When an unwed fifteen year old gives birth to twins, one baby is legally adopted by a military family, while the other is adopted out of the back of an ambulance in a seedy part of New York City. When the mother arrives at the hospital with one child, no one ever suspected that there was another baby somewhere in the city. As the years march along, the twins grow up in vastly different circumstances and are quickly turning into polar opposites. Adopted by the wealthy Holt family, Libby Ann has a passion for acting, a best friend named Sawyer, and no idea she was adopted. With her on-again, off-again friendship and romance with Sawyer and budding acting career, Libby Ann seems to have it all. Penelope on the other hand has moved to England with her family, where she lost a family member to cancer and is quickly developing psychotic tendencies. On the other side of the world, Penelope is spiraling back down a dark and dangerous road, after attempting to get her life back on track. With all roads seemingly converging on the French Riviera, the twins seem destined to meet each other for the first time. However, with such differences in their personalities, will they reunite and be the prodigal siblings? Or will a web of deceit and bodies pile up at their identical feet? Glass Shadow is an exciting new crime fiction thriller by Tonya Sharp Hyche. Comparable to the works of Sandra Brown and Lisa Jackson, the novel is a fast-paced romance that will enthrall readers from the beginning. Featuring murder, an evil twin, and a love story, this murder mystery is packed with gripping suspense and a captivating plot. Perfectly suited for all fans of romance, murder, and thrillers, this entertaining novel will hook everyone who reads it and leave them wondering about the power of evil.

A super easy read.... a super quick read.... a straightforward mystery with mild suspense.

My book club received seven signed copies for read for review. On the balance, the group thought the story and the characters were not very developed. The bad guy was a bad guy through and through, but for some reason, as he was nearly constantly drunk or physically abusive to Penelope, he didn't talk tough-guy talk. This felt inconsistent.

If you need a breather between "heavy" reads, this may be just the ticket. There is a touch of mystery, a touch of romance, dysfunction and extra spacing between paragraphs, making this a super easy, little-thinking required read.

Thank you, Ms Hyche, for offering this book for book club.

I received a copy of the book as a GoodReads First Reads winner. The plot line provided the base for a very unique story, but I found myself asking a lot of questions after I had finished the book. There were so many things that she touched on that I wish maybe had been explored in a little more detail. Although I do understand that, to explore all of the questions I found myself asking, the book would have been an additional 100 pages long. I did like the book, but I just wish she had maybe explored a few things a little more. It is a good book to read and if you like thrillers that leave you asking questions this one will be a treat.

Great plot, great suspense and great story telling.
reading immediately after Fifty Shades, found the s e x scenes much better and wrapped up quickly. Talking about the story.
There was a lag sometimes and also sometimes the story changed abruptly, but the involvement never changed. it intensifies on every chapter.
I liked it.
