"Reah, I know you're not happy with us right now, but we didn't order the firebombing. RAA moved without consulting us.""And I'm supposed to believe that?""Reah, you're being disrespectful with a superior." I didn't answer him. If he knew how disrespectful I wanted to be--I was staring at Xiri's bones, after all. I sobbed. "Reah? Reah, are you still there?""You be respectful, Vice-Director, the next time a friend's bones lie beneath your hand." I cut off the communication. Lendill didn't try again. The Drakus seed trade is threatening to destroy the Alliance as an old enemy reemerges. Reah is placed in the thick of that battle, with no experience and little help from her superiors. Unexpected betrayals and alliances come, and Reah must use every bit of her strength and wit to protect those she loves.

4.5 Stars SPOILERS THROUGHOUT: I really liked this book. It was fast paced and there was never a dull moment. I liked all of the intrigue and spying involved in the main plot. I loved all of the new characters we got introduced to as well as found some new characters that I love to hate. This series has a lot of potential and I really like where it is going. Reah is amazing. The stuff she goes through in each book is astounding. She went from being a cook in her family's restaurant, to being a special agent for the ASD. I am very surprised that she is handling it as well as she is. I love how big Reah's heart is. She cares about everyone around her and would sacrifice just about anything to keep them safe. Reah is truly a good person and I can't wait to see more of her in the future. I don't know how I feel about Lendill. The way he treated Reah at the beginning of this book was horrible. I honestly don't know how he thinks that she will forgive him so easily and be willing to become his mate. He has some serious groveling and apologizing to do if he truly wants to be with her. I think my favorite characters of the whole book were the reptanoids. I loved Farzi, Nenzi, and all of the others. I really hope that they are okay and return for future books.
As I was reading this fo the third time I realized that I hasn’t left a review. This book is so good that I have read it at least 3 times and there will be many more in the future. If that isn’t a indication of how good this series is nothing will,
I hate how these books end. The action takes forever to get around to happening in this book. I dislike how much I have to figure out what Reah thinks it took me a while to figure out it took several times rereading for me to get it. We also didn't get a lot of Auri and that drove me nuts too.
I felt like what happened in this book was a bit too drawn out but I still enjoyed it. Still don't like how these books end though.
I love all of Connie Suttle's books. She is by far at the top of my list. You get enveloped in the amazing world that she has created. No matter which series you read, they all have the same magical world that brings them together at some point.
The female leads are strong even though they are constantly undermined by men. Kick ass women is always a wonderful read.
I loved Reah's first book so much that I wasn't sure the second could compare...luckily it more than did! I've loved all the books by Ms Suttle, but Reah's has a special place in my heart. :-)
I haven't gotten past chapter 2, so I cannot say how the book is, but …
Her main female characters read like that were made from a cookie cutter. Not only are they the same, but the characters are not very strong. I could accept that the 1st time because there are many types of people. But a second female character (Reah) like the first (Lissa), I do not like. The women are taken advantage of left and right and they do nothing about it. The forgive people who seriously wrong them (ie almost killing them) and they just overlook it and still deal with these people (I admit they apologize and feel bad, but how many times would that fly before you get mad and just loose it). Not only do the women characters forgive, they ignore wrong doings and accept it as normal. Not only are the women easily led, there are "millions" of men who love taking care of them and fighting their battles, even though the women are often more powerful than the man. It is really disappointing reading about these women especially when a women is the writer. Can I get some strong female characters or at least some different types of females.
Connie Suttle is another automatic buy and I love that when I buy one of her books I am going to get thrown right in and dragged along for the ride. And what a ride it is - her MCs get pummeled left right and center and the angst and abuse they take is immense but I love them, the world and the fact these books are a decent length, I always want more but you get a decent dollop of story each time.
Reah has been betrayed, and now she's being told by her superiors to help with a drug problem. She's going to be put right in the thick of things no matter how she really feels about it.
This book was really good, and a great sequel to the first one. I'm excited for more in this series, and I really liked Reah a whole lot. I also enjoyed how the characters from this series tie into a previous series of this authors.
Another excellent story! The author, Connie Suttle, has done another fantastic job in her third series! I can't wait to read the next one! Mrs. Suttle has also gotten really good at writing endings that leave you wanting more and this one is no exception. Although it's not quite as harrowing as the others usually are, it still leaves you hanging.
I love this new series by Connie Suttle! The way this book is linked to the Blood series is wonderful because I do not feel like I miss anything. Re's story is close to Lissa's in the way that she is used and abused to get what others want, but she is strong and she survives the best way she knows how. There is action, love, betrayal and friendship everything a good book needs. A must read!
Oh my goodness the twist and turn in this book left me speechless. Just when I thought Reah has found a few people she could trust and love they slip away from her and leave her worse than before. I have read this series quite a few times a my heart is still thumping and breaking throughout this book! Love this authors writing and world building.
5 stars all the way I would of gave it 10/10. If I could theses books made me cry . I felt so sorry for rach I want to shout that the others for treating rach like that. If for my sister hooked on ur books now . She just as bad as me n

I LOVED it. I think it´s much better than the 1st book. Reah is finally growing up and it´s fun to see she´s gonna be surrounded by a lot of mates. Have to say, I didn´t expect the final twist, it was awesome, can´t wait to read the 3rd book.
Why oh why can there never be a build up to any of her love interests? They just love immediately. No relationship building whatsoever. I just don't get it. I really enjoy parts of each book, but this definitely brings down the overall experience of the books.
In order for me to even read this series, it is imperative to read the previous series (Blood Destiny). Re's story mirrors Lissa's in the way that she is used and abused repeatedly. There is no shortage of action and betrayals aplenty...but it's addicting.
We see how she develops and finds out what she is. I'm not really crazy about the control issues within the book. I'm hoping as the series continues we get to see more compassion from her mates.
As with other Connie Suttle books you cannot believe the amount of deceit that happens, mostly done by the ones who swear to love Reah. Another great book. Finish in a few hours. Very addictive.
i don't know what more messed up, the fact that he did that to her or the fact that he was so cold to her after all that he was to her. And then he taken the snake shifters from her as well.
