I recently decided to pull this guy off of my bookshelf and have a look through. I had forgotten how much I loved this book as a teenager, it's literally covered in highlighted passages. This is an older book that I stole from my mom when I left home but I had read it many times over by that time. I love the recipes provided in each section which cover such things from medicinal applications, to cosmetic uses, to culinary applications. It's definitely a fun read if you enjoy gardening or herbology in general.

I consider this my gardening bible. I have moved a lot and books have come and gone, but I always make sure this book goes with me. Great tips for companion planting, composting, and so much more. If you want to have a small vegetable garden or planting to sustain your family, this is the book you want on the shelf.
