Rate this book
Talented fiddler Katie McCoy finds out that her band, Sterling, will join the very famous, extremely handsome, Blake Jackson on his Country Summer Nights tour. Her career is taking off, but after dating too many guys who let her down, her love life is going nowhere.

Blake is America’s biggest country star, and he can date a different beautiful woman every night of the week. After years on the road, each woman starts to seem the same and none of them ever want more than the experience of dating a celebrity. In Katie, he finally finds a woman who is interested in who he is as a man, someone who loves him for his true self. Being on tour together is a bit like being in a relationship pressure cooker, and things get serious. Everything moves faster than outside in the real world. Theirs is a match made in music heaven, but in three short weeks, Katie’s band leaves the tour and she’ll be out of his arms.

Katie wants true love more than anything else, but her tour bus is heading back to Texas with or without her. Sterling’s new level of success means that her career must take top priority and any man she’s with will have to respect that. She’s done with guys who don’t take her career seriously, and Blake can’t leave his own tour. How can they stay together when their paths have them moving in opposite directions? Will they find a way to make it work or say goodbye?

Fabulous! From start to finish I had a blast with this book. And the ending – no spoiler here – but oooo yummy! This was a truly fun romp through the Country Music world, and Katie and Blake were perfect together and perfectly believable. Pure bliss. Any downside? Too short? Not a trilogy – yet? Ms. Tillery did a great job and should be applauded! Very well done!

First off, I have to say I can't believe this is the first book from this author. It is so well written and shows so much depth and emotion. I would have thought she wrote 100 books.

Katie McCoy's band, Sterling, finally gets their big break opening some shows for country music's biggest star, Blake Jackson. Life on the road is tough, but with a little help from a pro (Blake), Katie learns the ropes. Little did she know, an additional lesson from him would be in love. But, how do they make it work when he is on the road so much and her band is only playing with his for one part of his tour? Katie needs to make decisions about her future with her band or her future with Blake. Can they come to a mutual agreement and stay together or does she go back home with her band for their upcoming shows and recording their next album? I really loved this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves a good romance book.

I love country music, so I was excited to read KISS ME KATIE. Kick up your cowboy boots (I did!) This is fun ride in which the heroine’s on-the-brink band lands an amazing gig opening for one of country music's hottest performer, Blake Jackson...(Remind you of anyone?:) Cue in the headlining hot country music star!)

Katie McCoy is the beautiful blonde fiddler of this up-and-coming band who catches the eye of Blake from the very start. The romance that develops between them is fast, sweet and just fun. Blake has a couple of "silly boy" moments - what hero doesn't - and you totally forgive him as you root for this couple to reach their happy ending.

I loved getting a sneak peek of what it might be like behind the scenes of a country music tour and the ending is well…just too cute. Highly recommend adding KISS ME KATIE to your summer reading list!

Katie McCoy is a fiddler with the band, Sterling. They receive a huge break when they become the opening act for mega-country star, Blake Jackson. Sparks fly, but Sterling's gig is only for a few short weeks. Will Katie and Blake be able to take their romance to the next level or will she have to give up everything she's worked so hard for to be with the man of her dreams?

When I received this ARC, I delved right in and did not put it down until I was completely done. Kiss Me, Katie is a fun and sexy romance story that will take you through a roller coaster of emotions (Just like real love does!) I can only hope that Mrs. Tillery will continue to write more romance stories. Maybe even some more with Katie and Blake? Hint, hint! Wonderfully written and a definite must read for anyone who loves a good romance story!

I love a strong heroine, but I often find strong=rather abrasive. This is not the case with Katie McCoy! Her strength is a quiet one - she doesn't feel the need to push her beliefs and convictions in everyone's face, but she remains true to herself while losing none of her sweet, caring nature. Author Monica Tillery has created a heroine who is easy to love, easy to relate to, and impossible not to cheer for! Hero Blake realizes he's found everything he wants in Katie, but when she finally gives him an ultimatum, his reaction stuns both of them. Stunned me, too! :) I totally didn't see it coming, and I could not put the book down until I found out what happened afterwards. KISS ME, KATIE is a beautifully crafted story by a supremely talented author. Definitely a must-read!

"Kiss Me, Katie" is a sweet love story about two country music performers, Blake Jackson and Katie McCoy. Blake is a star headliner who has hired Katie's up-and-coming band, Sterling, to open for him during part of his national tour. Sparks fly between them from the moment they meet. But Katie wants nothing less than true love and a man who understands her career ambitions. And Blake isn't sure he's quite ready to give that to anyone in the wake of too many failed on-the-road relationships. It seems at times that happily-ever-after is out of reach but author Monica Tillery sorts it all out by the end of the book and gives her readers a charming wrap-up to her debut novel.

I was given an advanced readers copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was the perfect sweet romance--country music style! Katie is a fiddler whose band gets booked as the opening act for huge country sensation Blake. The attraction is obvious from their first meeting, but there are some bumps in the road to their happily-ever-after--cause Blake is a guy used to getting what he wants and Katie is figuring out her own path. The descriptions of the country music scene, struggles of an opening band and the challenges and excitement of life on the road were incredibly realistic and vivid.

And the last scene? Sheer perfection.

I had the privilege of reading an advanced copy of Kiss Me Katie, the debut novel by Monica Tillery, in exchange for an honest review. Kiss Me, Katie is a sweet, gentle romance about a young musician, Katie McCoy, who falls for the charms of one of country music’s biggest stars, Blake Jackson, while her band is the opening act on his tour. When Blake asks Katie to quit the band to stay on tour with him, he’s not ready for her refusal. She’s not about to throw away the career she’s worked so hard for on the off-chance that Blake might eventually love her. An accident brings her involvement in Blake’s tour to an early end, leaving Blake scrambling for a way to keep her in his life.

An enjoyable read, Kiss Me, Katie is suitable for all ages.

I was lucky enough to get a sneak peak at Kiss Me, Katie, Monica Tillery’s debut novel. WOW! It was hard to believe this was her first published book. Tillery does an excellent job of establishing her characters. I had pictures in my mind almost immediately and it never wavered. I fell in love with Blake, the mega country legend, and Katie, a rising star, right away and found I was powering through the book just to make sure that everything would turn out ok. Let’s face it, who among us has dreamed of having a superstar falling in love with us. If you are looking for a fun Summer Sweet Romance to read, this is it!

This sounded like such a cute story that I looked forward to the opportunity to settle in for a lovely, relaxing read. It had the fairy-tale quality to it though its set in the contemporary world of a country singer's music tour and I do like to change things up for dreamy books like this.

Katie McCoy is now living out the start of her dream of making it as a musician since the band she belongs to was chosen to open for successful singer, Blake Jackson. Katie meets Blake almost the moment she arrives and has a gushing fangirl moment that he doesn't seem to mind because he seems to be interested in her too.

Blake sees the cute and sweet new fiddle player for his opening act and envisions her as a nice distraction while they're on tour together. He has a hard time with relationships because they don't work well with the type of career he has. With an attractive girl traveling right along with him, he sees this as near perfect.

Things take off fast for Blake and Katie with both of them knowing that her band will be leaving the tour in a short amount of time. Katie's bandmate warns her to keep in mind that its common for things to happen fast and hard on a tour. This and her own sense of self keep her slightly grounded even while she gives up her heart quickly to Blake.

Blake is equally enamored with Katie and starts to realize that she's so much more than he anticipated. His family loves her and she truly sees him as a person. Before he gets much of a chance to digest this, he blurts out a half-thought out offer to Katie to leave her band and travel with him for the rest of the tour.

When Katie sensibly wants a little more guarantee from him since he's asking her to ditch her band and at the least postpone her own career chances, Blake freezes up. Its heartwrenching for her, but then things go from bad to worse for her.

My thoughts on this book leave me with an overall feeling of enjoyment, but it had a few things that detracted a little for me. I really enjoyed many aspects of it, but there were also times that I had a disconnect feeling. The first thing that troubled me was that I wasn't convinced about their relationship. I'm not one who gets upset when a relationship comes on fast and 'I Love Yous' get tossed around early on, but I do have to be convinced by actions and words that its real. Katie was a fangirl with stars in her eyes; Blake was looking for someone to fill time though he dreamed of a future with a true relationship. Neither of them did or said anything to convince me differently until later on in the story and by then their conflict was a result of what gave me reservations in the first place. That leads me to the next thing that struck me wrong. There is a skipped over time period that involves soulsearching and heartbreak- big stuff, right? But its only referred back to in the finally leg of the story making me not as vested in the outcome as I could have been.
With all that being said, this is a solid story with a tender romance, likeable characters who are learning as they go, easy writing style and a good choice of backdrop against which the story takes place.

This is a great fit for those who enjoy sweet Contemporary Romances with a fairy-tale quality to them.

I received a copy of the ebook for my honest opinion.

I love everything about this book. Katie is a part of a band called Sterling, as their fiddler. Blake has his own country band. Sterling opens for Blake's band and sparks flies between Blake and Katie.

I love that the back drop was country music, a favorite of my. Katie and Blake are adorable and this is a sweet romance story that warmed my heart. My favorite characters were of course Katie and Blake, but I loved Luke, Blake's brother. Luke told things how he sees them. I really hope that there is a book about Luke and also so we can see how things worked out with Katie and Blake.

I love this author and I will definitely be reading more from her. I also recommend this book!

Another great read by Monica Tillery. Multi POV. Stand Alone.

This was another super sweet romance that I just could not put down.

Loved Blake and Katie. The story line was fantastic, the characters so easy to become engaged with and their dialogue flowed really well. The only thing keeping this from being 5 full stars was that a few times Blake and Katie acted out of character. They behaved one way for a while, then it swtiched up and they acted another. It all eventually got back on track. There were a few scenes that could have been left out, that really didn't add to the story, but they did not distract from the story either. More or less filler.

If you are looking for a sweet, clean romance, this is a book for you. And if you like sexy, country music stars...this is for sure one for you :)

I enjoyed this sweet story about Katie and Blake. The backdrop of country music was an added bonus. Katie is a fiddler who is in a small town band who has finally made it on a big country star's tour, enter Blake. They have instant chemistry and begin spending all of their time together. Things heat up quickly and as Katie's band's time comes to an end on the tour, Blake and Katie are faced with decisions. I definitely enjoyed reading about them and enjoyed reading about the other band members. I wish the story had been longer so that there would have been more depth to their relationship but it was a very enjoyable read. Another great read for a day at the beach or a rainy spring day!

In Kiss Me, Katie by Monica Tillery, Katie McCoy is the fiddler for the band Sterling. She has been with them for the past six years since she graduated from high school, and she is not only the fiddler, she also has written some of their songs and co-written others with band’s lead singer. Now her band has paid a lot of money, but they are hoping that being the opening band for the very famous Blake Jackson will bring them more fans and more work. Read More...

This book is amazing! I'm not usually one for romance, but this story sucked me right in. I couldn't put it down. Mrs. Tillery did an amazing job telling this love story and now I want to read more just like it.

Two-point-five stars. Some parts, I felt like they were too dragged on. I ended up skimming through the pages just to get the gist of the story. I wish for more conversations between our two main characters, so that I could see more interactions.

A great first novel! The characters are sweet and have more depth and integrity than in some of the more lusty love stories. I look forward to reading more from this author!

It was good but for the most part, I felt it was really dragged out. I couldn't relate emotionally to the characters. It wasn't grasping, like the others out there like it.

This is a sweet, fun cute romance. It is not graphic! The chemistry is good. The hero grows up and learns to be selfless.
