Ok so this was clearly not a full book. More like one book that will be broken into a series of several stories woven into one plot. I say this because this is a really quick read, and because of the way it ended. Maybe I'm not saying this right though... Okay, so it reads more like a mini series, for TV where the story is broken down into 1 hour episodes. So the brief chapters in this book, reads like a 1 hour episode to a much bigger story. If that makes sense?? 🤔
Book starts off very intense🤯 and scary😱. Trafficking of any kind is like that anyway. So right off the bat I was very intrigued and anxious to know what would happen next.
Then something happened between the MCs that I just was not feeling at all, given the dangerous circumstances and just how recently Maisie was removed from said circumstances. I mean if I found myself in Maisie's situation, the LAST thing on my mind would be getting some "Grown Folk Cuddles".. I don't care how fine he is. He would have had to work up to that. And it certainly would not have happened in some 36 hrs after being rescued from what was sure to be a whole other nightmare within itself.
So this was why it got 3 ✨ from me. That was just too soon considering the circumstances. I'm all for insta love and attraction. But these things have to be produced under the right set of circumstances, and in this case, that just wasn't stirring my Kool-aid at all.
Though I did like the MCs and the other characters, and what's happening around them. Especially Goliath 😍 I can't wait to read his chapters within this series. And if what I was told is the truth, about his book being next in this series, I'm going to be all over that one! 🙃🙃

Novella MC fighting against real life issues
This is a quick read, but having said that there is a lot packed into this book. Definitely excited for the rapid release of this series.
The heart at the center of this story is even if an MC is not on the straight and narrow path there are some lines that should never be crossed.
Please be sure to read the warnings at the beginning of not only this book but any book that have these warnings, they are there for the readers peace of mind.
This is a quick read, but having said that there is a lot packed into this book. Definitely excited for the rapid release of this series.

Splice by E.R. Hendricks is a MC romance. This is the first book in the Ruthless Heathens series.
I am loving E.R. Hendricks books. This is the third one that I have read in the past month, and it won't be my last. This is a novella length MC romance that left me begging for more. I really enjoyed getting Splice and Maisie's points of views throughout the book.
The book ended on a cliffhanger but that wasn't a surprise since it's the first book in an interconnected series. I can't wait for the next book Goliath to be announced.

MC and Spice yes please
I fell in love with our main characters and their connection… you could physically feel the tether that brought them together and it was fire.
It was a super spicy book but it was so good… the build up and execution of the MC chapter was delicious. They fight for their own and save those who can’t save themselves.
This is just the start and I’m so excited for the next book!

Y’all. This book. Holy crap on a cracker this book is amazing. I’m not usually into MC club books but this one blew me away. I read it in one sitting and couldn’t get enough. I can’t wait for book two. I need it like yesterday. She always has such an amazing way with her words that suck you in and make you feel so connected to the story. Another 5/5 for me from this author. She has yet to disappoint.

Yes an MC that is gritty and full of twists!!
This is book one of the Ruthless Heathens, a new series that is so full of promise. It's got that dark gritty vibe going and the men of this MC are chef-kisses perfection.
I loved that this book is dual POV's of Splice and Maisie(Bluey). You get to understand both sides of these characters as the story progresses, and let me say this one has a few twists and spicy moments mixed in as well.
If you love MC romance that has the ruthless feel of the one percenters with touch my woman d!e vibes you will love this one. I'm so excited for the next book now. Twists and turns with a lot of action thrown in making this one an unputdownable book. Highly recommend this one to any reader honestly not just MC readers. It's well written and brings the intensity and a little spice to round out the action playing out. A Definite Must Read!!

Splice the club is losing money, a rival club is taking their product and pushing it with the Ruthless Heathens name but taking all the profit. In an attempt to show the rival club to back off he stumbles across what they are really doing, and it’s to his surprise it nothing at all what he expected! He has women chasing him but he could care less for any of the fake sweet-butts that walk around the club but the moment he opens that door in the Devil’s warehouse he’s instantly taken by the blue haired beauty before him.
Maisie lost her mom, and shortly after losing her father, while she grew up constantly at the ocean she got a job as a marine biologist. She doesn’t do well with people but animals she can spend all day with. When she wakes up in total darkness not knowing where she is or how she got there, soon to find that she has become one of the girls you hear about taken right off the street, she also didn’t see herself falling for a criminal biker named Splice what kind of name is Splice anyways.
Will Maisie let her guard down and allow herself to be with a man like Splice? Will Splice finally find the girl of his dreams and make her his ol’ lady?

This is my first book by E.R. Hendricks I enjoyed it so I wish it was longer, yes, yes I do! Though it was on the shorter side I did enjoy Splice’s possessiveness, and Maisie’s sassy attitude. I cannot wait for more of this series. It is a stand alone interlocking, you will meet the other couples and characters in this series though, so I kind of do recommend reading in order. I can’t wait to get into Goliaths story soon!

This is a new series and the 1st book to kick-start it.
This is a change to usual taboo books I've read from this author. I love her writing and no matter how taboo they were it was easy to read.
So this new series is MC Trope. It wasn't too long either. Still packed with plenty of drama suspense, deceit, traitors, chemistry, great plot, feisty MFC and hot growly Alphas with the touch her and I will unalive you vibes.
Splice was rough but with enough heart to love his bluey.
Maisey was so strong despite the torture she has just been through.
Their attraction was instant but Maisie fought it as she really can't like a criminal can she?
Great chemistry and their union was just as hot.
Can't wait for book 2, as I really want to know Goliath more!!!

What a fun read! I really enjoyed this book it was a lot less spice than I normally read, but the plot made up for it.
Splice and Bluey are oh so adorable!!
The first book of the ruthless heathens series and I can firmly say it is well worth the read.
This motorcycle romance is so great because it has a wonderful plot, well written characters, and romance! Personally the romance wasn’t as naughty and spicy as I normally read, but it worked amazing with the plot and kept me thoroughly engaged!
E.R Hendricks is a fantastic author who constantly writes captivating character paired with an excellent.
Can’t wait for book two!

This book is like the biker version of fast and furious. It’s a quick read and ends with a too be continued and sets up for the next book in the series, “Goliath”. Splice focuses on Splice, the VP, and his new girl Maisie aka Bluey. Two rival motorcycle clubs where one of them is sex trafficking women, which Maisie is one of the girls they have trapped, and Splice is sent on a side mission from King and that’s what he finds her and the girls. There’s a shoot out, some spice, jealousy, and a touch of romance. It’s a great set up for the next book! I do wish there was a little more background for the new found couple but I don’t mind them getting straight to business either!

Big burly men?? A Marine Biologist?? How in the world does this all match up?
It works out perfectly. I really feel like this short read could be written much longer so we can get more Splice and Maisie.

i received this as an arc for an honest review
i was hooked from start to finish ! miss Hendricks has now got me hooked on MC romance , times in the book are serious , funny , hot and action packed , wow - when the hero and heroine get together the way he physically makes her his ..... holy shitoly ! i also loved the action ! i cant wait to read more books in the series !

Splice is the first part of an ongoing story. You meet the VP of a MC that ends up saving a group of girls. A rival MC has been kidnapping girls to sale. Splice and his brothers save the girls. But what happens when the other group wants the girls back? What happens when all the unattached guys start to fall for different girls in the group? Splice tells the story of how Splice finds his Bluey. But is left on a cliffhanger on their ending and the rest of the guy’s stories.

I really enjoyed both Splice and Maisie. I also enjoyed the storyline. I desired more detail and depth; otherwise, it was a quick and entertaining read with twist and turns. Fast paced with the perfect balance of action and romance ❤. Can't wait for the next book!

This is the book of the first book of the series. Motorcycle club with hot guys, who doesn't like to read that! The book was short but had a good plot. Bluey and splice will definitely steal your ❤️ and keep you 🔥!

This is a gritty one sitting read. It is an MC romance that really sucked me in. It has so many incredible twists. I loved getting Splice and Maisie's POVs. It is fast paced, packed with action, and has great heat.

This was a great start to a new MC spicy romance series. The story was exciting with lots of action. The spicy time was hot and steamy. It is a quick read but does end in a cliffhanger. I can’t wait for Goliath’s story!

Now that’s a story. Fast paced, full of action, brilliant story. Kept me glued from start to finish, it was so good. Amazing writing yet again. Can’t wait for ‘Goliath’ 🔥

Oh my the tension, the build up, the passion! Definitely need me a Splice in my life! I haven’t read a lot of motorcycle gang books but this has me rethinking that! I need more! The length Splice goes for Maisie is top notch!! Your mine Bluey 😭Loved this, E.R never disappoints!

This is an amazing short read! We follow the story of Splice and Maisie (Bluey). There are lots of twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There are a few spicy moments and the vibes Splice gives off… yes please! A must read!

This book starts out intense, Splice finds himself in a situation that he didn’t expect, and with a few more houseguests. Maisie, the FMC and one of the women rescued, knew it couldn’t get any worse. She agreed to go with Splice and his crew, but still didn’t fully trust him.
This book had a lot of wins for me. First, the dangerous MMC was the hero, who isn’t really a hero, but not 100% a Villain, just a "bad" guy who still did heroic shit. I hope you kept up with that one. Then there was the nickname - I LOVE when men find cute and creative nicknames for the FMC. It just makes their relationship so much more personal and relatable. This novella is also a dual POV and the spice was 🔥
Highly Recommend adding this to your TBR!
