I loved this book which I won on Librarything giveaways and was flooded with memories of the Maine Coon Cat I had about 20 years ago, surely the smartest and most beautiful cat I have ever owned. The pictures are stunning, showing a variety of the gorgeous cats, along with wonderful short stories about many of these cats. The author also includes a lot of information about this particular breed; its characteristics, temperament, size, and basically everything a Maine Coon Cat owner or potential owner could want to know. Thanks you so much to the author for sending me this terrific book. I appreciate it and loved the book.

My daughter asked for a Maine Coon picture book after meeting one in real life. I picked this book from its high Amazon ratings. However, it’s much more than a simple picture book. There are lots of professional and high quality pictures, but there are also old vintage pictures as the author gives an extended history of this breed. In addition to the history, are recounts of mythology and even health information for the breed.

⚠️ Parental Warning ⚠️

A lot of research went into the book, and it’s presented very well. Though, a couple things to consider before you purchase is that evolution is mentioned throughout as we learn about the breed’s unique features and history.
Among the interviews with Maine Coon enthusiasts and breeders, is about a page’s worth of text about a psychic and practitioner of Reiki, the healing practice of transferring of universal energy by laying hands on another person.
