Conviction

Well, I'm a writer. From a small town in Texas (Huntsville) not known for too much else besides prisons, executions and the local colleges Criminal Justice program. I actually have always had a way with written words, technically, I've always been a writer. The discovery of this gift to speak to and touch others with my words however, did not come until I was 18. My High School had a poetry slam and I had never written poetry before then. I received a standing ovation and it was pretty much my awakening that this gift was not mine to keep. Since then, I've written short stories and I'm working on my second and third compilations of poetry as well as my fi rst novel.
