I think this book has a good goal...but it is tirelessly repetitive, written for people from the dominant culture, and just poorly written (many sections are difficult to read...and then the authors repeat the exact same wording elsewhere in the book). I did not like it much and as far as coaching, I do not believe it provided me with any additional tools I can use to impact positive change in my building.

This is not an easy to book to read... lots of content! However, it is a great mix of Cognitive Coaching and Cultural Proficiency. It details each and then shows how nicely they fit together. I'm looking forward to using this book in my job.
