This is the second book of the Genation series. The first book was a great origin story to launch who the main characters are and where they came from. Genation Verticus is an explosive action packed adventure that explores the world of the volks. I enjoyed the humor and action along with the colorful and descriptive way the world of Verticus was explained. What I felt I took away from this story were some interesting situations in a world that functioned without money and had to deal with an unstable sun. The creative appliances of volks was also very inventive.
