For fans of the reality TV show Big Brother , welcome to House of Deceit.

In a cutthroat competition, loyalties will be tested and bridges will be burned. All par for the course in the House of Deceit. Newly single and recently unemployed Charlie Price wants nothing more than to ignore the crumbling pieces of her life. With dwindling savings and no luck in the job market, she's on the verge of giving up. That is until a drunken night with her best friend leads to an accidental application to join the cast of the riveting reality show, House of Deceit —a show notorious for its fierce contestants and enticing cash prize. Alec King, a disillusioned wrangler on the show, dreams of escaping his stagnant career and becoming a director. Choosing the season ten winner could be his ticket to success, and Charlie Price seems like the man to get him there. But there's a major problem—Charlie's application landed in the wrong pile, and since male wranglers cannot correspond with female contestants, their plans could go up in smoke. Despite the mix-up, Charlie and Alec realize they are each other's best chance to win the show, even if they can't seem to stop clashing at every turn. Yet when the cameras stop rolling, an undeniable romance catches them off guard, forcing them to navigate the treacherous waters of hidden desires. Their love story was never part of the script, but it just might be the best twist yet.

Holy smokes this was sooo well written!!! I am not a huge contemporary romance girly, but this has an excellent plot, INCREDIBLE banter, and a great ending. I almost read this in one sitting. I was mad I had to run errands so it took me a while 12 hour period to finish it.

This cannot be N.E. Butcher’s first novel. She writes with the experience of a seasoned author. I’ve never read a book based in a reality tv show, but I ate up the premise and the competitive nature of this book. The spicy 🌶️ scenes are so well done and well written. I will def be recommending this novel to my romance reading friends and I am sooo excited for Parker’s book next year!!

Thank you to the author for the ARC!

Update over a year later, I’m still looking for a reality TV romance with better vibes. I may need to reread soon.

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of House of Deceit. While I’m not typically a romance reader, I was drawn to the premise of this story. I haven’t read a book set on a reality tv set and thoroughly enjoyed it! I found the characters lovable and believable and I felt connected to all of them. Charlie is also an incredible MC. I do think the HEA was a bit unrealistic in some aspects just because it was all so perfect, but that’s my only critique. Thoroughly enjoyed this and looked forward to picking it up every day while reading!

ARC here!! I was stoked when I got the opportunity to read this, and it did not disappoint. I’m giving this book a 3.7! It took me less than two days to read, about 5 hours total I think. The concept was new and exciting, I feel like we haven’t gotten the inside scoop of popular shows like this, and it was such a cool dynamic! I wish we had gotten to see more of the connections actually build between house members, it felt a little fast in some areas. You know how books turn into movies, and you wish it was a tv show so there could be more of a detailed depiction? I wish this book was longer, because I wanted more detail! It gives the vibe of, yeah, you might know how it’ll end, but it’s a good story so you want to keep reading anyways. It made me silent scream, it made me audibly say “wtf” to my empty living room, and there’s a cute button at the end of the story like a “where are they now” that caps it well. Maybe a little *too* happy ending, like everything works out for everybody, but maybe that’s just the dark romance reader in me 😂

House of Deceit.
This amazing reality TV romcom, I was lucky enough to ARC read. Loads of fun, relatable and lovable characters, to the point pacing, a delicious slow burn romance and a HEA that warms every romance reader's heart.

Charlie the FMC and Alec the MMC, both had a unique flow to them and their way of thinking, that it'd be simply impossible not to connect with them while you're reading. Personally, I haven't read many books about reality shows, so for me this idea was new and so refreshing. If you're a reality TV fan, you will love this 100%.

To be honest this didn't feel like it was NE Butcher's debut book. It's a lovely idea, lovely delivered and from main characters to side characters, setting and descriptions, it's so well written and it doesn't fail to entertain. For me that is huge success for someone on their first book.

Interactions/ chemistry between all the different personalities and banter in the house were *chef's kiss*. Both romantic and friendly, everyone had their own spolight to show their own unique self and make you care for them.

Last but not least, the FMC often had serious thoughts about serious life things like jobs, money, a feeling of helplessness, troubles that you and me probably have at some point, making her even easier to relate to. A really nice "deeper meaning" touch to a really fun and entertaining book.

House of Deceit is coming on October 1st. Happy reading!

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I cannot believe this is a debut author. Knowing that I went into this book with low expectations. The beginning made me immediately skeptical that I would enjoy this book since it followed the usual formula of losing your job and boyfriend in the same day. But within 3 chapters I was hooked. You can’t not love the main character. She’s funny, honest, and real. The main male character is sexy and his love for his sister is so endearing. The game show the book is based on was super interesting to become invested in and really gave the book some drama in a way that wasn’t annoying.

The love story in this book was all you could want in a novel but the real gem, in my opinion, were the numerous friendships. The author nailed a lifelong best friendship. Their relationship made me miss my own best friend and that tells you it’s good writing. The side characters were a blast and truly made the book so unique compared to the others I’ve read recently and I was so sad to say bye to each and every one of them.

If you need a fast paced, quirky, highly entertaining book then you have to give this book a read! I cannot wait for her next book coming in 2024 and am only upset I have to wait that long for it.

✨ARC REVIEW✨

I have never in my life watched reality TV, so I never thought I’d enjoy a book about it… until now.

This book was fantastic! I enjoyed every moment of it. It made me laugh so hard at one point, I almost peed 🤣

Poor Charlie went through the ringer in the beginning of the book and I felt for her! We’ve all had those days where it seemed nothing was going our way, so bonus points for relatability!

Alec was giving hot as heck loner vibes, so of course I was obsessed from the beginning. Who doesn't love a guy who always wears black and gives off dom vibes, but has a soft side for his sister?

Watching their attraction slowly eat away at them until… well, you know 😏

I absolutely devoured this book and will probably reread it again soon. 5⭐

This was a super fun read and I found myself laughing at the banter Charlie had with literally everyone. She is scrappy and is not afraid to put anyone in their place, including Alec.

Despite having a penchant for following the rules, Alec couldn’t help but break a few with Charlie. He has to navigate following his dreams or choosing love while keeping their affairs secret. This was a slowburn but it’s DESCRIPTIVE! No fade to black here 🙌🏽

P.S. y’all he likes giving hand necklaces 👀

I had so much fun reading this! I don’t watch much reality tv, but I’m such a sucker for a romance novel that takes place on the set of a reality tv competition. Reading this was a no brainer!

Charlie, sick of being undervalued and undermined at work, quits her job. Then she gets dumped. A girls night fueled by tequila and a near empty bank account, ends with Charlie accidentally applying to be a contestant on a Big Brother-esque game show called House of Deceit. And surprise, she’s selected!

Her wrangler is grumpy, moody, by-the-book Alec — who was expecting Charlie to be a man. Alec has been a wrangler on House of Deceit for 10 years and desperately needs his contestant to win this year in order to break out of wrangling and into directing. He’s used to being cold and calculated towards his contestants, but Charlie’s no bullshit attitude quickly has him cracking. (Charlie is such a badass, btw.)

There’s a whole cast of personalities living in the mansion, their every move caught on camera. Each week they have a different competition followed by voting and then elimination. There are friendships and alliances and rivalries. One terrible bully. Lots of pranks.

While the competition heats up, so does the chemistry between Charlie and Alec. Stolen moments in the interview room. Charlie chipping away at Alex’s stony exterior, revealing the tatted, dirty-talking softie beneath.

I loved the banter, the chemistry, the romance, the competition, the friendships. It was just so much fun! And I can’t wait for the next book!! Parker deserves the world!

Thank you to the author for the ARC! House of Deceit comes out October 1! You should read it!

I enjoyed this book so much!!

Upon reading this, I looked at other people’s reviews and most of them were 4 stars. I think this deserves 5 cause I really liked the idea of our character being on a reality tv show(who doesn’t like the guilty pleasures of produced tv?). Normally, I don’t like the competition plot but for me, it seemed natural and fun. The spice was spicy I would say the second half of the book which honestly didn’t bother me. The only thing that was a small bother was that the title is “forced proximity” which I get but it makes it sound like Charlie hated Alec or vice versa. Honestly, I’m glad it wasn’t that way cause it just felt more genuine.

I think honestly, I really enjoyed Parker and I hope he gets what he deserves in life cause I truly felt bad for him that he hasn’t found his person yet and he’s so loyal to the people he cares about. I will definitely be reading the next book(which I found out it’s about Parker so yay).

Charlie quits her job after her ex/boss once again refuses to publish her work. Returning home she’s blindsided by a note from her live in boyfriend saying it’s over and he has moved out!

Devastated and running short of funds, she and her best friend Courtney drunkingly sign her up for a reality TV show.

To her surprise she is chosen, big twist they think she is a guy.

Her super hot wrangler Alex goes to bat for her setting her on course to win, of course he’s looking to advance his own career too.

Sparks fly, feelings are real, conversations are snarky and witty. Lots of great banter between contestants with alliances plus friendships and some enemies evolving.

Fun, well written and added steamy scenes make it a great read.

I received a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions in this review are my own.

I haven’t ever watched Big Brother, but I think House of Deceit is similar? Love the idea of contestant-wrangler forbidden romance on a reality show, and this book delivers exactly what you think. A bit too much spice for my taste, but fans of the genre will be pleased.

I’m a sucker for a good banter and this book? Lots of it! The characters themselves are are equally lovable and personal. NE does an excellent job at portraying each individual’s personality and making it seem like you’re right there with them in their conversations.

The story follows Charlie (absolutely love our FML, she’s the sweetest but will fiercely protect those she love) and Alec (I’m a sucker for grumpy men in black) as they navigate both the game and their complicated feelings they seem to have towards the other.

I love a good rom-com, but I never realized how invested I’d be with the other characters as well! I loved the friendships made between them and found myself wanting more from the side characters which I find is a hard skill for a writer to accomplish. Honestly this book was such a fun read and I can’t wait for more people to read it!!

Thank you NE for allowing me to read House of Deceit early!! I can’t wait for everyone to read it as well!!

I was lucky enough to get this story as an ARC and y’all. This book. The premise is what originally drew me in. A rom com on the set of a big-brother-like game show?? Say less.

NE Butcher is a genius when it comes to banter. I love the romance of the book, but I honestly might love Charlie’s friendship with Courtney even more. Butcher does such a good job of capturing their closeness that I found myself wishing I could have Courtney as a friend too🥹

And Alec?? Again. Say less. We love a jealous grump who’s a secret softie (coffee scene🥹). Honestly all of Butchers characters are top tier, which is amazing considering how many she has. They’re all so distinct and lovable UGH I just wanna party with all of them.

Love it. Read it. 10/10 book❤️‍🔥

Once I saw that this book was marketed towards fans of Big Brother, I knew I had to read it. This was a super fast-paced romance read that proved impossible to put down. I immediately fell in love with the main character Charlie from the first scene which made it so easy to get into. As someone who has watched Big Brother I did find myself wishing for some more detail in the games themselves, but that would understandably make it harder to move forward with the main focus of the story. Honestly I just wish the book was longer so the relationship could have taken a little more time to really give a good slow burn. This book did have a lot more spice than I was expecting based on the description/cover so that was a surprise. All in all, I found myself really enjoying the story and the side characters and will absolutely be checking out Parker’s spin off book when it comes out!

House of Deceit will be available October 1st, 2023.

I was so very lucky to be able to read House of Deceit early and I can’t wait for all my romance loving friends to get their hands on it!

As most people who know me are already aware of, I don’t love romance/rom com books.
Specifically, I almost never read books that are romance in the real world because the real world is boring and I’m already in it so why would I.

House of Deceit is *anything* but boring. The premise of the big brother-esque reality show was incredibly entertaining, and in addition to the romance/main plot of the book it felt like you were getting a fun behind the scenes look at a real show!

I want to immediately throw out why this is a 4 star for me and not a total 5, mainly because I think for a good amount of my friends…my 4 star reasonings will actually get them to read it ;)

so here it is, I am not a *huge* spice girlie. *GASP*. I know. How am I a lover of all things romantasy if I don’t crave spice? To be honest…I usually skim it…*louder gasp*. Most of my 4 star books are 4 stars because I am not a lover of the spicy vibes. I am a slow burn girlie through and through.

So my struggle here was the chunk of spice. But. BUT. It is by no means over the top AND it is EXTREMELY well written spice if I do say so myself. That was my thought the entire time…N.E knows how to write spice *well*. Also she gave us a “good girl” moment and I’m always always here for that.

Now on to all my 4 star love:

- Charlie was an EASY FMC to fall in love with…I had just finished attempting to enjoy a different rom com by an incredibly popular author before I read House of Deceit, and I couldn’t STAND the FMC so this was an absolute breath of fresh air.

- Alec King is an absolute slay of a MMC name and I adored him for that. Was I disappointed that Alec’s motorcycle never made an appearance? Absolutely. Am I banking on it being in the sequel that must exist? yes. Cough cough. It better be.

- Side characters are always important to me, and they were not lacking in HoD. I wanted more of them constantly, and I truly hope we get to see their stories someday!

- Banter. This author *knows* witty banter. we love her for that.

- I already mentioned the behind the scenes aspect of this book, but I want to reiterate that it was so cool to read the process of the challenges/eliminations/prizes for winning and consequences for losing. Was probably one of my top things about this book!

In summary - if you love rom coms this book is for you! If you love game shows with a little romance this book is definitely for you! If you love spice…let alone well written spice, run don’t walk :)

Can’t wait to see more from this author in the future!

This was such a funny and cute book! It gives you all the vibes of Big Brother but in a book! House of Deceit follows Charlotte Price as she is a contestant on the TV House of Deceit. For twelve weeks she is in a house with strangers and has to compete in competitions in order to become the last one standing.

Charlie and her best friend Courtney are attached at the hip and do everything together including watching all nine seasons of House of Deceit. After Charlie has numerous bad cards dealt her way she finds herself in her apartment with Courtney and a bottle of tequila. Not remembering much the next day she goes about her business and tries to come up with a plan to get her life back on track.

She receives a phone call that she is chosen to become a contestant on the show House of Deceit. She then remembers her drunkenly filling out the application with Courtney from their night together. She finds out how much the price money is and thinks this could be the win she needs.

Our other main character in this book is Alec King. He is known as a "wrangler" for the show House of Deceit where each wrangler is assigned a contestant and essentially takes them under their wing. From the stack of papers he chooses the contestant Charles Price thinking it is a male contestant. But it turns out Courtney's nickname for Charlotte is Charles.

When Charlie makes her way on set she is met with many questions. But after finding out she can continue on the show and Alec is her wrangler she seems to calm down. Alec helps her navigate the ins and outs of the show since he has been there since season one.

As they spend more and more time together lines get blurred as well as feelings are involved. But they find themselves in a situation and need to make a choice... Will Charlie win House of Deceit? Will Alec and Charlie finally be together!? You gotta read to find out!

This was a spicy, rom com that had me laughing out loud! I loved Courtney and Charlie's friendship but I also liked how close Charlie got with the contestants on the show. She really came out of her shell and I loved the character development! Definitely can't wait for Parker's story!

Read If You Enjoy:
🩷 Witty Banter
🩷 Forced Proximity
🩷 Spicy Slow Burn

I think I may have found my new favourite rom-com setting; reality TV shows. I adored this spicy rom-com, and cover-to-cover could not put it down.

Charlie, after being dumped by her boyfriend and quitting her job, feels like her world is crumbling around her and is on the verge of losing her apartment. After a night of too much tequila and binge-watching the House of Deceit reality TV show with her best friend Courtney, she accidentally applies to be on the show. Fast forward a couple of months, she finds out her application has been accepted, and she is going to be a contestant on the next season of the show.

I am not even sure where to start with what I loved about this book because there is just so much. The romance and the humour were so good. Witty banter, slow burn, and so much delicious tension and pining. I loved the reality TV setting inspired by Big Brother, and it made for a great plot. The characters in the house were so loveable, and I enjoyed the relationships that Charlie had with each of them. Charlie was fierce, outspoken, and relatable. Alec is dark, brooding, and a little bit possessive. And then there is the spice 🔥. The stolen moments in the interview room, dirty-talking Alec, and their undeniable chemistry.

This is a book rom-com lovers don't want to miss and I can't wait for book two and Parker's story!

Thank you, N.E. Butcher, for providing me with an ARC copy of House of Deceit in exchange for an honest review.

I was one of the lucky people who got to read an ARC of House of Deceit - and I devoured it DOWN in a solid 2 days! If you're looking for a rom com with an incredibly unique concept (I haven't seen any other romance books with the same premise) and genuine, heartwarming, shenanigan-filled connections between both the romantic leads AND the MCs with their respective side characters, you've found a book for you!

The build between our romantic leads, Alec and Charlie, was so authentic, and it's so easy to fall for their bond from the jump. Between them chiding one another lovingly, Charlie's down-to-earth but no-fucks mentality, and Alec's grumpy attention to detail, I found myself smiling down at the pages PLENTY of times as their story progressed.

My completely unexpected favorite parts of the book were by far the side characters that contributed to both Charlie and Alec's storylines. Whether it was laughing at Charlie's batty but adoring parents, the energy-matching best friend Courtney, the in-house partner-in-crime Parker, or Alec's sister and best friend couple combo, I truly would want separate books for ALL of them. Easily. (NE, get on that, would you???) It's hard to get us readers to be as invested in all characters as we are in the MCs, and NE CRUSHED it!

This is such an easy delicious read that I would recommend to just about anyone - a huge shoutout to NE for letting me read it early!

From the description of this book I knew I had to read it, it had such an original setting and storyline that I'd never read or heard of before, and I'm a massive fan of unique stories.

The book opens up with loveable main character Charlie having a truly terrible day, then after a drunken night with her best friend Courtney she accidentally signs up to be an a reality TV show. I loved Charlie, she was hilarious and feisty. She didn't let anyone push her about and she's passionate about what she does.

The storyline follows the events of her being in the House of Deceit whilst having a forbidden slow burn romance with her mentor/wrangler Alec. It's fairly fast paced, but I did find that some parts in the middle were a little slow. The direction of the plot was a little predictable, but I still enjoyed it and liked that it was easy to read and had some toe curling spicy scenes.

Speaking of, Alec was such a good love interest. At first he seems like a womaniser, but as we read more from his POV we see that he's falling head over heels for Charlie. He's supportive and wants the best for her despite his own dreams having some conflict there. His acts of love were so sweet, and though the ending was cliche and super happy, I still loved it.

The character dynamics in this book were definitely the highlight for me. The conflicts, friendships and family relationships were so well written and immersive. I can't wait for Parkers book, the man needs a romance of his own.

4/5 🌟

I was interested in reading House of Deceit because I really enjoy the forced proximity and high stakes of a reality television setting. I also like books about people whose lives fall apart and they have to start over. I enjoyed Charlie and Alec's story. I liked how Charlie and Alec were always a team. I also enjoyed the humor in this book and really liked Charlie's friends and family. I also really enjoyed the spice in this book and the forbidden aspect of the relationship was fun. I did get a little confused about some of the side characters. With so many people starting out on the show I would get confused with who was who. I also would have liked to see Alec and Charlie bond a little more emotionally. We got the idea they had long conversations but we didn't always see it on page. Also this book skips settings a lot and I would get confused what was happening now. I felt a little disconnected from the reality show part of it and the story focused more on Charlie's experience which was the point but I got a little confused about the rules at different times. Overall however, I thought this was a fun read! I'm excited to hear there will be a sequel and we'll get to learn more about Parker.

I devoured House of Deceit. Putting it down just wasn’t an option, except for my mandatory 8pm bedtime because I'm geriatric AF. Butcher took the chaos and thrill of a reality tv-style competition and turned it into a slow-burn, workplace/forbidden/grumpy x sunshine romance that had me both grinning and blushing.

Charlie is the kind of FMC you instantly root for — she's scrappy, witty, and the nouveau girl-next-door. Alec is broody and focused, and happens to be Charlie's wrangler (like a reality tv show producer for individual cast members) for House of Deceit. Their grumpy x sunshine dynamic is perfection, and let’s just say the spice is SPICY.

Besides the romance, the found family element made my heart so happy — from ride-or-die best friends to quirky housemates to Charlie's adorable doting parents. Add in the dark humor and razor-sharp one-liners (Courtney is the best!), and I was actually laughing out loud more than once. The competitions were fun, but the heart of the story came from the relationships that grew inside the house.

I’ve never been a huge reality TV watcher, but this year I’ve been all about fictional parodies of it — and this one was absolutely perfect. I wish everyone would go out, buy it, and read it immediately.

Overall, I’m happy I read this book. My main criticism is how quickly the main characters fell in love. It seemed a little rushed considering their limited interactions. It was hard to buy in to the idea they were crazy in love when it felt like they didn’t know each other. While I’m sure there was a clearer timeline in the authors head, it did not always translate well to the page. I think that is where this disconnect of Charlie and Alec’s relationship stems from.

I really loved how each character got to have a full personality and reader was able to get attached. The author did a great job of ensuring I cared about the side characters as much as the main characters. I was able to care about each person in the house and be heartbroken when they got eliminated (except Cain lol). I was a little worried about trying to follow the reality show as it played out but Butcher has a great skill for writing as if you’re watching it happen live. I will be tuning back in for Parker’s journey in 2024!

I have grown to love this genre of contemporary romance books! I freaking enjoyed and loved this book!

This is my first N.E. Butcher book and consider me a huge fan! I loved the concept of this book. It reminded me of the show Big Brother. The main character, Charlotte or Charlie, is a real "girls' girl". I loved her from the jump. I was unsure about Alec, but he grew on me. Then, he pissed me off again.

Charlie's relationships within the house were so fun and hilarious. Her dynamic was Keith was my favorite. I loved how Parker was there for her and 110% her support system throughout her time in the house and out of it. I loved it when Parker punched Alec and then befriended him so Alec could go get his girl. (I CAN'T WAIT FOR PARKER'S BOOK)

I was so heartbroken for Charlie when Alec broke up with her and the wording he used to do it. Ugh, pissed off. I understand it but man. I was pissed. I was relieved they found their way back to each other in the end. HOLY HELL, the spicy between them was perfection (clapping)!!

I recommend this book and can't wait for 'House of Desire' with Parker's story!

I really really enjoyed this!! It gives off Big Brother vibes and reminds me of some of my favorite reality tv shows (and books based on reality tv). I enjoyed Charlie's relationships with other people in the house and loved getting to know a wide variety of characters- Keith (aka grandpa) is one of my favs. I got caught up in both the plot and the romance (it wasn't just one or the other), and I felt the story flowed very naturally. This was incredibly well written. I will say that the ending wrapped up almost too perfectly if that's even a thing? Like Charlie got everything she ever wanted and more. Not that I'm complaining because I love a happy ending but I personally felt like there was just a bit too much going on at the end. Overall, I would highly highly recommend this one! I really enjoyed it and also love supporting an indie author. Will be raving about this for the next 10000 million years.

This was a really cute read! I’m not a reality tv person but still thought the concept was fun and interesting! Charlie is adorable and I love her wittiness and the banter between her and her grumpy wrangler, Alec! There were times where I was laughing out loud 😂 I loved the interview room scenes and getting to slowly see Alec open up to Charlie. I loved his relationship with his sister and Tank. All of the characters were great- except Cain of course 🙄 It was spicier than I was expecting (no complaints whatsoever there 🤪) and left me wanting more of Charlie and Alec’s interview escapades! I loved Charlie and Parker’s relationship and seeing that Parker would do anything to make sure she was happy! The ending was the cutest. Overall, I really enjoyed this and I would love to see Parker or Molly’s story in the future! 💗☺️

I don’t think I’ve finished a book this fast in years! House of Deceit grabbed my attention from the first chapter. I’m normally not a fan of reality shows but the writing had me hooked instantly! Charlie’s friendships with Molly, Keith and Parker felt so genuine and real. I was honestly devastated when Molly and Keith were eliminated! The suspense of if Charlie would make it through each week had me on the edge of my seat, and I flew through the finale chapter. The relationship between Charlie and Alec was a perfect balance of sweet and spicy, and my heart broke with Charlie’s when things went downhill. This has definitely been one of my top reads this year, and I can’t wait to see how Parker’s story unfolds in House of Desire!

Ohhhh emmmm GEEEEE!!!! 🤩🤩🤩 This book…this book right here was everything I wanted and didn’t know I needed. I’m a HUGE reality tv fan and this book made me not miss WATCHING reality tv CUZ I WAS READING IT INSTEAD!

I received this as an ARC and I’m so glad and honored to get to read this!

I would say the show in this book is a mix of the old school Real World and Big Brother with a sprinkle of Love Island as the eliminations we’re done live.

A short summary:
“Charlie’s life is falling a part so in a drunken state she signs up for her favorite reality show ‘House of Deceit’ and she’s chosen”

Grumpy-ish sunshine romance. Idk I just LOVED this book so so much. Congrats to you for such a fun read and it truly was an experience 🤪
