House. I've lost all respect for them as they will print garbage for the sake of money).
This centers around a girl living with her abusive boyfriend and her daughter. Her douchey boyfriend's old friend comes into town and IMMEDIATELY falls in love. Love at first sight. Despite still grieving from the loss of a fiance and never going for her type, he wants her.
Right.
Anyway, they form a bond while everyone around them ignores that she's being beaten down by her boyfriend. Eventually she stands up for herself and lets him go after she finds out he knocked up the town skank. Naturally the most perfect guy ever steps in, takes on the role of daddy, and all is well. More drama ensues, but by that point I didn't care.
Okay, let me start by saying I love angst! I live for it. The angstier the better, but this just annoyed me. As a reader, I should have felt for Molly but I honestly didn't like anything about her. She was supposedly fierce before she met Brian, but then let him walk all over her. She let him get away with verbal abuse and physical violence. Yet, when dream dude tells her it's not cool, she suddenly gets an insta-backbone. If the author wanted realism, I didn't buy the scenario at all. Her personality didn't match the plot. Not to mention, she later punches another female in the face. It's hard for me to believe someone capable of assaulting someone else in such a short time wouldn't have tried to fight a violent boyfriend.
In addition to that, her small town just loves her - adores her even - yet doesn't do anything with regards to her abuse. EVERYONE suspects something, including her best friend and father figure, but nobody does anything about it. The reasoning stemmed from "lack of proof" yet there was evidence all over her body. So the town is filled with morons.
Awesome.
Let's discuss dream boy now as he is a fundamental character. You've already imagined him: tall, dark features, gorgeous abs, perfect face, strong arms, and jumbo penis; insta-daddy, too. That's right, this twenty-something guy immediately wants to father the child of another man the second he meets this chick. She is curvy, mousy, and not his type, but he loves her.
...
This whole plain girl gets the most perfect guy ever is making me roll my eyes. Come on! I will not continue this train of thought as it's not nice. I'm better off moving on.
The grammar and writing style left a lot to be desired and, frankly, it was written like fanfiction. If this book wasn't free, I might have asked for my money back.
Molly is a girl who was dealt a crappy hand. After a series of events that shaped her past, Molly is stuck in a relationship that she doesn’t want to be in, with a baby she needs to protect. She feels like she doesn’t deserve to be happy so she makes no effort to leave her arrogant freeloading boyfriend Brian. Her best friend Wynee knows she unhappy and tries to get Molly to open up about what’s going on, but with her past Molly doesn’t truly trust anyone including her best friend since she was 2 years old.
Logan moves back home after to get his head on straight his fiancée ends their engagement. After he’s been hiding out at his brother’s place for the past month he runs into his old friends Brian and Justin and is invites to stop by Brian’s and Molly’s Place. He finally breaks down and goes to visit Brian even though he didn’t really want to but the moment he sees Molly his is happy that he made the effort.
Both Logan and Molly feel the attraction between them but Brian stands in their way and Molly will do anything to keep her baby girl safe. Logan decides to spend more time with Molly and her daughter Lyric getting to know them better that’s when he starts to notice how bad Brian is treating Molly. This doesn’t sit well with Logan and when he asks Molly about it, she brushes off his concerns until Brian make the biggest mistake pushing her over the edge. After a confrontation with Brian in front of Wynee, Justin and Logan, Brian abuses and infidelity is revealed. This revelation changes Logan and Molly’s relationship but Brian won’t give Molly up easily.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review. This is the first book I read by K. B. Webb and it had me hooked in the first chapter. I wanted to know what Brian was up to and why Molly put up with all the crap she did. I loved how she is a strong woman but needed just a little encouragement to let her true self-shine. Logan is the guy every girl wants to have, good looks, hot body and patience’s of a saint. He gets what Molly is going through and doesn’t judge her if she makes the wrong decision. He is always encouraging her and never asking her to be anyone but herself. The love and connection Logan has with Lyric will melt your heart. This book kept me wanting more, not just more Logan but I needed to know what was going to happen between Brian and Molly too. K. B. Webb delivered an amazing love story with the right amount of anticipation throughout the story. I would highly recommend this book to my friends and fellow readers and I’m looking forward to reading the second book in the series Follow You Down.

Reflect me is a very good intense read. Molly is a lonely, troubled girl. She is trapped in a relationship with Brian who she hates. He treats her appallingly. He drinks a lot of the time, smokes weed and meets other women behind her back continuously. Brian doesn't just emotionally abuse Molly, but he also physical abuses her aswell. Molly just accepts this is her life as her and Brian have a new born daughter, so just gets on with it. That is until Molly meets Logan. Logan has just moved back home to be with his older brother. Logan is Brian's friend. On day he goes to visit Brian, and that's where he meets Molly. Logan has no idea how he is treating Molly or about the abuses she suffers at the hands of Brian. Logan feel a connection to Molly straight away, but he also sees straight through Molly's and Brian's life aswell. He's sees how hurt and broken down Molly is, and falls in love with her instantly and was to save her. I honestly and truly felt sorry for Molly. It wax heart breaking to read about about Molly suffering like this and her thinking she doesn't deserve better, when she does the world. K.B Webb wrote some very difficult scenes in a very compassionate way. She wrote it so the readers could understand Molly's pain and suffering, but without taking it to far. Some parts were hard to read about. I just wanted Molly to remove herself from the situation and leave Brian. Know body deserves how he treated her. I loved following Molly's journey throughout the story and seeing how with slogans help Molly starts coming out of herself and changes in to a amazing women. She gains so much confidence and strength because of Logan. Logan and Molly together were electric. I've never felt chemistry come off the pages like I did with those to. K. B Webb did such a amazing job at developing the characters superbly. Logan is a great guy. He us very sweet and likeable. He doesn't trust easily and he keeps people at arms length. I was hoping throughout the whole book that he would win Molly's heart and start trusting. Reading books that has abuse in, is never going to be easy. You always know in the back of your mind that some people are going through what your reading on a daily basis. The book hits you right in the heart and then will stay there long after you've read it. K.B Webb did a amazing job at telling the story that she wanted to tell , but telling it in a way that is compassionate and considerate. The characters were very well developed and I enjoyed the journey Logan and Molly took together. I was so happy Molly got the happiness she deserved and I'm looking forward from more books from K.B Webb in the future.

*Molly is broken and damaged. Except she's not. She's a spitfire! She's loved by everyone at work! Every guy notices how hot she is! Everyone wants to protect her! She lives with total loser Brian, who calls her names and hits her. She's aware that he's a jerk, but lets him treat her like crap. That would make sense if she really was a broken person, but she isn't (or at least she isn't written that way). If her self-esteem was that damaged, she wouldn't be able to sing in front of an audience all the time (and everyone raves about how talented she is!). I just never felt that she was a beaten down person, she didn't come across that way at all.
*Logan is eye-roll worthy for sure. He meets Molly, and within 5 seconds is in love with her and needs to protect her at all costs. He's constantly waxing poetic about her and instantly wants to play father to her baby. Logan was engaged to Lizzy, completely in love with her, but now that he's met Molly, Lizzy is a fake whore who means nothing. It seems like all the women in this book outside of Molly's circle are sluts/whores, and that really irritated me.
*Wynee (that name, ugh, like nails on a chalkboard) is Molly's BFF. Closer to her than a sister, but apparently doesn't care enough to try and intervene in Molly's abusive relationship. Wynee's boyfriend is best friends with Brain, and is apparently ok with Brian treating Molly like crap, at least until he finds out Brian hits her. I guess that is where the line is drawn.
*Tiffany is a co-worker of Molly's and Brian gets her pregnant. Molly makes a scene calling her a whore/slut. We find out later that Molly cheated on her HS boyfriend repeatedly, so that seemed more than a little pot/kettle to me. Molly also gets into a fight with Lizzy and punches her. Molly's not a tiny girl (5'10"), so why she doesn't use some of her awesome fight skills on Brian is beyond me.
*The ending is laughable, with Brian turning into a cartoon villain and trying to kill Molly. Of course Molly and Logan break up (probably because Logan won't stop crying all the time), but they manage to make it back to each other after Molly serenades him with her guitar (how cliche is that).
*Molly at age 22 has managed to become pregnant twice (not on purpose), so perhaps she should learn what birth control is all about!
*There aren't a ton of typos/grammar problems, but there were enough to mention. I pretty sure Logan didn't mean to put his arms around Molly's waste. It's waist!

A quick side-note before I start my review… I love a book that references music! and when the book references great 90s music? Oh yeah, sign me up! Pearl Jam, Hootie & the Blowfish, Del Amitri, Train and many more!!… Good Stuff!
I love to have insight into both characters and what they’re thinking.
Follow You Down is Lucas and Dani’s story, it’s already released and available. I will be starting that today! And Heartbreak Warfare is Ryan’s story. Expected to be out October 24th – I have marked my calendar!!
I've come to a conclusion that I can't read books that are set in the south because they seem unnecessarily overdramatic. Maybe these books are trying to be the next Dallas soap-opera but even that show isn't as senselessly overdramatic as these books.
It doesn't help when I don't enjoy the characters. Molly was just so wishy-washy in her convictions: she would be so independent in some situations and then not in others. Her whole reasoning for being with Brian was irritating and not completely logical. I get that Molly has some emotional issues based on her past, but she seemed to fully recognize the situation for what it truly is yet avoids the obvious outcome and chooses the blatantly wrong choice. I just felt like all the characters in the book were all on the same path but would just skip the last step and overshoot the conclusion.
As for Logan: he was just alright. I don't enjoy love at first sight stories and this is the case here. I can appreciate what their relationship does for each of them, I just wish it wasn't such an insta-connection at the start. My last comment on Logan is that I couldn't keep a straight face when he would call Molly "Cookie" -- gag :P I can appreciate the sentiment, it was just a tad overdone at times.
It didn't help that when I started the book I thought it was going in a different direction (curse you vague book synopsises!) so I really didn't know what to expect. The synopsis is true: it isn't a story about a naïve virgin; but it started in a place that even I wasn't expecting. Regardless, the book felt slow despite the dramatics and I just kept waiting for something to happen. I was going to stop reading but I really wanted to learn the "big bad secret" just to see if it was something petty or something serious and interesting. So I begrudgingly kept reading. I'm not overly upset that I did (it was an interesting secret) but I've read better.
Overall: I won't be reading the next book in the series unless the synopsis promises to be an interesting and captivating read (which based on this book seems unlikely). If you like overdramatic books with nauseatingly sick love stories, you will like this one!

Molly is a lonely, troubled girl. She has a best friend Wynee, works as a waitress and has an abusive, angry boyfriend called Brian. Brian is not only physical abusive but also emotional abusive. He always tells her that she is no good, no one would want her and she is fat. Molly accepts it as she has just given birth to their daughter, Lyric and dues to her past, she believes what he says. This is her life. Until Logan walks into it.
Logan has moved back home to live Lucas, his older brother. He helped bring up Logan when their dad left them and their mum. He is one of Brian's friends and when Brian invites him over, he doesn't expect to be fixated on Molly. To Logan, it is love at first sight but he sees the sadness in her eyes and the way Brian treats her. He wants to be her friend and win her trust. He loves Lyric too.
Lots of situations occur but one thing is for sure, Logan wants to be there for Molly. Their is a definite connection there and it's the first time that Molly feels special and cherished. Molly and Logan confide their pasts to each other and he tries to give Molly the strength and show that she can stick up for herself against Brian.
It's such a wonderful story and i completely loved the characters. Molly did get on my nerves sometimes with the so many doubts she has about being with Logan but it was fantastic to see her gather strength to tell Brian that enough was enough and to leave him. Fantastic story and i really looking forward to reading Follow You Down, book 2 based around Lucas and Dani, a new waitress at Rickey's where Molly works. I love that you get a bit of insight to Dani and Lucas in this book and it's great seeing what the other characters think of them before the next book which will be from Lucas and Dani's POV.
