I received The Labyrinth from the author in return for an honest review.

Rissa has grown up most of her life living with her family in struggling to get by and when she sees a silver ring that could really help her family she jumps at it. Little did she know it would change her life forever, bringing the monsters they fear to her doorstep.

I love Rissa she's a great character strong, loyal and selfless as she's willing to do anything for her family. Even risk her own life to make sure that they are all okay. I wasn't sure at first with Ten when he took her with him but the more but he's redeemed himself. I love Ten's he's such a complex monster who's lived through so much but doesn't let it change who he is. They have this beautiful connection an instant part and the chemistry is sizzling.

I love the concept The Labyrinth it's a captivating dark monster romance that I just couldn't put down. I ended up devouring it in just one morning losing all track of time till the last page. I found the world that Torri Heat created unique it's an interesting twist on what could maybe happen one day. The author has done a lovely job blending the romance within the story it just flows from start to finish.

This is my first book by Torri Heat and I'm obsessed she's created a stunning story that captured my heart as well as the imagination. I was so invested in the relationship between Rissa and Ten is just was done so beautifully. The Labyrinth has all the feels which I love in a book, I know I woke the dog a few times yelling at my kindle and crying like a baby. I loved every moment of the story and was very sad to see it end. This book was everything I hoped for and more it blew my expectations out of the water. I can't wait to read her backlist and hope for more books in this world.

I received this ARC last Thursday and paused all other reads immediately.
To say I ate this book up is an understatement, so much I hated work and "being" social got in the way.

The plot is good. The world building is amazing and well explained, but it is also easy to understand how it all works.
(I can imagine more stories from this world with people and beings (can't say the M word) we were introduced to or new people and beings .. hint hint)

Ten and Rissa... they are a 10 for me! Who needs human men when you have puprle horned beings! What happens between them is a constant give and take, and I am all here for it!

Good job, Torri Heat!!

My 50th book this year and first ever ARC!

If you’re into monster sluttiness with a little pain then this is for you!

I liked the plot but my fantasy loving heart wanted more development in the story and worldbuilding. Very fast paced if that’s what you’re looking for. Tropey main characters with a golden retriever demon boyfriend with a dark side, and badass survivalist woman. I liked the twist on him being more “worldly” while she was seeing a lot of things for the first time. (The grass on her feet scene was really cute)

I've said it before and I will continue to say it... I LOVE MONSTERS and I LOVE MONSTER ROMANCE!
One of my favorite things to do is go in completely blind and I am so glad I did with this one.
There are so many fantastic elements to this book, I can't pick my favorite. Additionally, there were a few minor issues with missing details(not enough to shake me from being invested), but it does set it up beautifully for future books.
If you like monsters and you like spicy monster romance, this one is for you.
I will also add that there are themes in this book that will not be everyone's cup of tea, so take a peek at the TW list.

The Labyrinth by Torri Heat ☆☆☆☆.5

"𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖. 𝑳𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒎𝒂𝒌𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒆𝒅. 𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒕 𝒎𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓."

This isn't my first rodeo with a book written by Torri, however it was my first dive into monsters with Torri and what a ride it was.

The Labyrinth was set in a post apocalyptic world with The Labyrinth centered in the middle and its the first time I've read anything apocalyptic, and Torri honestly smashed it.

This is a dark monster romance and I would definitely suggest checking your TW's. Rissa and her family live in one of the towns around The Labyrinth with her family, in a very poverty stricken shack, with mouths to feed and people to rely on her Rissa scavenges something she shouldn't. Enter Tennyson Furie, he wants it back, but more than that he wants Rissa. With the promise of her family being taken care of, just how far will Rissa go?

I loved Ten and Rissa so much, the banter between them was spot on, Rissa wasn't meek like I thought she was going to be, she didn't know a lot and I loved when Ten introduced her to things she'd never seen or even tasted before. She matched Ten in every way possible and I loved watching how understanding she was with him.

Then you have Ten who was definitely rough around the edges, but just under the surface, he had a soppy heart, and a heart that only beat for Rissa. Watching him fall was absolutely everything and to me he just ended up being the biggest golden retriever ever.

I cannot wait for more from this world, especially as I know who the next book is going to be about😏 and I just know they're going to be fire!

Oh man, okay my monster peen lovers this one is a must for you! If you like a little bit of Stockholm too it’s perfect

Torri Heat is amazing and one of my favorite people, I’ve loved everything she’s written and this dark monster romance is NO different!

“Don’t talk. Just listen. You are a luxury. You’re a treasure I shouldn’t have, but here you are just the same.” Just me or did that make you swoon?!!

Rissa and Ten are hit and perfect together!
Now again for the people in the back that’ll download this book, read it and then complain it’s a DARK MONSTER romance so if that’s not your cup of tea don’t read it! But this amazing, I love Torri Heat’s take on a dark monster romance and I can’t wait for more!

4.5 rounded up!
This was an ARC received in exchange for a review.

So, let me start this by saying this is my first ever monster romance so I was going in very blind. I loved this though. I enjoy dark romances and the monster aspects added something I didnt know I needed. I liked that the monsters in the Labyrinth had different appearances too.

Ten and Rissa are both bad-ass characters who would kill for one another time and time again. I like that Rissa is sarcastic and strong from the start and continues to grow further as the story progresses. Now, this story does feature some graphic violence and non-con/dub-con, so if that's a sensitive topic proceed with caution.

I can't wait to see more from these characters and I look forward to the next book!

I gotta say, torri writes some interesting books.

This one got me from the start and I devoured it during my 5 hr hair appointment 😂

Is monster 🐔 something you should read about while you’re getting highlights? Maybe not but I kept the screen down low 😬

If you’re into apocalyptic paranormal smût with a ‘touch her and no longer exist’ vibe and a whole list of warnings you can check out via the front of the book, then I suggest you check this one out!

I received this book as an ARC. This was a quick, easy read with a strong FMC and a grumpy, possessive monster MMC. I quickly fell in love with Ten and Russ’s and their banter. This book is definitely character-based, however, it did have some compelling plot as well. It was interesting to watch how they each individually had to process their trauma while also learning from each other. I’m not sure if this is a standalone or not, but I hope we get to see more from this world, maybe a Griffin/Clara spinoff??? 👀🫶🏻

Received an arc copy of this last week and planned to spend my 3 day weekend reading it. I devoured this book the first day! Now I'll spend the rest of the time recovering and being sad there isn't more.
I need more Ten and Rissa. I need to know what happens with the city and the Ravens. I cannot wait for more! Oh and the spice?! *chef's kiss*
And a pet name I've never seen used before! Absolutely loved it all!

Arc review✨
This author always surprise me with her stories, so it wasn't what I expected or imagined with the title... We have a post apocalyptic world, where monsters are real and rule the laberynt.
Love the relationship, Ten and Raissa where meant for each other and their love surpass every logic even theirs, cause they don't want to be in love.
We have great trigger warnings that have some bdsm sub/Dom relationship and the note that says: do not take this as educational. Love the author for it.
The end was open, so I'm guessing we will see more about this world in the future. I'll really want to see her brothers more involved on the next one, specially Bear 🐻

Let me just start with the fact that I wasn't ready for this book to make me emotional at all. The introduction to Rissa and her family truly speaks to how bad things could get. Poverty is harder than most understand. Every single person in the household needs to pitch in just to survive. The MMC is complex in ways that I did not expect given his brutish introduction. This story resonated with me as Rissa's only real goal is to keep everyone else going until it's not. I loved this book and the Beauty and the Beast vibes with more stubbornness and will. I loved this book with my whole heart. This book is dark but if you can brave it the story is absolutely breathtaking.

A Dark Monster Romance, with love, s¢x,
viol¢nce and revenge...Need I say more?

The Labyrinth opens us up to the Tenth Circle Series, showing you a taste of what is to come.

We meet Ten and Rissa, a raging sadist 'monster' and a sass-filled strong woman.
Let's say Insta-love wasn't quite it. Maybe fascination meets murder, although they do show their softer sides, peeling a layer away at a time.

We find out not all is what it seems amongst the gates of the Labyrinth, lies, deceit, old ways in need of updating.

As they explore each other, walls talk and old ways are acted and let's say the tropes live up to their hype - he kills for her - she kills for him -

Humans are fickle and so are their emotions, Torri makes sure we know minds are complex but even the most broken can still be beautiful behind the pain.

We fight! With each other, the elders, outcasts and intruders. Action is on the pages. Blood runs down tattered skin, for love, revenge and k!nk 😜

As always it will be, seeing as I'm behind the scenes of the world that is Torri Heat, I will be biased in my ratings but never in how the book makes me feel.

There's Beauty and the Beast vibe and I'm all here for it!

At the beginning I just knew I would dislike the MMC Ten, but he grew on me over time.
Rissa I just knew would make a great journey and get stronger.

The monster smut was *chef kiss* and I can't waaaaait for the next book!!!!

I hope it's Griffins story.... *sigh* Don't know what about him.

i was an ARC reader for this book and before going in I had no idea it was a breeding book with a breeding camp and thats not my favorite or something i enjoy reading but non the less i persevered. This book is a monster dystopion romance that has a broken world where one class is rich and lavish and the other is poor and starving. the FMC Rissa was poor, in one chapter she talks about eating Porriage everyday and how her sisters ribs were popping out, that they was starving so thats when she finds the ring. the monster Ten comes and takes rissa because her eyes are green and shes so georgous and perky. my question is.. why is she perky and why doesnt she talk about how she is starving and her ribs are showing and Ten just sees her bubble butt and perky boobies, i guess im just asking if she was starving she wouldnt have a big but or perky boobies but i dont know. i was really annoyed by the FMC throughout the whole book, when she found the journel from 15 years ago and flipped out on ten asking if he loved her, when theyve known eachother for two days lol thats fine, ive read other torri heats book and they wasnt cringey and they drew me in! im shocked i didnt love this book but then again im not a breeding girlie so maybe thats me. also this book has major plot holes. the girl loved him but didnt love him but also cried all the time thinking he was in loce with someone from 20 years ago like damn bitch your gonna hold him to something he might of did 20 years ago and cry about it, you just met him maybe 2 pages ago.
also im no longer allowed to recieve arcs from this compnay anymore due to my honest review. for reasons " if you dont like breeding, exctra," that was a small part of the review they just glossed over the whole middle where i pointed out the cake thing but whatever

I received a digital ARC of this book for my honest opinion.

I have tried to write this review more than once, and this is solely based on me trying to figure out all of the feelings I have about this book. To start off, when a book is "Dark Monster Romance" it could go so many ways and I will admit I was a little scared. But, when I tell you this hit the mark in the BEST way possible I meet it with my whole chest. If it isn't obvious this is not a book meant for just any random reader, it is a very niche premise, but if you are that reader I highly recommend this book.

I enjoyed the world-building as well as the characters, however, I do wish there was a little more build-up at the beginning regarding the background of our FMC Rissa. I feel like there is a lot more that can be done there and a lot of the emotions for this character need more fleshing out. I do feel that the Dual POV chapters were very beneficial to this story. If it was only Rissa's side I feel that it may not have been as engaging. This was very fast-paced and had many different aspects that could have been touched on more. That being said, I really enjoyed Heat's writing style and I could not stop laughing out loud and bother my fiance with what was going on.

As someone a part of the Kink community this was a very interesting way of approaching it. Quick shout out for the note at the beginning regarding not being educational content! The way in which this book approaches breeding kink is WILD, and I really hope the camp is talked about more throughout the series due to it only existing for a little bit in the first book. It is also completely dubious consent due to the power dynamic that is wholely real and not a scene (again important she had that note at the beginning). Even with this, I would say this book did better with the mental/emotional health of the characters in the relationship than some human kinky romances I have read.

The best way to sum up my recommendation is that if you liked Haunting Adeline and Monster Romance this is definitely a book to check out! I am excited to see where the rest of this series takes us.

I got this Arc read on Thursday. I was in the middle of reading a book and I immediately put that book on pause to start this one! I found this book/author on Tik Tok, and saw a post about this book! I signed up for the ARC immediately! I had been waiting for this book to be sent out to the arc readers for a little while. It was well worth the wait.
So now my review:
First off if you are a sensitive reader please read the trigger warnings at the front of the book. I have yet to find a trigger that has stopped me from reading a book but I do try to remember to tell others to make sure to read the warnings.

Story 📕: 5/5
Spice 🌶: 4/5

It takes place after the fall of the humans, we are no longer top we have fallen to the bottom. They have come and taken over. The Monsters.

Ten is a non human being. He doesn't like the M word (Monsters). Rissa is a female human. One thing leads to another and Rissa finds herself in Ten's life.
She isn't like the other humans that scream or cry when they see the monsters. There relationship is a give and take. She sees into his being and sees him for who he is and he sees her. They both have issues that they work on together.
Now the 🌶🔥, who doesn't like a big purple monster 🐔 with barbs? There is a little bit of 🩸play, 🔪play, Sadism, forced captivity, ect. Remember read the warnings in the front of the book. I loved the spice in this book! Two dark Souls that have found each other. Great book would recommend it!
Now I have to patiently wait (which I'm not good at) for the next book.
I will say this I would love to hear Grif's story.

"It was like she could see me. The me I kept hidden deep down, where no one could see me. I didn't like it."

I received this book as an ARC, and to be honest, I went in blind. I didn't know what I was going to read, and to be honest, it was my first monster smut. But to call Tennyson Furie a monster would be the greatest offense. The real monsters in this story are those who refuse to make necessary changes for the greater good.

Ten is very progressive, but as an actual monster, there are still things he has trouble letting go of. I was afraid to like him at first, thinking he was there to use Rissa as he saw fit. But as their relationship develops, sending Rissa to the Cage where she must do the unthinkable, we see a new side of Ten. He grows soft, but only where Rissa is concerned.

"I just didn't know what I could do to make her see that. If I needed to breathe for her, I would. I would be her lungs until hers chose to work. I'd be her heart, her soul, I would do whatever I needed to do until she came back to me, because above anything else I knew I wouldn't survive if she didn't."

This was very beautifully written. When a book gives me all the emotions within the first few pages, I know it will be a 5 star read immediately. This was every bit the dystopian 18+ read I've been looking for.

Torri is one of those writers who’s books will stay with you long after you’ve finished it. I’ve only read a couple of her books, but they’re definitely very memorable and have been some of my most favorite books! Her writing is phenomenal, it’s so detailed and descriptive. Her books have grabbed me immediately and I couldn’t stop reading until I was done!
This story was so different from anything I’ve ever read before and it was actually really refreshing. Ten and Rissa couldn’t have been more different, for starters he’s a monster and she’s a human. But they also couldn’t have been more perfect together. They each had a darkness in them that called to each other. Rissa made him feel things he’s never felt before and didn’t think he could. Rissa was a strong and sassy woman, she wasn’t afraid of Ten like other humans were and that surprised him. He definitely wasn’t expecting to get a feisty woman when he took her!
Both characters grew so much from the start of this story. Ten had become her gravity. He pushed her and was cruel when she needed it and gentle when she needed. These two together were damn hot! The spice in this book was off the charts!
I’m excited to see what else Torri has in store for this series! Maybe a Griffin and Clara romance?!

This is a dark monster romance. Holy moly did I love it!

Rissa is a human woman who makes her living scrapping metals that have been discarded from inside The Labyrinth. However, she finds something she knows is too good to be true. But she can’t pass up the opportunity.

Later that day Ten tracks her down and demands she give it back along with herself as a punishment for taking it.
She’s intrigued when he expects her to be terrified.

Once inside The Labyrinth both Ten and Rissa have an inexplicable pull towards each other. But monsters don’t treat humans as anything other than pets and slaves. So trying to save himself from disaster Ten tries to walk away, without success.

This is a very dark and tormented story. With a great love story underneath the layers.

I only had a problem with the over used phrases. Some pages repeated that Ten had a poison growing inside him and taking route. And similar phrases regarding his feelings for Rissa taking root and spreading. And also a lot of “Oh” was used. In many different contexts and phrases. But by the end I was don’t reading the word “Oh”

But I would 100% recommend this book. The storyline and characters are great. And I can’t wait to continue reading the Tenth Circle series.

I received an ARC of this for free. I am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have been (not so) patiently waiting for this release and needed to pace myself while reading but I absolutely could have finished this in a day.

I’ve read almost all of Torri’s books and while similar in themes they each bring their own unique characters, plot, and overall vibe and Labyrinth is no different. One thing that truly stands out with her books is how much detail and thought goes into her characters and the character development. Ten and Rissa grew as characters both independently and as a couple and it is so refreshing to read a story where the main focus is on the characters and their growing relationship rather than learning about every side character and a storyline that takes over everything.

All of that being said, I absolutely ADORED this story. I’m a sucker for a monster romance but a monster romance where he’s head over heels in love with her and will do anything to protect her? Immediately sold. There was romance, action, LOTS of spice, and a sweet (while sometimes toxic) relationship growing between it all. I wish I could give it. ire than 5 stars because this book deserves it.

First book by this author and I was shocked! Normally you can't judge books off their videos no matter how amazing they look. Tik tok drew me in and it didn't dissapoint. Ten might have been the main man but whenever griffin showed up I was caught up. Ultimately though ten and Rissa are endgame no matter how it started.

Rissa would do anything to protect her family and it shows throughout the book. Especially willing to go to a camp for her mistakes. The wonders of everything new for her. Seeing grass for the first time, a shower, a fireplace. Everything she wasn't used to but ten took his time showing her what everything was and could be. This might have started off as a punishment for stealing his ring but it set her up in ways she couldn't even imagine. Off to read some of her other books now!

Just remember Whatever you do don't call them monsters or you won't be able to say another thing.

Thankyou to Torri for providing me with an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This novel really turned dark romance on its head for me with its paranormal tropes. I loved the monster, human, and half-human elements and the strength of the plot of the war within the Labryinth really coupled well with the heavy spice.

There are pretty dark triggers for this book, so please don't go in blind but the dub/con, sub/dom and after-care elements were really well articulated with little to no question of respect, but overwhelming growth and acceptance.

I would love to see the second book explore the growth of the Labryinth more and the POVs of some other characters that we were introduced to.

As others have mentioned, I think perhaps a Clara POV would be great as we can get a better insight into the camps - but either way I will be continuing this series and wait with bated breath for the next release!

Up there with one of my favourite reads this year.

Holy shit! This was an ARC received and I'm so glad I got it! Awesome story. The plot was great and in-depth without being too much and leaves room for sequels! I will say I didn't think there was huge character development, especially on MMCs behalf but it wasn't over a larger enough time span to ensue either. The world building was spot on, I understood everything and it all made sense, loved the map too! I'd love if there were sequels that included the camp and other characters *hint hint*

Favourite quotes below!
- You were a poison, but one I was happily consuming.
- "Whoever lays hands on you will pay the price. Just this time, you’re doling out the punishment. Make them pay, deliciae.”
- “You will burn for me,” I commanded, staring into her eyes, letting her know I saw every piece of her. I saw the broken and the whole, the dark and the light. I wanted it all, and it all was mine. “You will burn for me, because that is how we know we are fucking alive.”

I have so many favorite quotes from this book that I wish I could share, but alas I shall wait until the book is publicly released.

I’ve been anticipating this release for months, so I can’t say I’m surprised that I ate it up in less than 2 days. I have so much and not enough to say about, “The Labyrinth.”

One of the highlights for me has to be that the plot is refreshingly different, but also familiar in a comfortable sort of way. The world that Rissa and Ten survive in is original and incredibly creative, but it’s also easy to understand the inner workings of their society. Their world seems endless and I want to see and hear the stories of everywhere and everyone we were introduced to.

Rissa and Ten have a complicated dynamic, a constant push and pull - give and take. I LOVE THAT. And I love them.

I ate these two up and the journey they shared and I’m crossing my fingers for a book 2.

The only word I can think to truly describe this book is, “good.”

What a great read! From the get-go, I was so invested in the world Torri has created. Ten, oh Tennyson... I don't think I'll be the only one who's invested in your antics, imagining what else you could do with those ... barbs... and where else you could explore with them *cough cough* Im still wondering how hadd the black mess would be to clean up, though... hahaha. Does it stain? 🤣 Miss Rissa is a total Sass queen, and I'm all here for it. She was so relatable, and her character was a 10/10. I was living vicariously through her this whole book, and it was so easy to be transported into this wonderfully imaginative world. I truly hope another book is on the cards, as I would love to see more of Master and Rissa, as well as explore more of what Solaris and its delicious mons**** (its a insult so cant say it... just ask Ten) has to offer. Well done, Torri. Loved it.

An ARC gifted for a real review ❤️
Overall for me it was a 5 ⭐️ and I wish I could read it again for the first time.
Although I have read paranormal romance this is a first for a monster. I really enjoyed it even tho I had no idea what to expect.
Dark romances is end all be all for me, it’s my first and true love when it comes to reading, adding the monsters, I didnt know I would need it. The details in the appearance really helped me visualize it.
While it is a romance it is a Dark Romance which means there are triggers and I’m going to list them.
Triggers:
• Kidnapping
• Forced Captivity
• Assault
• Dub Con/Non Con
• Knife Play
• Blood Play
• Violence
• He kills for her
• She kills for him
• Breeding
• Monsters
• Famine
• Sadism
