Books like these are the reason the phrase "Holy shit!" was invented. Injustice:Gods Among Us is everything "The New 52" is not, for understandable reasons. The shock value is too much, and not just the shock value- Tom Taylor manages to catch the reader off-guard and surprise him time and again. An epic series so far.

Another one dead .. very sad .. Awesome. This series was a companion to the game of the same name and pits heroes in DC universe against each other.

I have always loved comics, and I hope that I will always love them. Even though I grew up reading local Indian comics like Raj Comics or Diamond Comics or even Manoj Comics, now's the time to catch up on the international and classic comics and Graphic novels. I am on my quest to read as many comics as I can. I Love comics to bit, may comics never leave my side. I loved reading this and love reading more, you should also read what you love and then just Keep on Reading.

There are many great reasons to have your story set in an alternate universe. You can play around with the standards set in the original stories, lead readers into a sense of security and familiarity only to jerk it all away at the last instance. But I think the best reason so far is you get to kill characters that you normally wouldn't be able to touch with a ten-foot pole.

In a surprising move, they kill off the heart and soul of the DC universe: Nightwing, aka Dick Grayson. To have him die accidentally at the hands of his and Batman's protege Damian Wayne, the current Robin in this universe, is even more devastating. Yes, at the back of your mind this doesn't count since it's not part of the current continuity, but your heart still bleeds out as you see Batman collapse with his "son's" death. Best scene for me is when heroes and villains alike stand in attendance as the Dark Knight carries his son's body out of the asylum, lamenting the fact that he's been abandoned by a loved one once more.

"Hay un grito que no puede ser silenciado, está elevándose haciéndose más fuerte y más fuerte. Es el grito de un niño abandonado, de repente hace mucho. El grito que resonó, entonces resuena de igual manera en mi mente. Penetra todos los lugares oscuros, golpea contra la perdida rebota contra el arrepentimiento y el dolor. Él se fue. Fui abandonado de nuevo. Mi hijo murió"
