I thought I had my hands full with stopping a mysterious dark mage group threatening to destroy my coven and open the doors to the demon underworld. But of course, I was wrong.
Unfortunately, when you’re a witch and a new omega who joins a pack full of alphas with dark pasts, things stay crazy. When I learn about a dark prediction that one of my alphas would betray my coven, the happy ever after I thought I had gets cut short.
Now, I’m dealing with a demon stalker, dark mage attacks, a foretold betrayal, and my pack’s impending alpha ruts. As threats from the past start making their way to the present, I struggle to hold the pack together and begin to wonder if I took on too much.
It just might be that my new found family could be my biggest weakness instead of my greatest strength.
Love and Battle is the final book in the Love and Bonds trilogy full of romance, humor and action with a strong female lead and lots of over-protective alphas.
We finally have the conclusion the Billies story, which is book 3 overall but book 2 in her own series.
Isn’t this cover just gorgeous?! Right? Right.
We finally get to know the harem! I struggled with connecting and therefore liking them in the first one because I didn’t know them much, but here, we learned a lot about each of them. They were funny, proud, strong, and loving. And could be aggravating at times, but they’re men, what can you do 😉.
I really was wondering if this would be a HEA or a finale because there was a lottttt happening, and some not so good not in terms of writing but the things happening to poor Billie and her peeps). Luckily it all came together, some of it quickly but we got resolution.
Was a fun and enjoyable read and I still recommend reading this series from Book 1 but if you want to read about Billie definitely read book 2.
This was a fantastic way to end the story arc. We got to see Billie getting more comfortable with her omega-ness and we got the chance to know her alphas better, learning what drove them and what frightened them. I loved seeing them all come out of this experience stronger and even more dedicated to one another. I’m also happy to know that this won’t have been the last story in this unique and intriguing world.
Liz Cooper wraps up her Love and Bonds series with the third book, Love and Battle. This is the second book in omega Billie Belamey's story and it was a doozy.
Billie seems to be doing a lot better with the guys and she's all about that pack life. She's loving being the guys omega while still keeping her since of self, she's starting to think more as a person in a relationship rather than a single lady. But Billie is doing great.
Now that's not to say there weren't issues with the guys. The bonds are a bit of an issue, the guys are sending (not purposely) dark emotions down the bonds. I love that they want to protect Billie but I didn't like the fact that they hid so much from her. It was like pulling teeth getting them to open up. I loved seeing more of the guys personality.
I will admit that by the end of the first book, I did really have any strong opinions about the guys because I felt like I didn't know them. However, that's been corrected. I love getting to know about the guys' dark past and what they were still struggling with. We get a little about Lance and Ty, and it explains some things but we get into the nitty-gritty with Kai's and Daniel's past. It was shocking and a little heartbreaking but I understood them better.
This plot certain went to unexpected places and there were several juicy plot twists, I'm not mad about it. I was about 85% through and I was thinking for sure that there was gonna be another book but I was wrong. There was all sorts of supernatural attacks from goblins to zombies, lots of death and destruction, betrayal, and a fair amount of magic. Not only do readers finally get answers about the dark mage sect that has been wreaking havoc but there's a new player in the game with plenty of shocking revelations.
Love and Battle was a great conclusion to Billie's story. Not gonna lie, Liz had me dang near tears for a second but at the last minute things pulled through. Billie and the guys have their HEA but not all the characters have one so looks like Liz will be expanding the Love and Bonds universe which I will be checking out.
Understand that this is Book 3 in the series but Book 2 in the continuation of Billie's story. Book 2 of this series is the start of Lila's story. Therefore, it would be best to read books 1 & 2 to understand the overarching storyline and characters.
In this book we see that Billie is building with her mates although she hasn't allowed all of them to claim her. Billie still struggles with being an Omega but now that she has 4 loving Alpha's her acceptance has become enjoyable.
Billie and her guys simply can't catch a break. Just like in Book 1 somebody wants Billie for themselves. Billie is not only an Omega but a very powerful witch with insurmountable power and that has not gone unnoticed. With covens begin attacked across the globe and local paranormal phenomenal on the rise; frightening nightmare that are controlled by a powerful demon; Billie finds her hands full trying to keep people safe, track down the demon hellbent on claiming her as his as well as protect and comfort her Pack.
There were so many moving targets in this book, and it seems that Billie, Kai, Ty, Lance and Daniel couldn't keep their heads above water. Luckily Lila and Xander were available to assist at a moment's notice because Bille's Pack realized they needed all the help they could get because there is a traitor amongst Billie and Lila's coven as well as a prophecy that states that one of her mates will betray her and destroy the coven.
The stakes are high, and time is of the essence. Will Billie find the answers she seeks to stop the demon who wants her as his mate so that he can have access to her powers and control of her Pack and Coven?
When faced with betrayal and deception is the bond Billie and her Alphas enough to persevere or will the bond crumble while leaving behind a vulnerable Omega ripe for the taking?
So I’m not sure where to begin. There is a lot going on in this book. In the first chapter if I’m honest. It seems like the author took all the magical creatures dumped them into a melting pot and each creature now came with character traits of different species. In the fantasy there can be lots of possibilities but this all was entirely too fantastical and mixed up even. Almost to the point of believable. Like witches being in a pack of other species and other also in a coven but they are deathly loyal to both which can’t be possible because at some point the interest of one will overcome the interest of another and then she will be forced to choose. Let alone vampires solitary creatures by nature being in a pack of intermingled species of other creatures there are too many variables. I think the plot got lost and there didn’t seem to be a clear direction as to where the book was going. I appreciate the author trying to be unique and have a different take on the magical realm and the integration of all the species with each other but I believe that could have been done without taking on the traits of a totally different species. Witches can fall in love with wolves without having to have a wolf-like status. I believe that if the author would have chosen a few species as main character and just mentioned that the others also exist that would suffice. Lastly the plot it just got lost in the sea of ideas that the author had and didn’t make clear. Like there’s a random not well placed plot twist that just didn’t seem to fit. Overall the base was solid but there were too many variables too many things trying to happen. If this was smoothed out and spread between 2 books and a few less creatures, leave the basic traits to each species and give a clear direction clear plot it has the potential to be great.
“I’m never going to run from you guys. You’re my family, and I’m happy that you’re mine,” she began, squeezing the hell out of my heart with her words. “You are not a pack of wayward guys with trauma. You’re a pack who knows how to heal and care for each other. And your difficult pasts made you stronger and more caring, and that’s the commonality. Your hearts. That’s what my dad saw.’
Liz E. Cooper adds title number three to her Love and Bonds series, where Omega Dr. Billie Bellamy continues to struggle to find her place with her chosen Alpha mates while attempting to survive attacks fro a dark mage group. Things get exciting as each mate must find a way to support Billie through the continuing stress and trauma, while allowing her the independence she has fought so hard for.
There is a lot of intrigue and action happening in the appropriately named Love and Battle, as secret forces continue to barrage this family unit in an attempt to break a prophecy.
Witches, vampires, fae and demons are just a few of the paranormals that inhabit this special story.
"Love and Battle" is the latest standalone in the "Love and Bonds" series, and for me the best one so far. We get to know the men in Billie's harem a little better, and I felt like they were given a more clear role in this story, compared to the first book. Their relationship is starting to feel more like a cohesive family now, and I enjoyed watching them grow closer to each other. Some nice spicy scenes helped as well ;-).
I did learn it might be best for me to read future books in this series without reading the blurb. It took me a little while to get into the story, because I was waiting for some key elements from the blurb to reveal themselves. Looking back, I might have enjoyed the story even more if I had just taken it at face value. Still, this was an enjoyable read with a clearly defined storyline, and a bigger story linking all the standalones together. I wouldn't mind seeing these characters again in the future; the background of some of the men seems interesting to explore further and I especially love Kai's wicked sense of humor.
Love and Battle is the third chapter in the Love and Bonds series, although it's the second book that centers around Billie as its protagonist. We were first introduced to Billie as an Omega who repressed her heats, embodying fierce independence. She was determined not to let hormones dictate her life and grappled with her father's chosen protectors after his passing. This second installment takes us deeper into Billie's journey alongside her four devoted companions, as they confront a multitude of challenges.
Billie's struggle to come to terms with her identity as an Omega, her complex relationships with the four men who set her heart racing, the intricacies of her work life, and the ever-present threats from lurking enemies form the backdrop of this enthralling narrative.
From start to finish, I was completely hooked, thoroughly enjoying the blend of action, romance, and sizzling passion that unfolded within its pages. While the journey was undeniably long and arduous, the satisfying HEA conclusion made it all worthwhile.
The conclusion to Billie's story is here. Love and Battle is the third book in this fantasy RH, but is the second book about Billie and the evil that she and her pack are trying to stop.
Billie is struggling with the whole omega thing. She needs to finish claiming her alphas and work on their connection. But between unexpected attacks, past enemies not staying in the past, a dangerous unknown alpha demon stalking her dreams, and a questionable prophecy, it makes it hard for her to even take a breath. Truths will be revealed and Billie will have to stand strong.
I loved the whole magic/supernatural mixed in with omegas and alphas. It made things so interesting and layered the elements in this story. And the true enemy in this book is frightening. How do you fight someone you don't know what they look like, can get in your dreams, and control someone's body? Yikes! This book will keep readers glued to the pages.
Love and Battle by Liz E Cooper is the 3rd book and an amazing end to this series. It is the continuation of Billie's story. This is a paranormal romance with an omega and her alphas. However Billie isn't the type of omega to sit back and need an alpha to take care of her, she both strong and independent. Her alphas are not typical alphas; they love and respect her and see her as more than just something to breed.
I loved the characters and the world building was amazing. There is a lot that happens in this story. Lots of secrets and surprises. It.was a pretty epic ending to Billie's story with a well deserved HEA.
I rated this book 4 out of 5 stars. At times it was almost a bit much for me and I just wasn't sure how they would get their happy ending. If you enjoy paranormal reverse harems with tons of super and surprises then you'll love Love And Battle by Liz E Cooper.
This is book three of the Love and Bonds series by author, Liz E. Cooper and I really enjoyed it. We get to know the guys a lot better in this book as Billie finally completes her bond with all of the guys. Billie and her guys can't seem to catch a break, first, she's attacked by goblins at the gas station and a demon has visited her in her dreams and it turns out she might be the target of a group of dark mages.
The series has always intrigued me cause while Billie is a witch, there are still the elements of Alphas, Omegas and Betas and I thought this made for a very interesting story. Billie struggles a little with her Omega status but I love how she grows even when she gets annoyed that her "nest" no longer smells like her Alphas but more like clean laundry.
Definitely some twists and turns along the way for these characters that certainly keep you on your toes. A really enjoyable read.
So Billie is back and in the opening pages the action starts. There is a lot of action in this book from Goblin attacks on the general public to attacks on coven members and a lot of action between the sheets as Billie finishes fully bonding with her pack. There is a group called the Ascension who are behind the attacks and the word is out that they are coming for Billie. I loved how we got to know the guys a bit better in this one, the story flowed really well and there were shocks and surprises throughout the book which keeps the reader on the edge of their seat wondering what will happen next. I do love a HEA and at times it didnt look like this was going to happen so I was so happy we eventually got there in the end!
Love and Battle is another fabulous paranormal Omegaverse romance; and this third and final book in the Love and Bonds series by Liz E. Cooper was just as equally amazing as the first two, and a definite must read!
This story continues with Billie’s story and she’s finally learning who she is with and without her four sexy alphas and I loved getting to know each of the characters a bit more in this one as well as seeing them grow even closer together. This story literally has it all! Demons, magic, witches, demons and fae, this story was jammed pack with nonstop action, spicy steam, jaw dropping drama and twist and turns alike—and I’m so glad we finally got the conclusion of Billie and her story! And the setup for the next one? I can’t wait for that one now!
This was such a great read! I loved how we got to know everyone more, it really helped to connect with the characters and get to know their personalities! Billie has really come far in this book and it's been great to see that growth, and while things are good, there are definitely bumps on the road when it comes to her relationship with her guys. I really enjoyed the twists and turns this story took, I loved that I had no idea what was coming! Full of drama, supernatural attacks, threats , betrayals ,steamy spice and some moments of anxiety! This was well written and such an entertaining read. While this may be the end of Billie’s story, I hope we get to see more characters from this world have their stories told! I am looking forward to more by this authour!
We couldn't get enough of this Pack and we've been blessed with another book!!
It's great to revisit Billie and her men. At first I wasn't sure another book was needed. I thought the first one ended wonderful enough. But after reading this. I love how bad888 Billie still is! ANd how amazing her pack is when it comes to loving her and supporting her!
I love how this book, to me, highlights each character as an individual AND their working part in the group. like what each person brings to the table.!!There wasn't much harem time in book 1, but this makes up for it.
We still has some struggles, packwise and certain harem members. This book to me, was more on acceptance and building your life after.
She was in a bonded relationship with 4 alphas after finally accepting the bond. She got a power jump because of it making her even more powerful. Who knew the great lengths that someone would go through just to get their hands on her. But the bonds were strong and they’d been doing the work to fortify them. Their enemies didn’t anticipate that and probably thought they could use it to their advantage if they got a foothold on them. Their enemies were willing to do what ever spanning time and dark magic to orchestrate getting their hands on Billie and her omega power.
It was great finally finding out who was the ascension’s leader and the coven traitor and how they went about making things happen. Good read!
This is the second part and conclusion to Billie's story and the author did a fab job answering all my questions and leaving me totally satisfied ;) We get a ton more back story on her men and that let me get fully invested in them. Billie is trying to find more balance between her work and protection duties, but yeah, not so simple. There is so much action, great steam and a wild and twisted plot that really kept me glued to my reader. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and hope there's more to come :D
Billie and the guys are back and quite frankly better but in more danger as they are under constant attacks all while an unknown force tries to take hold of Billie. This one is my favorite of the series because we get to learn more about the guys and what they've been through as individuals which really helps make them more relatable (Kai is still my favorite) Billie is stronger in both mind and power, she's willing to fight for her relationships and not let being an Omega hold her back. Dark mages beware Billie is not holding punches.
We are back focusing on Billie's story in Love and Battle, the third and final book of the Love and Bonds series. Billie is coming to terms to who she is, and she is realizing she can depend on her four alphas even more. It was adorable seeing them grow together, and the romance was kicked up a notch! We also get to learn more about each of the guys as individuals, and it helped round the story together. I loved getting a sneak peak into how Lila is doing, which I always love revisiting characters from other books. All in all, this was a fun an entertaining series from start to finish.
This is the end of the trilogy and Billie’s story. She’s come a long way in accepting who and what she is since her first book. Though at times her alpha men irritate me. Just because she’s a female and an omega doesn’t mean she can’t handle difficult or painful things. Overall this was a good conclusion and Billie and her guys had to work hard to get their HEA. It was good there was action along with the characters having to rely on each other to get through it all. I’m sad to say goodbye but enjoyed seeing how it all ended.
I felt bad because it took me a while to realize that I had read the previous book of this story. In the very beginning it felt like I had been dumped into the middle of a storyline because the vibe did not feel the same as the last book. Maybe because it has been a while since I read the last one. I have read a lot of books lately.
Things eventually did start to feel familiar and I ended up really liking this book a lot. Billy was great, the guys were great, and I was happy to see Lila and her guys be a part of the storyline. I enjoyed how there was a lot I wasn't able to predict in regards to the plot twists & that it felt like an emotional roller coaster at times. Very interesting read.
Liz gifts us a fantastic finale to the Love & Bonds series. The story of Billie and her pack continues from where where the previous books cliffhanger dropped us.. with more about the prophecy and where that puts all of them as Billie's bonds with her mates are solidified. A wild rollercoaster ride of emotions and events follows that pushes them towards a HEA that we were rooting for the entire time. Beautifully written with complex characters and plot twists, this book is well worth the read! Don't miss out on this series!!
I really enjoyed this second book and it’s even better than the first. I was really hungering for the answers to the questions we had and FINALLY we got them! I’m excited to state that we really get more in depth with the guys and that alone completely turned how I felt about them. The journey Billie had to take was a long and hard one but definitely worth it in the end. I felt that the author brought this conclusion to an end wonderfully. This was an all around great read and the little bit of action we got, was the cherry on top!
This book is a continuation of a series, but it centers around the main characters (pack) from the first book. To be honest I barely remember the “big bad” from the first book, and it was loosely tied to the second book (which I liked less), so I wasn’t all that invested in this book. Overall, this installment was just “meh” for me. The MFC’s stream of consciousness point of view became tiresome. Not enough that I wanted to abandon the book, but I didn’t find my mind wandering while I was reading. Not the worse I’ve read but also not a strong contender.
Another wonderful read! What i loved about this book was that we got to know more of the guys backstories which i felt the previous books lacked a little. A great book full of supernatural twists and turns that keep you engaged! Liz wrapped up love and bonds series by answering all my unanswered questions about the pack, but leaving me wondering about other characters so im hoping we will get to read more from this universe!
This story had a quite intricate plot and a sprawling feel as it covered it all. Billie, the omega doctor, who isnt totally in touch with her omega side and her four alpha mates, who are all alpha, coming together and finding their forever. Surely its going to be smooth sailing right? Finding out some characters are not who they seem, finding that faith in their bond, fighting enemies on all sides and finding some steamy times, this book is very good!
Great addition! Love this second book in Billie her story. The guys are great but not all things are communicated well as they hide things from her as well. I enjoyed the fact we get to know more about the guys since in the first book that wasn't done completely well but this one makes up for that. This book does conclude Billie her story but it's done in a way I didn't see coming for a long time and I love it. Well done!
Love and Battle is the conclusion of Billie's (FMC) and her mates story. More things come to light as the book progressed about the prophecy and their place within it. Intertwined with all of that is Billie and the guys relationship as to how it was developing. With plenty of steamy scenarios. The twists and turns of the plot in this book were just knockout and completely drew me in all the way through this book. A brilliant end to this series and I loved reading it. So good!
