There is a respect for nature, our heritage and for craftsmanship that is conveyed by Underhill. Not only a good read but a core reference.

I can't pin it down, but I loved the tone of this book. I love his evident fellowship with the trees. It made me want to walk in the woods, find myself a tree and made something of it.
